Church’s Chicken

Where frying chicken is more complicated than building a rocket ship. Had to wait 45 minutes for my spicy chicken, smh

I went in at lunchtime. I was 5^th in line and the same person was at the counter for 5 minutes. I couldn’t believe how bad the wait was. But the next person zipped through, then one took 2 minutes, then the one before, and I, and the one after zipped through. When I got to the counter I was amazed at how they were hustling and very friendly too. I’d say 3.5 but a tad closer to 3 than 4.

So, this location is less than a block away from me so it’s very hard to stay away. I’ve got to say they are not the friendliest bunch of people. But, the food is always good and the kitchen always looks very clean. You’ve got to appreciate that. However, the woman who took my order today (I believe her name was Celia) was just plain rude. They never look very happy to see any of their customers. Oh well. At least the food is tasty!

Went to this location yesterday and they completely messed my order up and I didn’t realize it till I got to work. I called the store and talked to someone and they took my name and said that I could come in any time and they would make it right. So I go in there today and take my receipt and explain what happened and gave my name. The «shift leader» on duty acted like I was trying to steal from them and was very unpleasant. She refused to listen to me till one of the workers behind her piped up that she remembered my call and that the manager had said to make it right. She then got a disgusted look on her face and said «well I guess you can take care of him then» and walked away. Then I tried to order a ½ gallon of unsweetened tea, and was told the ½ gallons are only of sweet tea. I asked if I could jut get an empty ½ gallon container and full it up myself, and the «shift leader» said very sarcastically from behind the person helping me «it ain’t going to be cold» With service like this I don’t see how this place stays open. I wish I could give less than one star, because this place doesn’t even deserve that!

Funny tasting fried chicken at this location and have turned around when the smell of burned oil hits my nose. Fortunately these things didnt appear when I picked up an order to take to friends in a vigil at Dell children’s hospital close by.

Bad … bad … bad. Went through the drive through at about 2:15 pm. Waited 20 minutes, chicken came out and was so greasy it slimed it’s way out of the corner of the box. Biscuit was soggy … yech. Top it off, the chicken was fried in oil that had to be as old as I am. That’s all I could taste, old grease. Sorry but you guys need to change out your oil a little more often.

I have been to this Church’s twice and both times were bad experiences. This Church’s location is Ghetto! The first time I went I actually walked in to order on my lunch hour and it took AT LEAST 15 minutes for a 3 piece order of boneless hot wings. While I was waiting for my order I was harassed by some dude hanging there that wanted to use my cell phone because his was «out of minutes.» Then two thug-​looking dudes walk into the place with open containers of alcohol, management seemed to not even care. At that point my order was ready and I left.
Well, lo and behold I had another craving for hot wings a few weeks later and this Church’s is the closest one to my workplace, so this time I decide to go through the drive thru. BAD DECISION. It took 30 minutes to get through the drive thru, during this time frame, I witnessed a drug transaction in the parking lot, when I finally got up to the window where you pickup your order I was told they were OUT of sweet tea and making more (they had me waiting 30 minutes and still didn’t have my tea ready), I told them never mind on the tea, if that’s not bad enough, I get back to work to FINALLY eat my wings and the wings had BBQ SAUCE on them when I had clearly ordered HOT WINGS!!!
I will NEVER go back to this Church’s location no matter HOW much I want hot wings!

This is the best Church’s in town. The chicken is always the freshest, the spicy is always the spiciest and the service is always fast a friendly. I go by here at least twice a week and the staff is incredible. They even remember what I order.
