OMG! DIRTINMYDATESSALAD– QUESOWASWATEREDDOWN– CHIPSWEREICECOLDANDGREASY– AND I FOUND A 6INCHBLADEOFGRASSINMYSALAD! I called the waitress over and told her we were cancelling our order because of(and I held up the grass for her to examine) the grass, she put her hand on her hip and said«well, it is a GARDEN salad» and rolled her eyes!!! I wasn’t going to wait around for the hoof in my steak because it came from a cow. We walked out. This was absolutly unacceptable.

We went to Red Pepper because had a $ 25-off coupon. It was okay, the food was alright but very pricey. We ordered a «mixed grill» which we split between two of us, because it cost $ 26. It was grilled chicken, a grilled steak, and Elgin sausage. Nowhere on the menu did they mention that all of these would be slathered in barbecue sauce, which seemed quite odd to me. The sauce should have been mentioned on the menu, and certainly should have been served on the side. The accompanying vegetable of the day was very nicely cooked although rather pedestrian. Two of us had burgers(ten bucks for a burger!) which were okay too. As another reviewer said, the ambience was not up to the prices… We were the only customers in the place on a Tuesday evening, but the service was very slow, the food took probably half an hour to come, the waiter simply was nowhere to be seen. It took awhile to find him to get our check. We all agreed that the meal had been just okay, not great, was way overpriced, and we would not return.

This is the primary restaurant in the Radisson hotel near Highland Mall. It was surprisingly good, if a bit pricey. I ordered tilapia, and it was a very large portion. The chili sauce was mild. The veggies were good, and I got a huge plate of fries instead of rice. I was too full to try the chocolate cake, but it looked good. The décor left a lot to be desired, reminding me of Luby’s. There were only a handful of other customers, and our waiter was attentive.
