Okay so where do I start. Dave and Busters Austin, Tx– The replacement card for me because it wasn’t reading correctly, and I did realize that every time I spent money I would never get reward points. I brought it up to him and they said I had to register the card I then tried to register that card and it would not register. After spending SOMUCHMONEYTHERE, I asked a kid at the front desk to get me a new card and transfer everything over to the new card. I paid for the NEWCARD and that card will not register and then ask him to give me ANOTHERNEWCARD. HEDIDJUSTTHATAND I got it to register with my email. But come to find out later on by 65,000 points that has been saving up for the past 5 years«WE’RENOT» loaded up on the new card. It was all gone everything I worked for. All the money I spent on this place and all my points were gone. I brought it up to the kid and he could not find my old card. I believe somebody owes me something!!!(Calling D&B owners). My mom has worked for Dave and Busters in Dallas Texas for over 20 years, so for this to happen it feels like my D&B family has stabbed me in the back. Also D&B in Frisco Tx — My mothers Philly cheese steak sandwich came out room temperature, so I had it sent back for her, it came out room temperature again and had it sent back. The fries that came with it were cold have them come back and came out cold again. My sisters mixed drink was very blend and playing had that sent back and it came back a little better but still not up to par. One of the our five kids(all under the age of 6, lost a D&B’s game card) the management didn’t do anything for us besides look for it. And every game that I played would jam up until they eventually just shut the game down for the day. To who it may concern Your game Busters Customer, Mindy Lynn Krajnak

The games are fun, but they have really gotten expensive. You can drop $ 20 on games before you finish your first drink. Some of the games cost over $ 2 per play, and it’s not a long play. i still like the concept of an adult arcade combined with a sports bar. I never understood their attempt at «upscale dining». Fancy dressed wait staff hustling burgers and chicken fingers doesnt equate to fine dining. Always makes me laugh though, and the kids seem to like it. The drinks are also expensive, if you don’t hit some kind of special. The food is not bad, but it is dressed up fast food. If you go in knowing what you’re in for, you can have a great time.

Meh, the burgers were good but the«specialty» drinks were overpriced and weak. Best bet is to go on a football day for drink specials or just get a beer. On a Saturday there was a lot of kids as well. Didn’t play the games.

It’s a typical Dave and busters. Great to have right in the area, if they make a mistake on the food, they fix it. I’ve been numerous times, and my son loves to play there. I feel like it is a safe location, clean and the staff is family. I wish that the food were more consistent.

It’s all great for the most part if you can tolerate the nasty air freshener. It smells like an axe cologne bottle exploded and it always does. This isn’t new or an accident. Not she’s what they are going for but they need to do something about this. It makes me sick and my kids asthma acts up. Every. Single. Time. We go here. But we still go bc it’s better than main event or chuck e sneezes.

The food to me, is a cross between chili’s and Cheesecake factory and feels like a place you’d go back when it was cool to go to Bennigan’s and TGI Fridays. Just a dated, boring menu with greasy, fried, cheap quality food where everything is EXTREME and has bacon and lots of cheese and is fried. A menu that appeals to the lowest common denominator for the purpose of being able to satisfy children and child-like tastes to get them into the door so they will spend their money on video games. The cocktails are a joke. Margaritas with sweet and sour mix just dont cut it when you just as easily can use fresh juice, and it makes a big difference. Just stick with beer or something that doesnt require a recipe or creation of any type or you will be getting a dumbed down, watered down, high fructose corn syrup mixture rather than quality, fresh ingredients. The games are passable. There are a few that are enjoyable, but really nothing that made me want to return unfortunately. The concept is nice in that you can get dinner, drinks and play games, but I’m just not the target audience as the food, drinks, nor games really were my preference.

This may be a lot more enjoyable for kids… The food: just ok. The menu is huge and I really couldn’t find anything that seemed overly appealing to me. Seemed like your standard chain restaurant food, which isn’t a bad thing, because most likely people are coming here to also play the games, not have a unique or fancy meal. The games: this kept us busy for a couple hours and was fun. There are a lot of arcade games that take up most of the floor space. I think it would be even better to have more varied styles of games. The cost was a bit pricey(I can imagine for a family), but since it’s not a weekly thing and it was 2 of us, it isn’t that crazy of a cost. We were able to get a price from the shop with our tickets because a friend let us use their tickets. You might have to come here quite often and hoard your tickets to use it for anything worthwhile.

Tuesdays are a great day to come in here as it is much more quiet and you can be seated much quicker. We started with one server who had the attention span of a 2 year old to the point that when you asked him a question, he would just look at you and walk away. We had a group of 7 and more were coming so we asked if we can combine tables, there was no response so we took it upon ourselves to move the tables. Another server came and she was very helpful and quick to take care of our party. Some people in our party had never been to a Dave & Buster’s and they were definitely pleased with everything; we will definitely be back for future dinners.

Traveling through the Austin TX area, my wife & I decided to take a break. We started looking for a place to watch the final race of the NASCAR season. Called this Dave & Buster’s location to see if a TV was broadcasting the race and the hostess told us that none was scheduled to show it. Asked to speak to a Manager to see if an out-of-the-way TV could be changed to the race in exchange for us spending a fairly large sum of money eating/drinking for three hours. After waiting 20 minutes for a manager to come to the phone, the hostess had to personally find him to ask him to take our call. The manager never bothered to take our call & simply told the hostess«No». We then drove into Austin, stopped at Champions Sports Bar & our request there was immediately accommodated. Apparently, «customer service» is reserved for only this manager’s select customers and not for out-of-town” travelers.

I’ve written positive reviews in the past particularly about NFL games watching at the D&B bar but we just got burned and it’s only appropriate to let it be known. If you are going to promote the fact that you show all the NFL games. you have to show ALL the games. We just walked in, 11:30 and the bar was 80% empty… asked which TVs would have the Vikings game and were told they weren’t showing it. Asked another person who confirmed that but added its on in the billiards room(small TVs, no chairs, no service). When I pressed the bartender he gave some weak excuses about there being 10 games and it’s not personal and he didn’t decide Etc. I pointed out the bar was empty and there are dozens of TVs. he said they’d be full later. I’m really disappointed in Dave and Busters because we watched several games there last year, and there were other Vikings fans there as well. One of the largest employers in Austin is Minneapolis based so there are literally thousands of fans here. While it might be an ok place for video games with your kids, if you are a football fan for any team outside Texas you cannot rely on these guys. We left and won’t be back.

Great hang out place for groups of friends, coworkers, and/or family. Large dining and game area. Happy hour specials are good as well. The food/service can be hit or miss depending on when and what day you go. But the best part is all the games, lots of fun games to play, but at time quite a bit can be out of order which is lame. But overall lots to do and decent prizes. Love that they started becoming paperless and doing away with tickets and letting it be electronically stored on the cards. Best time to go is on Wednesday when everything is half off on the games. Only downfall is you won’t ever want to come on any other days because the games will feel like ripoff prices compared to half off. Overall lots of fun and great place to hangout in the evenings or on a rainy day.

I went here today for the very first time. Just walking in there was this guy behind a desk. that’s not very helpful. there’s nobody to seat you. You just randomly sit where you want. Then the waiter finally acknowledges you. Takes awhile for the drinks. then never came back to see what we wanted to eat… so I took off to the arcade area… I bought a game card. Had surprisingly a lot of fun. I love the arcade there. There’s so much to do. And the machines spit out so many tickets it feels like you’ll win something big. Then you go and check out the prizes. N it’s a bit disappointing. But thats with anywhere I suppose.

I took my family here for my boyfriend’s 39th bday. My kiddos range from 15−19… Unless you count the big one haha. Anyhow, we all had a blast! To feed 5 of us and entertain us for 3 hours under $ 200 I feel like we couldn’t have chosen a better place. We had game play cards for all 5, two appetizers, 4 alcohol beverages, 5 entrees, and memories to last a life time. We went on a Monday around 5:30 and didn’t leave until 8:30. Which worked out great because it was ½ priced drinks and appetizers. It wasn’t crowded at all. Our waitress and the staff were prompt and helped us with all of our questions without making us feel like a bother. Many of the games we played we were all able to play at the same time. When it came time to cash in our tickets, we were allowed to combine our totals which the teenagers lovvvved that. All the prizes seemed decent(nothing cheaply made). Good times had by all and we will definitely return… Maybe on a Sunday for $ 10 unlimited game play!

We’ve been to many different Dave & Buster’s in the Chicago and around the Chicago suburbs so we know what to expect when it comes to Dave & Busters. The Austin Texas is a little different from the cities and the one in Addison IL. For one the security guy says they don’t card anyone if they aren’t at the bar. So they let kids and families stay there all day and night to play games. Another thing that is different at this Dave and Buster is that they have a cleaning lady attendant for the restrooms. That is good because all the other Dave & Busters especially the one in Chicago area is nasty restrooms. So this was very nice to have clean restrooms. It was fun to play there my husband and I had fun splurging on games and whatnot to get points for prizes to bring home to our kiddies.

This place is still awesome. They also have improved on food! I love the happy hour, the bartenders, and half price games. This is my go to place for parties.

These people will let you drink until you’re sloshy, just like Las Vegas. Me being sloshy while I was there for my birthday is probably the only reason I had enough fun to rate this place three stars though. Pretty slow service, and some of the machines ate my coins(sobering up and thinking back, it was not just me being sloshy). Took forever for a staff member to come and check out the machine that ate my money several times, and even then they tried to find some excuse as to why it wasn’t their fault. I was trying to relive a fun childhood birthday I once had here, but this place fell off pretty hard. OH, all my friends did pitch in their tickets for me and bought me a lava lamp though, so I was one happy boy.

Another great and pleasant experience here at Dave & Busters. Our waiter was Jacob. He is very pleasant and my bf’s daughter had fun joking with him. He had great suggestions for our meal. If you come here ask for Jacob.

*******BURGERWASDISGUSTINGMYSTERYMEAT***** I had the worst burger I have ever eaten here this weekend. Which is confusing because they used to have awesome burgers. I guess when companies go public they quit worrying about the food. The meat was like something you would get in the high school cafeteria(even worse). It looked like it had just been heated up and like ALPO. I sent it back and they removed it from my bill. The employees looked burnt out and like they didn’t enjoy working there. This place used to be awesome. The décor is dated and looks like a relic of 1980’s TGI Fridays era.

I came here with some friends after work for some food and games on a Friday night. Although I didn’t order any food my self, I tried everyone else’s at the table. Over all, it all tasted good. Nothing really stood out but it tasted fresh and came out quickly. We also ordered two beer towers which were great. They stayed cold the entire meal. After the food, we went out to the games and played around for a couple hours. Its a ton of fun to play the games that allow you to challenge all of your friends. Some of these games include horse racing, car racing, 4 person air hockey, and 4 person pac man. I am not big on the shooting games but it was a fun night with some co workers.

I was hesitant to have our daughter’s 4 year birthday celebration here, feeling that it’s actually more a tween through adult aged place and wondering if she’d need constant coddling and coaxing to have a good time. But… we were only planning to have one other kid attend due to a series of unfortunate events; Thus I was pretty much planning a 4 year old birthday party which needed to entertain two little girls and the rest were all adults. Dave & Busters fit the bill. First, their kids’ birthday packages are very affordable. We bought a package for 10 kids, and I did explain that the majority of my guests would be adults. They were fine, it’s a family style meal served with the birthday packages with a set amount in the portions. So we were able to feed the kids and adult guests all the kiddy food, birthday girl was happy, then we just tacked on the alcohol and special orders. The total bill came out to just over $ 200.00 with six adults each having bar drinks. The games — eh, that’s not my cup of tea, but I can say that the arcade is huge and the kid had a blast. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. Our service was great, both from our waiter and from the manager who personally checked on our party multiple times, answered all our questions, gave us complimentary gaming cards for our next visit — which will be tonight — and personally delivered the tab to make sure everything was satisfactory. I like the atmosphere and think it’s a great family friendly spot when you have wide age gaps — this can accommodate the beer drinkers, the sports fans, the kids young and old, and they have fancy cocktails and even Proseco for the ladies. Honestly, it’s a pretty good time and we left all smiles. And… I’m not gonna lie… I don’t care if they come in a box and were just nuked right out of the freezer… but their mini cheese pizzas were actually really good. Don’t judge me.
