Zut alors! Remy is gone from the parking lot they shared with Whatataco. Their website says they’ve moved to Bee Cave and 360 which pretty much describes where they were so maybe they are in another nearby spot… please update if you find them. I was happy with my one experience at Chez Remy. I had the #7 because I love prosciutto and found it a nice balance of flavors, in contrast to some other reviewers. Would ask for added camembert since he seems to put that on everything if he gets a chance. My last check-in made me eligible for a discount on my next order which I’ll use if I ever find the guy…

Chez Remy is a lovely little food truck. Don’t drive too fast or you’ll pass the entrance! The chef owner is super friendly and helpful. There were so many good choices, I didn’t know what to pick. I ended up getting the #7 since I’m a sucker for olives and prosciutto. The ingredients were so fresh, and the bread was nice a chewy, however the dressing drowned the entire sandwich. There were way too many olives on it too, for my tastes. It ended up being pretty salty. What a shame. I’d come back if I were in the area, but I’d definitely try something else first.

Had the Le Royal. AMAZING. My partner had the Vegetarian and was happy with his as well! I would definitely recommend. Great service, too !

Ooooooh… bon dieu. Just had the Mont Blanc for the third(or fourth?) time and… man, while I just ate a HUGE amount of camembert — I cannot complain even if I have a coronary in a few. It was just sooo perfect. And the other dude is right — the secret is absolutely, positively the amazing vinaigrette or you could come pretty close to assembling this at home, provided you have the cornichons. Just… damn. Mille fois merci to the boyfriend for braving the midday Bee Caves traffic to procure this fattening heavenly lunch for me! Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to try a different sandwich.

More turkey, fresh lettuce, tangy dressing on a fresh croissant– nice job!

Okay so I hate to be «that» kind, but this place is seriously overpriced it is laughable. I was weary of trying this place out as I was a loyal fan of Dock & Roll and for some unknown reason to myself I felt a traitor if I tried, but hey it is right next door to where I work so I had to! Short & sweet, I won’t be back. Four of my co-workers & I went during lunch one day, each trying something different. ALL four of us were not impressed, we all thought the sammies we had were all very uneventful, bland & hoolllleeyyy cow expensive. Not sure why anyone would want to spend $ 10 one ONE sammie, but I did that day with no drink or chips or side, nada just one little sammie that didn’t even fill me up. Yes, the owner had a very cute accent, but my pocket book cannot hang with this one. For now on I will get my sammie at the Jimmy John’s across the street for a heck of a lot more flavor!

Good fast food. Tad bit pricey for a panini though. Buttery, cheesy, crisp and delicious. Wraps are great. Owners are French, who knew. Liked them more when they were downtown. Small menu makes it easier to choose your treat. Food was good, service was great for a truck. I don’t have much to say because they moved north of my feeding grounds.

Tucked away in a food trailer lot off 2244 and 360, is this nice little addition to the Austin culinary scene. I split two sandwiches with my dining companion, the #5 Le Casse Croute, and the #8 Le Royal. The French owner/chef was very accommodating and friendly, he brought our sandwiches out to the picnic tables, it was not busy, and brought along a squeeze bottle with additional vinaigrette for us to use on our sandwiches. I have mixed feelings about Chez Remy, first the sandwiches were very good, but also quite expensive. The baguette, vinaigrette, cheeses, and produce were nice and fresh, however the roast beef on the #8 seemed past it’s prime. My favorite was the #5 and I would definitely return, however I would try other places first. Just FYI during my visit Whatataco and Hey Cupcake were sharing the space, the parking is definitely limited.

Came here on a visit to Austin from California. The sandwiches here were awesome. Everything was fresh from the bread to the meat and the wonderful sauce that accompanies the sandwich. Mmmm… yum!!! I wish there were places like this in California The service was wonderful. The french man and the asian lady were very kind, warm and very attentive =) Food was just awesome. Everyone should come here and eat! The food is to die for! I can’t wait to visit Austin again and eat here.

I am pretty sure that I have absolutely no idea what anyone else is talking about here. Last week after reading my good friend Veek’s Review of the Day of this fine establishment, I found myself bravely and mysteriously driving in the middle of 6 lanes of traffic on Bee Caves just west of 360 and ascending a dirt parking lot with not many parking spots and not many picnic tables. I liked it already. A French accent goes a LONG way with me so I felt charmed into not noticing that I was getting a sandwich and a water for $ 10.50. No chips. No fruit. No FRENCH fries. How did I like my #6 Mont Blanc? I liked it. The good: 1. The French guy. 2. The very fresh croissant. 3. The French accent. 4. The special sauce, the hunk of camembert. 5. The French sweetness. 6. The cornichons. The bad: 1. One piece of day old deli turkey. 2. The parking access if you are driving the wrong direction at lunch rush hour. 3. The value… standard 200% markup is likely blown out of the water here. 4. The sandwich is not filling, and at $ 8.75 for just the sandwich, I was glad I had an apple in the car. 5. Eating here will make you feel totally guilty if you love French people because you know deep down you just ate a pretty good little sandwich for double what it would cost anywhere else and then the sweet French guy asked you if you liked it and you said yes because you did like it but then you wrote a 2 star review saying that yes, you did like it but at maybe $ 5 something not $ 8 something and you will likely never return to say this to his face because you secretly love French people and french accents and you have even spent time in their hometown of Lyon, but you feel majorly ripped off. 6. I feel guilty. And hungry.

Super simple sandwiches with quality ingredients. Very french… very tasty. Only complaints would be that he seems to run out of croissants everyday. Maybe order more? Also, the wait was pretty long considering the same man taking our orders was also making the sandwiches. Either way, I would absolutely recommend stopping by here during lunch.

Super tasty sandwiches! The bread, cheese, and meats are very delicious. I had it for lunch but dinner would be just as good.

Delicious. Worth every penny. This place doesn’t even compare to regular sandwich places(i.e. Subway). Ingredients are fresh; service is fantastic. If I could eat here everyday — I would.

I would like to start with a food-related observation/epiphany that has been hard on my heart for a bit. When you are at home, there is a phenomenon that you can never achieve: the taste and experience you get when you eat out. Why? Because at home, you are too scared to use excessive amounts of diet-wrenching ingredients. Why does that steak at Perry’s taste so good? Fat-dense beef, and globules of butter. Actually, globules are small, by definition… but it sounds gross, huh? Let us apply that example to this eatery. You pay the«grubbin’» premium here and still feel like you are tasting a ham and cheese sandwich that could be crafted at home… with excessive amounts of fat, albeit good fat, i.e. Camembert. I headed over for a bite to eat – does that sound French? – and I thought the prices were a bit steep. The sandwiches are all pretty standard, and most contain no more than 3 – 4 ingredients. Simplicity is key at this no-frills French truck. I was very happy with the guy cookin’ up my grub because he was excited about my modified croque monsieur, which actually should speak about my mediocre rating, as I designed the sandwich myself. He said«I have never done this, but it looks great!» That previous line was stated in a French accent, of course. GREAT service here! I am sticking by my judgment because my non-traditional ingredients did not detract from the sandwich; I just thought my CM was not perfectly executed. In fact, before I wrote a bunch of hogwash, I did some research. «Croque» means to crunch, and my white bread was soft. I did like the abundance of Camembert he added. The $ 1.50 upcharge was so worth it. Probably 6 slices on my sandwich, sitting atop my sandwich as well as inside it. You can tell that the quality of ingredients are not quite agreeably with the pricing. Let us derive a food cost price. Camembert-$ 1, Swiss-$ 0.75, Ham-$ 0.50, Bread(Ms. Baird’s-like, very Texas. Nice.)-$ 0.10. Total cost? $ 2.35. Sandwich? $ 7.25. Now, it is not really so much about the cost as it is the preparation and eating-out factor. Refer to top of review for more commentary. So, I am posting the first 3; will most likely get some tongue. Merci!

This place is nothing short of amazing! How often can you go on a drunk reverie and expect darn good authentic French food a few steps away? So, si, oui, it’s a trailer. Mais non, non it’s not fast food! It’s awesome sandwiches a few steps away. Having grown up with this food, I can guarantee it’s authentic and tasty. Please or s’il vous plait, try them out — you’ll love the food and the amazing people who make sure you are satisfied with it. Merci to the Chefs — and believe me; you can’t order and walk away hungry from here !!!

Can you say ooh la la? I had the Mont Blanc a few weeks ago — and I’ve dreamed about it ever since — it has camembert after all — the stuff dreams are made of. I was so glad to see it on my Groupon use now thingy — I purchased and ran right over, it is ce magnifique(I have no idea if that’s spelled right, but you know, it’s magnificent!). Everything is so fresh — truly, you can practically taste the French countryside. And the turkey — delish! It’s also quite fresh — and REAL meat, not that weird shiny meat some sandwich shops use. It’s a not miss for sure… I did take a star off, because I’ve gone by several times and they were not open — although, it may just be the one darling Frenchman that works there — so that makes sense. Did I mention the camembert?

definitely my best food truck experience so far. deliciously fresh french bread cradling perfectly ripe camembert, saucisson, cornichons, and lettuce… all made to order… out of a trailer. in a parking lot! and yet i am whisked back to the little bistros we fell in love with in paris, especially if i close my eyes and just listen to my server’s lovely accent. the accent alone puts chez remy a notch above any other food trailer. a toute à l’heure!

«No, Todd. NO! We are not going to that food truck. Are you trying to make me fat?» «Wow. That’s a lot of brie. You’re on your own on this one, and WTF?! Are you adding the house made mayonnaise the French guy insisted we try?» «Nope. Not taking a bite. F. You. Not taking a bite.» «Okay, one bite. That does look pretty good. I mean, it’s like a freaking BRICK of brie on there, but it still looks pretty tasty and I can’t pass up what appears to be house made bread-« “No, Todd. You cannot have your sandwich back. ITISMINE! NO! Stop! I’m finishing this! Get your own… Again. Stop it! It’s my sandwich now, MWAHAHAHAHAHA! The sandwich is mine! Get another!» «-For us both.» (a monologue)

Sounds fancy, tastes great! The trailer is located across from Frank and Ten Oaks on Colorado. Hungry for some grub after some drinking across the street, we picked up the Le Parrain(fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, prociutto) and the Le Royal(turkey, ham, roast beef, and cornichons). The cornichons added great texture and acid to an otherwise common sandwich. Both sandwiches were on a toasted baguette with lettuce and served with a Dijon vinaigrette. The price stunned me a bit(~$ 10 per sandwich out of a trailer). However, the sandwiches are foot longs and generously filled with high quality meats and cheeses. Get one to share. They taste great, but won’t keep.

This is trailer that is right across from Franks on Colorado. They have some pretty damn great sandwiches and a pretty extensive menu which includes salads and even boiled eggs. I know, right? Really great for lunch. Anything with tiny pickles and croissants is a win in my book.
