It’s basically a beefed up cicis, buy hey great price, all they need now is marinara on the Buffet line, so I can get down on those boss pizza rolls

$ 10 buffet on Wednesday! It includes a beer/soda too! OMG, I haven’t been here in YEARS! Totally chill spot, lots of families. They take requests for the pizzas too. I enjoyed the salad bar option as well. This isn’t high faluting fancy pants pizza either. Solid deal.

I have been going here once a week for a long time. They have new management. I work in same shopping center. They tryed to charge we over a dollar more for salad bar today. They also took eggs out of salad bar. They lost my business today. The salad isn’t worth almost eight dollars.

Best pizza from a franchise type pizza place hands down. They have great specials and a good buffet. I love their crust! So yummy! We usually order to go and then swing by and pick it up. It has always been ready on time and the staff is friendly. We eat here any time pizza comes up. Well worth the price!

Double Daves is not the best pizza, but it is better than the big Papa Johns and Huts of the delivery world. For a buffet is it heads and tails above places like CiCis. The folks at this location were really nice, and the buffet had a reasonable amount of pizza on it, unlike some places. The video games are cool too.

Good Wednesday evening buffet. Nice variety of pies. Salad bar is decent. The environment is great. The staff are energetic and fun to be around.

This review is about this location in particular. I have been two other locations besides this one, and today I tried this location for something different. I got a very very ugly and short greet from this older short latino worker that made me feel instantly that I shouldn’t have came here today. I told him I would like the buffet for two adults and my son who is 3. He then goes on to tell me that he’s going to have to charge for my son. I have NEVER had to pay for my son who eats maybe 1 slice of their tiny pizzas. He said thats the policy which I stated that the other two closest ones that I went to a few weeks prior didn’t charge me for my child. He looked shocked and said thats weird because its the same owner and they’re supposed to as well. I told him fine he won’t eat then don’t charge for him with his response being, «You know what this time I will not charge you since they’re all doing it wrong». While I was grabbing food he was«cleaning» the pizza area just swiping pieces and crumbles from the pizzas off the floor making a mess and not sweeping it up and letting people just walk all over it. Customer service at it’s worse this guy. Bad day or not, you leave it at the door when you clock on. Knowing that its the same franchise owner for the closest locations unfortunately my family plus 12 other members of my family will no longer be dining at either one where we ate about 2⁄3 times a month.

I was really surprised to see an empty restaurant at 8:30 on a Friday night, and now I know why. My wife ordered some pizzas for me to pick up on the way home from work. I got to the restaurant about 15 – 20 minutes later. My food wasn’t ready, but I paid and the cashier informed me it would just be a few minutes. There was one table of folks dining in and another of people waiting for pizza, too. 20 minutes later, the cashier comes over and asks again for the name on the order. She gets a pained look on her face, goes over to pick up my pizzas waiting(for who knows how long) under the heat lamps on the buffet table, gives me a half-assed apology, and walks off. It’s sad because I’ve been numerous times during the day for the buffet, and the service and pizza have always been good. It’s strange, too, because during the day, everyone working is an adult. In the evenings, during what should be their biggest rush? Nary an adult or anyone who even remotely looks like a manager. I guess the owner makes enough off of daytime buffets at this franchise to not give a crap about what goes on the rest of the time. Kind of pathetic. I considered asking for a refund, but my faith in the abilities of those working wasn’t particularly high. I could see that being a huge pain in the ass.

I love the buffet! My coworker and I come here all the time for the buffet and the food is always hot, fresh and very tasty. My favorite pizza is their buffalo chicken, I can’t get enough of it! The pepperoni rolls are delicious and the salad bar is always fresh! The staff is very friendly and are always happy to take special requests for the buffet.

Picked up my order of a Stromboli, pepperoni rolls and cinnamon rolls. Unfortunately, upon arrival home we realized it was the wrong Stromboli. Called in and they were quick to make it right by delivering the correct one to the house. Everything was delicious and a company who can fix a problem like that so quickly, is a-ok in my books! Been eating at Double Dave’s since high school. don’t plan on changing that any time soon!

Horrible customer service. Will never order from them again. One kid took my order, totaled me out with my credit card over the phone and promised me my ordered delivered in 30⁄45 minutes. 35 minutes I receive a call from the restaurant informing me the previous server had quoted me the wrong price and if I wanted my order it would be more than double my original bill. … Silence… Did I still want them made? Are you kidding me? That weren’t even made yet and you want to charge me for your employees mistake? Pffft Too many good pizza places in this city to put up with this crappy service. Buhbye

I do enjoy the pizza rolls and Stromboli at DoubleDave’s. They are one of the last great pizza buffet’s as well. This one is in a great location and usually very busy. Everyone should try DoubleDave’s buffet at least once!

Review is for pepperoni rolls only. Still as delicious as our college days! Great dough– crispy on outside, thin, chewy. Delicious. Pepperoni & provolone cheese. Dip with ranch(comes with your order). OR you can choose pizza sauce if you’re healthy like that. Come on Tuesdays for Pepperoni roll specials! BOGO. 8 – 12 minute wait for hot, freshly-made goodies. I’ll be back.

The staff person taking our order was patient and helpful. The pizza was good enough… for a self proclaimed food snob.

The buffet hits the spot once in a while. They will make a request for you. The salad can balance the less healthy foods. It’s hard to stop eating at the point where you’ll only be mildly uncomfortable for the rest of the afternoon. The pizza is decent, and it’s nice to be able to get one slice of BBQ Chicken and three other types without ordering entire pizzas.

I guess I remembered Double Dave’s being better than it is OR they simply put low quality stuff out for the buffet. Pros: Pepperoni rolls = just as good as the one you buy between classes at UT :) Futuristic soda machine thing. I never know what to call these, but they rock! They gave us take home boxes when they were shutting down the buffet. Um AWESOME! I’ve never seen a buffet do that before! Cons: The pizza for the buffet is kind of on the meh side, even if you were craving pizza.. . :\

Double Dave’s is awesome, go there! They have great specials, too. I love their pepperoni rolls which are 75 cents each on Tuesdays. Good food, good prices, good staff. Nothing to dislike here! They also have a pizza buffet at this location and one of those spaceship coke machines. There is a salad bar too, which is pretty standard for the chain.

I LOVE Double Dave’s. All the locations in Dallas have closed and I’m super bummed. The closest one is in Euless or in Arlington, about 45 minutes away. *sigh* So we’re in Austin and we’re looking for a place to eat dinner. The in-laws love pizza and my MIL says, «There’s a place around the corner called Double Dave’s.» The Wife says, «Bruce LOVES Double Dave’s!» and it’s been decided. I was hoping they’d have buffet, but as my luck would have it, that’s only on Wednesdays and we’re there on a Monday. The in-laws, including my wife order pizza and I, of course, order the Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli. Medium. It’s enough for one person and *it’s the best thing on the menu* hands down. The next best thing is the pepperoni rolls. I also notice that Unilocal has a check in offer for a free pepperoni roll. Yum. We sit down to eat and the food comes pretty quick. I have the whole family try a piece of my Stromboli and everyone loves it, OFCOURSE. Dip it in your ranch dressing. It’s so good!!!

Went here because Reale’s is closed on Sundays. Love Reale’s, why are they closed on a Sunday, wish I knew because its great Pizza. First bad indicator, its empty at 7PM. The person who took our order at the counter was nice enough, and its cheap, so a couple points, But the owner/manager of this place should really be inspecting more, tables from previous customers did not get cleaned for over 45 minutes, no ice in the soda machine, and the mens room, well, it was bad. Really bad. We order one pepperoni and one sausage, it was pizza, not great, not the worst, but nothing I’d go out of my way for. If you need pizza, and this is the only place you can find, maybe, but if Reale’s is open, no brainier.
