I think something must have been in retrograde because after I found the perfect fixture, things went awry. The LED bulbs were not included when I picked up my order, as the employee had indicated. The next day, I went back and was given the wrong bulbs. And, it was extremely frustrating when I was not allowed to return the wrong bulbs as the receipt was under my name but had an incorrect address. (See what I mean???)
Finally, it all worked out but not without three trips back to remedy the issue. Our new fixtures look fabulous and I will return to shop here when ever in need but I’ll check the Mayan calendar, astrology report and Aunt Louise’s crystal ball before going.

If you have any lighting related repairs needs, this is the best place in town. A quick note, for those who are confused as I was, this location sells the parts and provide repair services while the «showroom» is right across the street.
I was trying to replace the base of a ceiling fan in my new house but wasn’t able to find the right parts anywhere. I went to all the big box stores and they said that the ceiling fan is too old (7 years) and they don’t carry the parts anymore. I contacted some electrician as well and they said it might be easier to just replace the entire ceiling fan, which would have cost me a few hundred dollars for the unit and installation. However, one thing they all said is to go check out D&W Lighting as a last resort. Their tone was like «if they don’t have it, then you’re out of luck».
And lo and behold, I dropped by the place one afternoon and they had exactly what I needed!!! For a mere $ 12, I replaced the base myself and now we have light in our living room again! Again, if you need parts, come here.

It’s wonderful to have a lamp-​specific shop in town, because let’s face it – finding a «lamp specialist» is difficult pretty much anywhere.
My vintage lamps were due for new 20″ lampshades, and hey guess what: you’re not going to find that at Target. After a brief look around here and there, I went into D&W, old shade in hand. The lady who helped me (the day-​time lady on Thursday) was fantastic. She worked with me to find the ideal replacement, and rather than simply ooo-​ing and aah-​ing over every color hoping I’d like one of them, she gave honest opinions on why some shades might not work too well, without the apparent aim of selling me the most expensive options available.
When it came time to price out a custom shade, she presented options that would bring the price down, and even extended a 15% discount! After all the time she spent with me, I felt so ingratiated for her help and felt like she really cared about my experience. In total, my huge 20″ tall x 18″ diameter shades cost about $ 85 apiece. A little pricier than I may have hoped, but they’re custom and that size is impossible to find anywhere else. My deposit for the two was $ 45.
I really hope the weekday lady was on commission, though, because when I picked up my shades 3 weeks later, the older Saturday afternoon lady was curt with me, and seemed to want to usher me right out of the shop, even though it was well before closing time and I had just dropped nearly $ 200 in that store. Had it not been for her attitude, this would have been a 5-​star experience.
