My review is *NOT* fake.
After my first one star review of your establishment, a year later I noticed that you got a second Unilocal account and thus my review was not visible to Unilocalers anymore. (The locations look the same to me.) I was annoyed to see my review wasn’t there anymore on your second Unilocal account, so I added my review to your second account.
I am telling the truth when I say that I was seen in a room with no exam table (who cares, really, but it is the truth. Maybe it was because you had opened recently when I was there.)
Also, a friend of mine went to you guys and stopped going as well because she felt the prices were too high.
I am personally very offended by extortionately-​priced vets, particularly in combination with my other complaints about your business. (While the staff was nice, as well they should be for these prices.) This is my reason for persisting in my review; I want my perspective to be seen in case someone needs it to make a decision. I am not «bullying» you. I am glad and relieved to see that Unilocal does not remove legitimate negative reviews, because I trust Unilocal.
I have no desire to send you my bill for a refund. I don’t want confrontation with you and I prefer my anonymity. I think it is very important people complain when they feel a business overcharges, seems to intentionally up-​sell on medical care when people are concerned about their animals and are somewhat sitting ducks, etc.; important so that others will see there are alternatives and can be forewarned. This is what makes Unilocal great.

Our little Leo was here after some seizure episodes and we got a university education. Dr Jamie patiently explained everything on the whiteboard and soothed our nerves.
The staff was awesome as well even when Leo eased himself on the floor three times within the hour.

This place is amazing – I had established a relationship with them on a Friday while they looked over my recent cat adoption and was already seriously into this place. Their techs & front staff are beyond welcoming and loving – shout out to Lindsey for loving so hard on my tabby! Then on Monday, when my dog had an argument with a friend (NOT the new cat!), I called them up and they managed to find time on their schedule that day to see a poor injured friend.
When I got there, they immediately took us back and made sure we were as comfortable as he could be. Dr Jaime was gentle yet thorough, and the techs made sure I understood the game plan (health-​wise AND financially) before moving forward with anything! They didn’t judge me for any decisions I had to make, and when things got rough for my baby (a LOT of pain), they were all super loving to both him and myself.
It’s so great to find a place willing to be emotionally supportive as well as health-​minded. You guys were so great, and my dog’s well on his way to total recovery. I cannot express my thanks for helping me through a sad and scary day.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a vet. The staff were very welcoming and offered water and espresso. I felt like I was walking into a cozy coffee shop or my friend’s living room. It was creatively decorated and had very peaceful vibes. My cat is petrified of dogs, so they made accommodations to meet her need by closing a curtain to outside of the room, as there were dogs there. The staff were very helpful in answering my questions and were very professional and knowledgeable, while still being laid back. I really appreciate Corner Vet’s value of a holistic approach to health and wellness of animals. I never felt pressured to chose a specific medication or go one standard course of treatment. The doctor really was present and actively listened during our time together and didn’t rush me (as I’ve had such experiences at other vets). Since I adopted my cat, I had %50 off my initial visit. I’m so happy to have found such a great place to bring my babes. I would recommend this place to all of my friends! I’ll definitely be returning.

The staff is friendly, loving and knowledgable and their facilities are immaculate. We adore Jeanette almost as much as our dog does. We are so lucky to have a place like this within walking distance of our home!

I love the fact that there is finally a veterinary clinic on the Central East Side and I’m super excited that it is the best vet that I’ve ever been to!
The décor is artsy in fact they hired a few local artists to do the art on the outside of the building. The staff is laid back, friendly and very competent. The doctors don’t try to sell you anything, tell you need unnecessary shots or procedures and look at things holistically.
Prices are reasonable.

I moved to Austin early this year, and I had to find a vet pretty quickly because my dog has epilepsy and is on daily meds.
I found Corner Vet on Unilocal and the reviews are all true! The staff really makes me feel like they care about and love my dog, and they offer natural healing advice, but don’t make me feel judged when I opt for the drugs or chemical treatments, either.
For a regular visit, they are about the same price as other vets around town. The only time I noticed they were more expensive was when my dog had to get a tooth extracted — so I took her somewhere else because I couldn’t afford what they offered. Still, they will definitely remain my regular vet.

My husband and I just moved from Austin to Philly, and Nick and Corner Vet were on our list of «sad to leave behind.»
Nick and the Corner Vet staff took care of our dog and 2 cats since before the brick and mortar practice opened, and I was always impressed with the care our little guys received.
Nick obviously really enjoyed being around our pets – and they him (which was especially surprising for our oldest cat, who’s kind of a dick). He was also good about providing us with plenty of options and info that was comprehensible to non-​vet humans. And the thing that really sets this practice apart to me is the accessibility. We had a standing invitation to contact them any time with any question, big or small.
Corner Vet, we’ll miss you! Thanks for setting the bar so high for our future veterinary encounters. :)

This is my vet! I am hesitant to share but for the sake of honesty… they are flipping great. The service is impeccable. I have two blue Pitts and both are a handful, sweet but large babies with sensitive skin and overly friendly attitudes. They don’t mind at all in this place. They are pricey, no getting around it. But I have never trusted someone more with my family and that my friends is a huge statement.

I moved to Austin about 2 months ago and came across Corner Vet while eating brunch at Counter Culture. I have 2 dogs and a cat so I am a regular at the vet. I have been totally blown away by the quality of service! I have had nothing but great experiences with the support staff and the doctors– everyone is very friendly and warm. Dr Carter has been our primary vet– she has been wonderful– very personable and knowledgeable. Jordan and Kelly have been the techs I have worked with– both are fabulous! I think one of my dogs has actually fallen totally in love with Kelly, which is high praise from him ;)!! I have worked with vet staff in 4 different cities since adopting my animals and none have come close. I love that Corner Vet specifically brings a holistic approach to treatment– the access to acupuncture, organic nutrition and behavioral care is nice. The scheduling is very easy and they offer payment plans if you can’t afford the entire cost upfront, which is awesome for a poor grad student like me!

I never actually visited this vet myself but my husband has and based on his liking that this vet is amazing. Plus reading other Unilocalers reviews I know for certain that my fur baby is well taken care of. My dog pepper was seen by one of the drs upon first moving to Austin since we relocated from seattle, and we are nothing but pleased. They got her set up on the heartworm prevention/​flee pill since heartworm wasn’t an issue in WA, and so far so good. She’s healthy, loved, and has a vet to call her hospital if need be. Thanks for the care you give everyone’s fur babies as well as the coffee and drinks you provide for dog owners!

This review is so, so long overdue, and for that Nick, I apologize.
I am, what you may call, an «overbearing» Mom. Before we welcomed our two puppies home, I interviewed vets throughout Austin, and Dr. Vaughan and Corner Vet came highly recommended. When I called to schedule my «interview», the person on the phone was incredibly accommodating and didn’t think I was a complete psycho. When I met with Nick (Dr. Vaughan) I was blown away. He sat and chatted with me for over an hour (for free no less) and helped me understand what to expect, their holistic view on care for new puppies, how they really strive to make it a family environment and so much more. I was so incredibly impressed that I knew I had to bring our puppies here.
In the year now that we have had Lucas and Colbie, the whole Corner Vet family has come to become such an important part of their lives and development. Most importantly, our dogs are NEVER afraid of going to the vet, because they get so much love and attention from everyone (literally — every single person). As with all puppies, we had our bouts with stomach worms and chewed up tennis balls, drinking lake water, and the like. Nick and team (big shout out to Jeannette, Gemma, Jordan and Alison as well) took care of them every time. They even let Lucas hang out all day with them so someone could keep an eye on him when he had a respiratory infection. I swear the dog didn’t want to leave when I came to pick him up. The whole team at Corner Vet knows our phone numbers when they come through on caller ID, and answer with a cheery hello every single time (which is astonishing considering how often I call).
I have since moved to Boston, and brought Lucas with me. While his new vet is great, I confess that I have, and probably still will, call Corner Vet for help and advice. They truly are a fantastic, knowledgeable, caring and all around AWESOME group of people.

I took my puppy, Prince, to Corner Vet last Saturday– and OH MY GOSH.
First off, their computer systems were down and instead of canceling or rescheduling, the staff took my baby in without the blink of an eye. We agreed that we were going to work on the «honors system» and that they’d follow up with me once their systems were back online for payment.
Secondly, my poor puppy was having bladder issues, which turned out to be a case of anxiety. Perhaps my favorite part of this was the holistic approach they took to resolve my Prince’s issue. They prescribed him two natural products (L-​Theanine and Zylkene? I think?) for him to take daily and so far, he’s acting 100% better. I can’t thank them enough. I know it’s a little hippie-​ish of me, but I’m all about holistic remedies over pharma options, especially when it comes to the health of my child.
Also noteworthy: they didn’t PUSH products on me. They mentioned a couple of additional products I could buy that they said would really help improve Prince’s situation, but they didn’t make me feel like a bad mother or anything when I passed. I do plan on returning for the supplemental products, but at the moment it wasn’t something I could really do.
Another thing that I loved: that morning, my boyfriend’s wolf/​German Shepard tore her leg open and I asked if they could provide me with a cone, just to keep her from biting it or further injuring herself (she’s 10 months old and perhaps FULL wild animal.) No hesitation– the woman working the front desk came right out with a cone. I don’t know if this is standard practice, but I was super thankful they were willing to do that for me, especially as a non-​established customer, without having to actually see/​examine the puppy first.

I rescued and took in a mama dog that was severely dehydrated and malnourished that had wandered onto our land… who had also obviously been very badly abused. I was determined to see her not only survive, but thrive.
She also happened to be pregnant, having 8 puppies under the stairs, with 7 surviving.
I was at a loss at what to do to ensure she and her pups were all ok…
I surfed the mighty pages of Unilocal reviews, looking to my fellow Austinites for wise words.
I was led, after many days of being denied care by several of the low cost vets around Austin, to the wonderful world that is Corner Vet.
Now, Lily (that’s the lovely lady’s name with white fur and lots o’ babies roaming about) is absolutely terrified of everything… including riding in the car. The drive was treacherous, with this giant husky/​German Shepard crawling from the back seat and trying desperately to get under my feet. *I’d like to add here to the car I almost hit because of this: I am SO sorry!
We get to Corner Vet and Lily darts from the car, dragging me into a cactus OUCH! Meanwhile, I grab a Costco bag o’ puppies from my car and we proceed in, thorns, terrified dog and whining pups. We are immediately greeted by two lovely ladies, offering aid, water and speaking soft words to Lily while I remove thorns from my hands, arms, legs and feet.
Lots of ooo’s and giggles over the puppies and we are taken to a room to let the puppies out onto a soft as rabbit fur pink blanket as Lily is weighed.
After being weighed, Lily and I hang out in the room. Isaac, vet tech and Patron Saint of the puppies comes in the room and makes me feel like, no matter what, Lily and these babies are going to be just fine.
We talk at length and he shares wisdom, advice and a calm that made me feel like everything truly was going to be alright.
Doc then enters… and he’s THE nicest guy. Truly kind and respects what I am doing, very encouraging. (I should add here that the two other «discount» or «free» vets I had called merely told me I should surrender Lily and her pups over to the animal shelter… Uhhh nope)
Examines and discusses options with me for everyone. It was such a great conversation. Not once did I feel «talked down to» as I have with other vets in Austin, nor did I feel like I was being rushed in and out.
We have had to take Lily just today as she has mastitis. They were completely willing to do all they could to work with me on my budget with Lily and the pups, while also making sure that we do what is best for her to be healthy.
I LOVE these people.

I’m not sure who loves this place more, my dog «Mostly,» or me!
We’ve been to ACV about three times now and we live this place for sure. The staff is super friendly and everyone remembers us when we arrive. They add a very personal touch to the care they give and genuinely care about your animal/​pet/​family member.
Their office space keeps it real, ATX style with a very cool layout. I love the space. Plus, I’m offered espresso every time I come, and of course water for my little girl :)
I can’t imagine taking my puppy anywhere else. We have several vets between ACV and our house but we’ll make the drive to keep seeing the Doctors, VTechs and Staff here!

This review is looooooong overdue, but well-​deserved.
At the beginning of the year, I adopted a dog from a local rescue that had just had a semi-​serious accident leaving him with some damage to his rib cage, deep lacerations to his chest and leg, as well as several abrasions on his muzzle. Although he was seen by another vet before I adopted him, his open wounds and lack of a post-​surgical treatment plan had me pretty concerned.
After reading through several Unilocal reviews, I finally decided on ACV and I am so glad that I did. Scheduling with them was super easy, even despite the fact that I e-​mailed them with my appointment request. I really appreciate a business that answers their e-​mails as the nature of my job requires me to be tied up on the phone most of the day. Gemma, one of the receptionists, is always quick to respond to me about setting up appointments or any requests for records.
On our first visit, we saw Dr. Wilson and she helped me to get a better handle on the best way to care for Benny. I tend to lean more towards alternative therapies and she took that into consideration when developing a treatment plan, but also took the time to explain to me why we had to take a more traditional plan of action (when necessary). Benny was due for shots, but we decided to do those at his follow up visit since his immune system was already compromised. On the second visit, we saw Dr. Vaughan who turns out to be from my neck of the woods: Little Rock, Arkansas! I really appreciated his genial nature and his obvious love for both his job and his business.
Every appointment we have had here has run so smoothly and we have been well cared for by friendly people that are passionate about what they do. Chea, Daniela, and Jordan have all been amazing techs to work with — they are just as happy to give my little ham some love + affection as I am!
Give this team the opportunity to exceed your expectations — you will not regret it.

Really friendly staff and Drs. My dog and cat were both very relaxed here. My dog likes that the doors to the exam room are glass, so she can watch what’s happening elsewhere in the building while we wait. We’ve been here twice now, and we’ll keep going! Great vet clinic!

You are dumb if you don’t take your pet to the corner vet.
These people know their shit, have excellent bedside manner, and are all around awesome humans born with a gift to care for animals.
The doctors kick ass, the staff kicks ass.

I had planned to visit Corner Vet in April for my dog’s annual check-​up, but as it would be my Great Dane decided to slice her foot open on some mysterious backyard object and off to the vet we went!
I called and left a voicemail for them at 7pm on Thursday night asking if we could be squeezed in the next morning. I got a call from them at 8am Friday morning saying to bring her on in.
The office itself is super nice with off-​street parking on the side. Everyone was really understanding and accommodating of my 110lb, super anxious dog (and owner!). I’ve never been to a vet that offered me espresso in the morning! I filled out a quick drop-​off form, met briefly with the vet tech about what had happened, then took off with a promise that they would call as soon as the vet looked at her.
Maybe 15 minutes later after I pulled into my driveway they called and said fortunately she wasn’t going to need stitches and that I could come back and get her. Turned around, headed back — thankfully I live nearby! Picked up my girl who they had decorated with a pink bandana and matching pink boo-​boo wrap. I bought a package of treats for her — one of many great products they have for sale, including Orijen dog food (THE BEST STUFF).
Everyone there, including the receptionist, was super knowledgeable and just so engaging. I’ve been to fine vets that were very breezy and nonchalant — not these guys. They act like they really care. Prices were very reasonable and they e-​mailed me a detailed bill which I love. I had them go ahead and get all the records from my old, far away vet so I can bring my dog back whenever and get her heart worm/​flea preventative there.
Awesome, awesome, awesome!

We drove by this place and were immediately sucked in. It just looked cute, what can I say? (I like my vets like my restaurants; I’m a sucker for ambience.) Our cats were behind on some things, and one has recently caught the «goopy eye,» so we decided to further investigate.
Reviews were great. The place had a sliding scale, and they responded to a pesky email of mine politely, and enthusiastically (and in a timely manner!!). SOLD.
My bf took Henry and Rufus in today and came back aglow. The people were nice, the place was super hip, and the doc explained things very scientifically, yet easy to understand. We have a new vet on the east side.
