I came out to Austin a few months ago for a business meeting… Low and behold I have been back so many times since! They have just closed for remodeling, however you need to know; I had the BEST time. I’m vegan, but was looking for food to accommodate my own taste and life choices as well as everyone else in my crew;and this did NOT fail!!! The«vegan bowl of awesome»(from the secret menu :) so ask about it!) stunned me. So beautifully filling and incredible. I will come back when I visit Austin again.

I’m so glad i discovered this little gem right down the street from where i live now. This is place is pretty damN good, i can really see it blowing up and having to wait in long lines down the road, but for now i’m going to milk it while i can. I’ve had the Pork Sammy and the Bowl of Awesome and both are delicious. If you don’t mind getting a little messy i would definitely recommend the Pork Sammy. The pulled pork is well cooked, the cole slaw is sweet, and the plantains just put it over the top. It’s a big sandwich so you’ll definitely be full after it, and when i got it the bread was warm and toasted, so it was great! I got the bowl of awesome with pulled pork, which turned out to be a brilliant idea on my part :) It too has plantains that just blends so well with the other flavors. Can’t go wrong with either. Definitely coming back and would definitely recommend!

Pork Sammy. Seriously one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. And they invited me to play dominoes. Muy cool people. Thanks Charliee

Just tried Charliee’s for the first time, and I LOVED the Pork Sammy. Got a side of the rice and beans, and they were packed with so much flavor. So excited they moved into the Lakeshore Food Park, I’ll be back again!

Got the pork Sammy last night, with tip it was $ 11.50. I have to say I was disappointed because it had potential but really fell short. And that’s a damn expensive sandwich for what I got. The pork was cooked well and tasted delicious, as did the plantains. The problem was the bread. It was old and cold. I mean seriously, if you aren’t using fresh bread, please at least grill it or heat it. I couldn’t even eat the bread(or could my friends who also tried it) so I just ate out the filling. Unfortunately, for a $ 9 sandwich there just wasn’t enough meat inside and I left hungry, unsatisfied, and wanting more. I really like the girl who I think was Charlie And the concept and flavors are there, but please, if you are serving Sammies — use fresh bread! This could have been an awesome meal but it just didn’t hit the mark. I give 3 stars because I think if she works out the few kinks(better/grilled bread, more filling) then I would return.

Come here and get the Nutella Bread Pudding a la mode. It’s SO good we went out of our way to come here again tonight. The gals working there are super nice and working hard and I’m so glad they are! One of the best things I’ve had while visiting Austin. I’ll definitely come back again before heading back home next week!

I keep going back to this great food trailer. I’ve tried everything. Several Pork dishes, the shrimp, the gourmet hot dog, sweet plantains, dessert… it is all amazing. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. And Charliee, she’s way cool.

Now this kind of food truck that I’m talking about! We got a meaty, scrumptious kimchi hot dog and a bag of chips for $ 4. FOURDOLLARS, PEOPLE. I know some food trucks may use expensive ingredients or magic or whatever, but how’s a food truck gonna charge $ 10 per meal when I thought the purpose of a food truck was to provide affordable street food because they have low overhead? I digress. Anyway, go by and check out this new food truck on Rainey St. It’s legit!
