Chili’s Grill & Bar

As one of our favorite Chili’s guests, we wanted to make sure you knew that our Brodie Oaks location at 4236 S. Lamar closed yesterday. But all of the Team Members at our Stassey location are excited to meet you and welcome you anytime for your favorite food, great service and everything else you’ve come to expect from Chili’s.

I see I’m going to have to downgrade this place to 3 stars.
I got excited when I saw their new menu, so I didn’t hesitate to order the soft pretzel appetizer and the guacamole burger.
The soft pretzels dipped in the cheese sauce were delicious. They had just the right amount of salt and chewy texture to make my taste buds sing.
And then comes Grease Galore.
The guacamole burger was 80% peppers, 15% meat, and a skimpy 5% of guacamole and the rest of the greasy ingredients. It was a major disappointment since it oozed grease and threatened to crumble like the French under Hitler. The excess of peppers and the miniscule trace of guacamole should have this burger be renamed to the Pepper Burger, since that is all I could taste.
Not impressed.

We had a gift card to use so we came here for lunch. We have been here before but not in awhile. We decided to sit in the bar since you tend to get better service, and get to watch the game on the TV. The menu like any Chili’s is huge and also wanted to get a drink. The drink menu is not small either with many choices for a margarita. I selected one and ordered a batch of sweet potato fries. The fries tasted good but my margarita was different where it tasted creamy. Later in the day it gave me a nasty headache.
I eventually order some quesadillas and snacked on those fries. The food was good in consistent of this place. They were a bit greasy but not too bad. The bartender was very helpful and keeping us happy. So next time I will avoid the mix drinks and stick with beer.

Chili’s baby back ribs, Chili’s baby back ribs… Barbeque sauce… Gotta love that catchy Jingle.
Any-​who back to the point sorry my ADD get’s the best of me sometimes. What was I saying? Oh yea.
I love their strawberry margaritas! They even give you colored sugar on the rim. I know it’s bad but, It’s really good too! They give you a nice tall glass as well not a skimpy little margarita. Their burgers are my favorite! I always get the apple-​wood bacon burger with avocado. It’s a HUGE burger believe me and packed with flavor. They have some awesome fries to complement the burger. It’s a decent price too so you don’t hurt your wallet for a hefty serving.
They have a 2 for $ 20 special which included an appetizer, two entrée’s, and drink. Again a good deal for the wallet. Their ribs are very tasty and have some meat on them worth the price in my opinion.
I have also tried their chicken fried steak. Again a good serving so you always have a doogie bag to take home unless you really came hungry. Their chicken fried steak comes with your choice of sides. I prefer the corn and the mashed potatoes with mine.
Never a bad experience at Chili’s they are always good on my wallet even with the alcohol beverages.

The food was standard Chili’s, but the service was lazy and impatient. Our waiter got multiple items in our order wrong and seemed annoyed when we sent them back. Then they still ended up on the bill. We were able to work it out eventually, but it was a lot of hassle and extra time involved.

The new menu is awesome. I had the new shrimp taco’s and it was the best meal I have had here by far. If the price was closer to Cheddar’s I would have given 5 stars for sure. Solid 4 stars.

Lunch @ Chili’s twice this week. Salads have really declined – cheapened the ingredients. They have an online rating program that ask’s a lot of sketchy questions, including wanting your cellphone #.
Not a good experience. There’s plenty of other options in Austin.

I“ve had bad experiences with Chili’s before, but I really like this one in particular.
My boyfriend and I went for a casual dinner. I ordered the salad w/​quesadillas and he ordered the fried shrimps.
The salad looked suspicious so I asked our waitress if it was old and she said she would ask the manager.
A few minutes later, the manger came to apologize and gave me the better version of the salad w/​hot quesadillas and fresh lettuce.
Every time I go there, they have great service and great food. Even if the food was not so great, they remade it for us, so you can’t go wrong!
I don’t usually enjoy chain stores, but surprisingly this place is great!

There is nothing nice I can say about Chili’s. So, instead, here are my top three complaints:
1) The salsa is so mild as to be bland. It actually tastes like tomato sauce.
2) They showcase grotesque fusion food that combines the worst of two distinct foodstuffs: buffalo chicken fajitas, tex-​mex eggrolls, and other sins against nature await.
3) The food is of a general low quality, and tastes like it came right from the freezer.

I hate to say it, but I actually like this place. I’m not a big «chain» fan, but this is close to my house, has good food for the price. Typically the service is good, the food is hot and the servers are nice. I have been in there when this was not the case, but more often than not they are good. They are running burger specials right now that are good. Much better than those $ 10 ones (with no fries) at places that just love themselves.
The parking is ample and it typically isn’t too busy. Probably because we don’t go right at noon or at 6pm. It’s worth a go!

I have been going to chil’s for a very long time, and as most chains, expected the same for all. However this location is lacking alot! I walked in and it was pretty empty for 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. I waited and waited and finally was seated after about 4 minutes and multiple people walking past me. I was sat and recieved my diet coke very quickly, but then waited about 7 minutes to get my order taken, and was simple, 3 burgers, and chips and salsa. The tables around us were served their appetizers and all and we still were waiting for our chips. Another server saw us looking around and asked if we needed something, and gladly picked up our chips, really not that hard, right? Our server came back and apologized and removed it from our bill. The entrees came out, and we needed ranch dressing, that took another 5 minutes, and it was requested with the order originally. When done, we had to look for our server to request our bill. I do not think I would be coming back to this location. Food was great, service not so.

So, I love this Chilis. Its close to my apartment and the service is FANTASTIC! Even when there has been a wait I have never felt rushed or ill-​taken care of. If you’re in the mood for some classic Chilis grub, definitely choose Brodie Oaks!

I have been going to this Chili’s for the better part of a decade. The food has always been great, the servers a usually a good bunch of college kids. Two days ago I had the absolute most awesome waiting experience ever there.
This guy was on top of his game. He advised us what was new, what he thought was a good deal and his personal opinion on his dining experience there. And he did it in such a way that wasn’t a drag or annoying. My woman and I never had to ask for refills because he would swoop in like an eagle and snatch up the half filled /​empty glass and at the same time replacing it with a full one. When he was not waiting on us, he was providing the same level of service to the rest of the folks seated in his area.
When it came time to leave, he packed up our leftovers and offered to get us drinks for the road. That dude got himself a $ 10 tip on a $ 25 meal.
