I had a smooth easy experience here at the inspection portion of their business. I came in to get an inspection on a vehicle I had just purchased and knew there would be something wrong since my check engine light was on. They kindly explained to me that my car could not pass with the engine light on but they did give me a summary of what was wrong so I could find a way to fix it. When I was able to get car fixed it was still within my grace period so they were able to fix it for FREE! with no problem. I had my receipt and paper work so I was in and out of there in 30 minutes.

Last year I took my ’92 Volvo here for an inspection. Although my car is in tip-​top shape, I am often told by inspectors that some really random thing needs to be fixed or it won’t pass inspection and that they, of course, would be happy to fix said random item for an exorbitant fee. I think this mostly has to do with the fact that I am a woman and therefore completely clueless about cars and therefore easy prey.
Not at Cornelio’s. The young man working was very polite and I was quickly on my way without any faux issues that had to be fixed before he’d give me my sticker.
Unfortunately, I took it back today to get it inspected and the woman working said she couldn’t inspect Volvos older than ’96 anymore because of some transmission something or other. Bummer! If you happen to have a less ancient vehicle that needs an easy inspection, go to Cornelio’s.
