I recommend getting the Chai Tea Latte! The atmosphere here is so cool. It’s the typical Austin vibe. It’s a bit loud for studying, but I think the environment is worth to go. The shop itself was larger than I expected. They have a patio outside, and a bunch of different areas you can choose to study. I’d say half of the seating is inside, and the other half is outside.

I have searched far and wide in many cities and even countries to find a place that has a decent iced almond milk latte… and I have finally found one at Cenote. MORE than decent– excellent! Thank you thank you thank you… I don’t know if it’s the almond milk they use or the coffee or the ratio of each, but it’s great.

Stopped by this place for breakfast. There was a long line a the counter but once I ordered, the food came out quickly. I had the bbq chicken sandwich which was served with a pickle. The sandwich was good, but for the price, it should have came with chips or fries. Also had the migas which were good. The food is decent but maybe a little overpriced. I like the ambiance with plenty of outdoor seating. The outdoor area is dog friendly.

Grunge jams in a 100 year old east Austin house, with delicious Wild Gift coffee and migas. The migas plate was better than expected in a beautiful extra crispy and greasy kinda way. But, the best part of this place is the staff and the beautiful house and patio. I love the vine enclosed patio. One of the servers would soulfully never know the lyrics but still sing along, and the guy who checked me out was super friendly and reminded me to GETHYPED about game of thrones tonight. Cleganebowl. I thought it was fun to think that my 14 year old self and 28 year old self would equally enjoy hanging here.

The ambiance, food, and coffee here is really enjoyable. It gets pretty packed, but it’s a good study spot. However, the reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is every time I have been the wifi either doesn’t work or is really slow, so I only do reading/writing here. The breakfast burrito is really good, as well as the lattes.

One of the few coffee shops that has it all — great food(healthy salads, amazing sandwiches), good beverage options(coffee, decent chai), and fast Wi-fi. It’s one of my favorite places in town to read, get some work done, or catch up with friends. Also, it’s in a cute, rustic house that offers indoor and outdoor seating options. Lastly, they have a killer playlist that has me awkwardly Shazaming every 5 minutes. One of my favorite places in Austin!

Iced coffee tastes so good when it’s cold brew and there’s 6+ different sugar and milk options to add. Good place to get some work done. A little dark, but has a cute East Austin charm that isn’t overwhelming or pungent in any sense. Wouldn’t mind if it was 24 hours. Will be returning to try other drinks, if their iced coffee wasn’t so addicting.

The coffee here is surprisingly good and the mugs are huge! My friends and I had the breakfast sandwich and it wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything special(I felt like a typical breakfast sandwich you find at other cafes). I did enjoy their outdoor seating area and the restaurant’s staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Came here for brunch. It’s a very«Austin» place with its quirky paint scheme and a large metal octopus outside and multiple porches. Basically, someone just renovated a house and turned it into a restaurant. I had the BBQ Grilled Chicken sandwich($ 12), which was quite good. Cenote was packed when we visited, so it took a while to get our food. They weren’t doing a great job bussing the tables, so we had to wipe down our own outside. When we were done, we were unclear if we were supposed to clear our plates(we did) or let an employee do it. There was a pile of used plates in a bin next to a garbage can swarming with flies, which is a fun way to end your meal. Cenote draws a crowd, so it’s a little hectic. Probably better enjoyed at a slower time of day…

I came back to try the coffee here, and was just as disappointed as I was with the food. While Cenote is a very cute, Austiny location, with a cute homey feel, and garden-like outdoor and patio seating, their food and drinks are quite underwhelming. The coffee is very average; any standard restaurant or café has equally decent drinks. I don’t think I’d come here specifically craving their food or drink, though I do still consider it a nice place to hang out or study.

Tried this place awhile ago and I quite liked it. The inside décor is super hipstery, but a bit dark on the lighting. That could also be because I went on a rainy day and it looked like they rely on their windows a lot. I got the eggs benedict which was pretty good! I actually really liked it, but it’s one of those dishes where by the time you’re about ¾ done with it, it gets a bit repetitive. So you could say I was a lot happier when I first started eating than at the end. The potatoes that come with it are excellent though, the perfect amount of crispy! I added avocado which costed extra, but it definitely helped with the creaminess of the chipotle hollandaise. Overall, I liked Cenote a good amount. I don’t think it’s super amazing, nothing to rave about, but it’s definitely a decent place with some pretty cute décor.

I wasn’t a huge fan of this place but now that they’ve revamped their menu a bit I feel like I can go here more often. It’s one of my best friend’s favorite places so I’ve dined here a bit more previously than in the past! I’ve taken vegan friends here and picky eaters here and there’s literally something for everyone. A few notes on their new menu: I split their burger once with my friend and it was great!(although a bit hard to eat as it was massive). I’ve also had their mango salad and thought it was pretty good. Then I ordered their arepas and they were pretty good but SUPER salty. Almost so salty it was hard to eat. so definitely the food has been mixed for me. Would try some other things as well. I love that they have a very spacious patio that is great for spring hanging out in Texas as well as working during the day. I love that they have coffee as well as beer and wine. The guy at the register cracked me up in line so that alone is worth coming back for.

Have done breakfast here, have just run in for coffee, have done Happy Hour with wine and snacks here… needless to say, Cenote is a versatile option and it is always delicious. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the food is great… what more do you need?

On the hunt for a juice place, I came across Cenote(they don’t have juice but are located right next to a place that did at one point), and I’m glad our paths crossed. Instead of being healthy and sipping my nutrients through a straw, I instead got to get down with the get down in the form of a torpedo-size bfast taco and iced coffee. The staff was friendly, and my drink and taco came out quickly. The taco was impressive(not so much the tortilla)…it was a big, lumpy football of eggs, cheese, and bacon; greasy and delicious. The space has indoor and outdoor seating. The interior, very café-y; the exterior, very picnic bench-y. Cute all around!

Did you see my photos? Go look at them. We came here because it’s been on my bookmarks for ages and we have fiiiiiinally arrived. The sandwiches. I mean really. For a vegetarian you’re in heaven. They’ve got two veggie options so we went with both. They came out supa dupa fast, big, beautiful, and packed with flavor! They generously fill those big beautiful buns with a ton of veggies and very special sauces. I was a little worried they would taste the same but they were both totally different. The«Veggie Sandwich» was my favorite with massive beets, a big helping of carrots, avo, and sprouts, and chipotle aioli puts it over the edge. The bread was also amazing and crispy on the outside. The«Beet It» Sandwich was filled with spinach, beets, and tomato pesto concoction. Very very good. We will be back.

We came to Cenote for the free cheese board and stayed for the Fried Picante Chicken Mac and cheese. Antonelli’s Cheese was having a free cheese special at participating restaurants around town a few weeks ago and that night one of the specials was at Cenote. I had my eye on Cenote’s breakfast menu for a while, so I figured their dinner entrees must be just as appealing. Cenote looks like a normal coffee shop from the inside. People on their laptops, smell of espresso, etc., but they do have a kitchen and they also serve booze. Luckily we arrived just in time to get a free cheese plate. It had three Antonelli’s cheeses, strawberries in some kind of strawberry sauce, honey, crushed roasted nuts, and bread. Needless to say I ate the entire thing. Boyfriend ordered their Mac and Cheese which had fried chicken and picante in it. It was fantastic. Also, be sure and check out their website, because they have different specials each weekday night. Wednesday is ½ bottles of wine(they’ve got sparkling too). Oh and there’s a really nice outdoor seating space as well.

Cenote was a definite favorite on our recent cross country trip! We went here twice in one day – that’s how much we loved it… The atmosphere was probably the best part of all, even in the rain the surrounding outside space, decks and people were enough to make you want to move in and never ever leave. We got an americano, cold brew and a heavenly brownie. If you’re in the area and you’re looking for a great spot, go here, do not hesitate for a second! Also, pick up a book across the street and then enjoy if with your coffee :)

Popular east Austin café serving good coffee(really!) and a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, and on the weekends Texas breakfast classics. There are Plenty of vegetarian options, but I recommend anything with bacon. The pork belly banh mi is one of my favorite sandwiches: marinated meat on a crunchy bread, with a spicy sauce that adds a fusion Texan flavor, a twist on the ha noi original. Penty of bike parking, a bit harder to find a place for your car on busy weekends.

Such an east Austin, hipster, trendy spot. Good food at fair prices and with healthy quality also. Super insta worthy place, especially on days with nice weather, as the majority of the café is an outdoor patio area. Fish tacos were surprisingly delicious for a café, non mex spot. Excellent flavors and a nice small salad of greens to accompany the dish. Mango fields salad was simple and light, but nothing special. Perfect for if you want a refreshing light meal or snack though. My only drawbacks of cenote would be the lack of parking, lack of availability of some menu items, long line that we encountered, and the long wait– all signs of a popular venue, but we were expecting an in and out, order at the counter and get your food right away type place. So make sure to set aside enough time to enjoy your meal here because it might take a while!
