Delicious subs. The entire place is full of 20 year old furniture and décor… even the posters on the wall are from decades ago. Update the place would ya?! Also, the employees are smoking out front or back every single time I come here. It’s not appetizing to see the people touching your food beating a weed right beforehand. Make a couple small changes and you’ll prob see huge rewards cause the food is good!

It’s utterly incomprehensible to me that Delaware has less than 5 stars at all. I haven’t read the negative reviews, but they couldn’t have been about the quality of their philly cheesesteaks, because they are by far the best ones that I have ever had in my life, and they have been nearly 100% consistent for the 5+ years I have been coming here. I’ve had so many other 5 star rated philly locations sandwiches that just still come absolutely no where near the level of taste, quantity, and quality that Delaware does. Ignore the negative reviews, because this place is a gold mine.

How can you go wrong with a perfectly executed Philly? This place is a great find. Located next to the hospital it has a little patio in the back and feels like a joint in Philly.

I’m from Delaware and this is the ONLY store in Texas I’ve visited over the years that knows how to make a REAL sub. That goes for all the Delaware Sub Shop locations

Well seeing as I was born and raised in Delaware and grew up making subs, I came across this place and had to stop by… and I was definitely impressed! I consider myself somewhat of a sub & cheesesteak aficionado if you will. And I will give Delaware Subs’ cheesesteak a solid 8⁄10. All too often you come across«philly cheesesteaks» that disgraces the namesake! Thankfully, this little joint here is a great representative of both Delaware and Philly I can say! Cheesesteak was huuuge, awesome quantity for the money. Their rolls are A+, but I do have to say the meat is just slightly off from what you’d get back east. Nonetheless, delicious. Will definitely be trying their Italian next time. DE represent!

Best Philly cheesesteak sub around! Being from Boston I had not found a decent sub shop till I came here. If you are in the area you need to grab a Philly cheesesteak sub from here. You won’t be disappointed!

The sandwich I had was good. It was warm, the bread was soft, it was a good size. All the fixings were good too like the sweet peppers. Why the 3 stars? There was beef in my chicken cheese steak. I don’t eat beef. So that was frustrating and it made it hard to finish my sandwich. I’d comeback and order the vegetarian sandwich. If there’s accidentally meat in that, then I’m done.

The kitchen was ungodly slow today, but the payoff was really great food. Solid cheesesteak, sweet peppers are fantastic. I had the«breakfast cheesesteak» on another occasion, and it’s a great response to the breakfast taco.

When in the area, I always have to stop by and get the Philly Cheesesteak with the sweet & hot peppers. It’s a mouth watering delite. Try it once and you’ll go back time & time again.

Ordered the Italian, came on stale bread and drenched in oil. It’s not the worst sandwich I’ve ever had, but it’s not very good either.

Only place in town that makes a really good philly cheesesteak in my opinion. As good as it gets! Friendly and fast service. Nice seating. The bread is so soft and yummy. I love that you can add spicy or sweet peppers to the philly. And I love getting the ketchup on the side so I can dip the sandwich in to my preference. It’s greasy and yummy and such a treat. They have it on special every Thursday.

I have never been so appalled as I was when I came in here today. I called in several orders all of which the lady repeated on the phone. I walk all the way back to the hospital and realize they forgot to put a sandwich in my bag. I immediately call them to figure out what went wrong. The man on the other end of the line was rude and mocking me. He had me repeat the order again and thankfully I still had the sheet I called it in on. He told me it would be another 10 min. So I walked back to the sub place only to be stared down by the man that I spoke with on the phone. He was very rude and I asked for a manager. The manager was nice and apologetic. I still payed for the sandwich but he threw In some cookies and brownies. I missed my 30 min window to eat and had a cold lunch the next time I had a chance to sit down. I won’t ever be returning to this location.

These guys have really come a long way since my first review. In the past I have seen this place hit highs and lows, and, for a while, kinda stayed on the low. For the past year I’ve been frequenting them more often because they are close to work and convenient for me to do so. They have made some changes since my last review. They now do breakfast, have added a couple extra subs, and, THEYHAVEBEERANDWINE!!! Limited selections, nothing to get all hot and bothered by, but, a certain plus! They have also added a roofed deck with a TV. Good job by these guys. Definitely well deserved two star upgrade that I am happy to give. The customer service has greatly improved, as has the quality of the sandwich. Speaking of which, you can get any sub as a wrap! Furthermore, they give you options for add-on’s like sweet and hot peppers. I love the cherry peppers, and, the juicy mess they make! Their subs are delicious, and, you can get them on wheat or white. Also, as I previously pointed out, you can get them as a wrap. They have daily sandwich specials for around $ 5, and, you can make that a combo for around $ 7. Not a bad deal at all. I will continue to be a regular here as long as these guys keep doing the great job that they have been. I get 30 minutes for lunch, and, when I don’t pack my own, I call these guys. I’m able to walk over there, get my sandwich combo(includes chips and drink for under $ 10), and eat it there in less than 20 — 25 minutes!

I really love the Cheesteak sandwiches here. It’s mmmmmm great food! I had to dock them a star because I come in their on occasion and noticed that sometimes they don’t put the price for the daily specials on the wall board menu, so you either have to ask them or close your eyes and hope that the cashier is really charging you the right amount. It’s just a small nitpick. Otherwise, the place is clean, and it’s a great sub sandwich, fast, and affordable.

I have been really excited to try this place since we stumbled across it a few weeks ago. Here is the breakdown: 1. The bread omg! 2. Sweet peppers! Ahhh! 3. The meat was not gross or discolored. I know that sounds crazy, but I feel like its worth mentioning bc some of the torta places and SUBWAY have given me some really nasty meat lately. 4. They were really fast; I was finished in less than ten minutes and did not order ahead. AND it was lunchtime. 5. The location is really convenient. Minus 1 for putting oil on my sub without asking. Ew!!! Minus .5 for the price. I thought it was a little expensive(8.50), especially when I can get a similar sized sub at Thundercloud with bacon and guac that costs like 7 bucks. Minus .5 for the mayo hate. I’m from the country and mayo is one of my most beloved vices. They acted like it was bizarre that I wanted mayo and only gave me a tiny bit.

This is the most inconsistent Delaware location in terms of quality. Today I was charged $ 15 for large gourmet with 1 slice of cheese, 7 slices of meat, a handful of lettuce, 4 pickle slices, and two tomatoes slices cut in half. In addition, I did not receive the peppers I paid for. On an prior visit I saw a staffer rotating between working the cash register and making sandwiches without changing gloves or washing his hands. He was shocked that I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. I frequently buy these sandwiches at the Far West location and have never experienced QC problems there.

I went here for lunch out of convenience(close to the hospital)…and I was VERY disappointed. I had the Monday special and my husband had the Italian. Neither one of us were wow’d by the experience, but mine was just plain awful. I think that Delaware Subs used to be good in the ‘90s…but if you don’t keep the menu up to date, make sure that the ingredients are actually fresh, taste good as well as update the décor(not to mention keep the interior clean), then a «1 star» is all I can give. It’s safe to say, I won’t be going back.

Best Philly in town. Love the Italian gourmet too. The bread changed years ago and again in the last few months, and not necessarily for the better.(Go back to cooking the bread in the store!) It’s not bad, just not great.

I seriously in love with this place, I have them on speed dial for a reason. The sweet peppers are heaven, need to added to every sandwich. I eat here weekly or evening byself and never get bothered, the staff is amazing and remembers me everytime. The meat is always fresh and so is the bread!
