Friendly and it’s really early and great environment. Today belongs to my daughters. Great environment and very clean. All the staff work hard and deserves a raise.

There is a reason this dennys has less than a three star rating it would be lower if no stars was an option. I cant comment on the food here because i never got any we left after 20 minutes without a drink or waiter approaching us. To keep this in mind there were only 8 tables 3 were done eating and when we left they thanked us not realizing we hadn’t ate yet. No surprise it was dead there at 2 am on a Friday night worst dennys ever and is he nail in the coffin on any of my future business

First time to this restaurant. Because it was my b’day Denny’s provided me with a free Grand Slam breakfast. You do not need to sign up for anything. Just show up with a valid ID proving it’s your birthday. The food was fabulous. Our waitress(Dianne) gave us excellent service and the restaurant was clean. It was a Sunday morning around 9:00 and there was no wait. We don’t live too far away so we will be back.

Not very good. Service is low. Food quality is low. Its loud and ghetto on third shift. Lots of beggars and thieves in the parking lot.

My family and I usually come to this location, as my children really enjoy Denny’s food, and the atmosphere is generally enjoyable. The past few visits, however, have been sub sub sub par. In addition to being woefully understaffed, the skeleton crew is woefully under trained. The evening shift forgets to bring ordered food, but does not forget to charge said food. The coffee has gone down hill, as well. It tastes burnt, and otherwise unpalatable. This is the general scope. This is the particular scope that prompted me to post on Unilocal, which I very seldom ever do. Tonight, my family and I came to this establishment, hoping to enjoy some waffles while I finished my online assignments. We entered the lobby, and saw only two staff members; a server looking overwhelmed, overworked, and downright lost, and who I can only assume is the MOD. They each looked right through us. They did not even bother to acknowledge our existence, much less deem it appropriate to let us know they saw us and would be right with us. After about 3 – 4 minutes, right as I was turning to lead my family out, the MOD approached us rudely, and tried to lead us to a table near the restrooms. My husband and I both declined that booth near the rest facilities, and asked to be seated on the other side of the restaurant. The MOD argued with us. We stated that I wanted to use the back corner booth that few people that time of night ever sit at because I would be able to get a stronger wifi connection to be able to complete my school work for the evening. The MOD proceeded to tell my husband that there was NO wifi over there(I always sit in that booth and have never had an issue logging into the wifi), and that we needed to sit over there(near the rest rooms). I told him I would not be eating near the rest rooms, and that the booths were too small to accommodate my family, and my computer, and that we wanted the table in the back or at the very least, the round table near the window facing IH35. He then said, well, you can’t sit there, we have a large party coming in later, follow me to this table(near the restrooms). I gathered my family and walked out. We will NOT be back to this location. The treatment we received tonight was horrible. The mannerism and rudeness of the MOD was inexcusable. If he isn’t prepared to deal with a rush of customer’s on a skeleton crew, then he either needs to schedule more staff, or find a new business line. I am sad to report this, as we generally enjoyed this location, with the exception of the past few trips. This was the straw.

Pumpkin Pecan pancakes were better than I hoped. Go see Shaneice. Great service. I got drawn in by the commercials. I work close by but this was the first time here in years. Good job marketing.

Friendly Staff and they seem to work together good. 2nd visit — not very busy — food delivered timely appropriate. Bench seats in disrepair. Table condiments should have been filled. First visit, no chocolate or vanilla ice cream. Corporate question: Denny’s originally named«coffee shop» but now have limited options on coffee varieties, not even flavored cream.

Ok food. Good service. But LOUD dance music at 6:00am? We did ask them to turn it down, but I guess they really liked their tunes. Bacon thin. Crunchy part of hash browns good.

Ok, I have gone to this Denny’s many times since it is the closest Denny’s to my house. It takes me a lot to say anything about their food in the place for two reasons: 1) Once said the service become incrementally shittier when someone does say something 2) Not only the food, but the service was horrible. In this case the waitress was absolutely awesome and I left her a $ 7 tip for $ 26.00 of food. Yeah I am biased, but if my kids like someone, then I like em, period. Either way she was attentive for the most part and almost too nice, but I think I would rather have that any day over just being a horrible waitress. The only reason why I am giving this establishment is two stars is for the waitress. Otherwise it would seriously be one star. She did her job, and even though she asked me how the food was, I did not have the heart to tell her my issue. So I brought my two girls in there with me today. They were absolutely driving me nuts and had to scold them multiple times for being out of line. If I could Unilocal my kids I would, but this is about establishments heh. In any event, the food was a serious thing for me. Let’s face it. Going out anywhere now a days is somewhat of a treat due to not having enough money to really go out often, and when one goes out, they want to have shit done right. Like I said earlier, the waitress was absolutely awesome. But let’s talk about the food: My girls food turned out good and they are as much as they do. Which is never really much, but my food wax another story. I ordered the Fish and Chips. I am a connoisseur of fish and chips. Basically any fish fried I am pretty good with. Either way I am not that picky either. But when I saw what she served me I think I threw up in my mouth a little. Granted I was already having a bad day, but this just took the cake. I had to wait a few hours before I posted this just to calm down from the anger of it all. I have been a patron of this place for about 7 years now and have never ever ever had fish that was cooked worse anywhere I have ever eaten fish in my life. My ARMY skills came back into play as I was just so pissed that I just ate it anyway. You know how fried fish is supposed to be soft on the inside and flaky on the out? Well, this was like beef jerky on the inside and burnt on the outside. I can’t actually believed that they served that. Either way I figured since it was seriously overcooked, at least I probably won’t die from eating it and forked it down. Have you ever been to a place where you accepted what they gave you for service but felt that you felt cheated afterwards? I mean really, I could have made this food burnt and all at home ya know? I don’t know who the chef was at the time, but they really need to retrain their people there. I mean I would even have more of an understanding if the place was packed, as it usually is, but there was about maybe 5 tables seated the time I was there. So in the end: Waitress 6 stars — she was awesome Chef — horrible food. I mean even the broccoli wasn’t steamed enough. Maybe if he put more time into steaming the broccoli and less time into burning the fish it would have worked out. Either way, I won’t eat there again. Minor complaint: They had a total of 3 crayons between my daughters. The waitress tried to find more but that was all they had. I guess I should be thankful for that. But again, its a minor complaint.

Awful place near what appears to be a labor hall area. First server was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think about what I wanted to order. After respectively saying«Mam, you are kind of loud,» she brushed me off as if it didn’t matter. My husband went to ask for a different server. Ridiculous… even the guy next to us said she was very loud. Food = 2 stars… and our next server was just as loud. But, we explained to her the situation and she lowered her voice with no problems. The second waitress gets a 3… For cleaning up the last waitresses mess.

Remember that Elvis song about«in the Ghetto». This Denny’s is why his mama cried. Poorly staffed, poorly managed. The hostess wasn’t at her station for over 20 minutes while having to help the bus staff. I’ve never been to a Denny’s before but I don’t imagine this is what is should be like. I won’t be back. Kerbey Lane or IHOP. I’m set with them.

Where do you go when you want breakfast served to you at noon? Denny’s! Alright I get it it’s not flashy or fancy but, it’s good and we all indulge every once in a while. I wanted breakfast and nothing lunch wise would cure the craving so, I headed to Denny’s to fill the void. It was actually quite busy but we were seated in the back area that a server who had just come on shift was waiting on. I ordered my usual, mozzarella sticks with blue cheese dressing to start with. Seriously their blue cheese dressing is the best anywhere. As I skimmed over the menu, I realized times have changed from the Denny’s that I knew and integrated into something different. I saw a picture of Emeril, wow this place must be legit now! I can’t remember the name of the breakfast sandwich that I ordered. It was lost in the deliciousness of the memory of me eating it. It was eggs, bacon, sausage, maple syrup spread etc., served with hash browns and I ordered a side of bacon. As we sat waiting for our food a very strange couple came in to sit next to us and I had the pleasure of watching a drug deal go down. Huh, who knew you got live entertainment with your food; um normal! The sandwich was sweet, salty and savory all upon the first bite. I only got through half of it because of the 3 best tastes but, it’s something I would order again. The hash browns could have been cooked a little better but, as always the bacon was greasy and awesome. The mozzarella sticks leave me wondering how they have the best ever! I paid the tab and left knowing it may be a long time before I get there again but, the memory of every trip will always stay with me an tide me over until the next visit.

This is a busy Denny’s on the southbound side of I-35 near 183. The dining room is small, which can make for wait times on Sunday mornings. The staff does a really good job of turning over tables as well as giving good estimates of wait time. The fare is nothing different then you’d get at any Denny’s. No issues with quality(i.e. heat, presentation, accuracy) any time I’ve been here. I will say having been here a few times, it always seems to be well managed, the acting manager is actively trying to improve the operations and customer experience. The kitchen gets the food out, it’s of expected quality, and the servers aren’t so overworked they lose track of your table. I like sitting at the bar for quicker service. The best seats might be around the corner of the bar near the restrooms, where it’s just 4 seats and a big screen TV right in front of you. Perfect if you are by yourself and want a little privacy. There are a lot of good places in Austin to grab a more leisurely breakfast, this is a place to come and get something familiar, and move on with your day.

We most recently went here on the ROT rally weekend so our expectations weren’t too high. I must say though, we really had a great experience. First, our wait was much shorter than they told us at first. Working in service myself, I know the idea of underpromis and over deliver. We were pleasantly surprised. Second, the food came out a little slow, but our server made sure we were taken care of the whole time. I was really impressed with how she handled all the people that were in the restaurant. Third, once the food came out, it was all really hot and tasted great. I wanted to note that because when we have been places for breakfast and they are packed, the food tends to come out cold. Overall, really this was a good experience, and I will be back with my family.

I don’t usually write on popular chain places(Starbucks or Midas or Subways), cause everyone uses them, but I was very impressed by this Denny’s that I had to throw them some props. First off, I eat at 24 café a lot in South Austin, the food is excellent there with big portions, but fricking expensive($ 25 or more for a breakfast with Coffee and juice). Coming to this Denny’s for the first time, I ordered Whole Grain French Toast with honey and berries, bacon and coffee. For 10 bucks, this was damn good tasting food! Almost as good as 24! Compared to most diners, your bang for the buck here goes really far(at least judging by my breakfast experience). I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was great too, and to top it off: GREATCOFFEE. I don’t know if it’s a gauge of whether or not this country is going down the drain, but good coffee is a skill lost upon this current generation, and Starbuck’s isn’t filling that void in any capacity anytime soon. Dammit America! Its not the Taliban, Economic policies or foreign threats that are endangering us, its COFFEEMAKING! Make great Coffee = alert workers= better quality work = better economy and prosperity = world power. Fricking Bernake better take notes.

When Daniel J. and Tony B. became excited about going to a Denny’s around midnight, my first thought was they had been drinking way too much. I actually can’t remember the last time I’d been to a Denny’s, but since this one was fairly close, and Denny’s pancakes were always good, off we went. Imagine my surprise when the first thing I saw on the menu was«All-the-pancakes-you-can-eat for $ 4.» When our server explained how it worked and then mentioned — with unusual awe and wonder — that the most pancakes he had ever seen consumed here was eleven, I was pretty sure the record-holder was an amateur with neither the psychological background nor the proper training and skills obtained from a Ryan’s University or Golden Corral College. I calculated it would take me a little over a half-hour to set a new pancake record here. But we’ll never know now, will we? After watching me eat only nine pancakes, Daniel and Tony became increasingly antsy about how long the evening had been, how tired they were, and all the stuff they had going on the next day. So out of simple respect and consideration, I ended the dream, because that’s the kind of guy I am. Regardless, the pancakes were as good as I remembered them: Hot and fluffy, almost a real buttermilk taste, about five-inches in diameter, and they kept bringing them two at a time until I had to stop — a really good deal for four bucks. I probably wouldn’t have done more than a dozen or so anyway, and I left here thinking Denny’s is a surprisingly cheap and tasty late night option. As Gary K. would say, «Would I return here?» Why, yes I would, and with more coffee all around. ************************ (Editor’s note: Errol M. talks shit, but if he had eaten one more pancake, he would have hurled all over the table, probably to the chagrin of both Daniel J. and Tony B. who were very patient and only slightly bemused during this entire process.)
