it seems almost every time I order a pizza the ingredients are just thrown on top and not spread-out evenly — they cant take 5 seconds to do it right

I don’t give out stars like they’re candy. I was torn between a 3 and 4 for this place. I finally opted for 4, because in addition to tasting good, they’re the only place I know of where you can buy good Chicago-style pizza(they call it stuffed, I’m not sure why). I’ve been here 3 times now. I’ve gotten Chicago style all three times. I’ve tried the Papa one twice and the Chicago meat once. For some reason, the Papa one isn’t listed on their website, but it is available in store. Of the two, I prefer the Papa one. It’s got a good balance of sauce and toppings. The Chicago meat one was so loaded with meats that the oils from the meat actually drip out. A little nasty, but still tasty. I couldn’t help but think of my arteries hardening when I saw that though. The pizzas are gigantic. Unfortunately there is no small or medium stuffed pizza only large and family size. The large is more than two people can eat. Even taking into account lunch the next day! I think 2 parents and 2 kids would find the large more than enough. Even 4 adults probably would. Overall, the toppings and cheese taste better than the other big chains. The cheese in particular is better and tastes more like real cheese than the pseudo cheese products the other guys use. I like their sauce a lot. It’s a nice touch of sweet and herb, nothing overpowering and not too«tomato-y» or acidic. The crust of a stuffed is obviously going to cook differently, so I can’t speak to the regular pizza crust. The stuffed is so filling though, that I don’t eat the last wedge of crust for fear that I will explode. Last, it makes the house smell great. I mean really good. Will be going back many times!

Absolutely the best take-out pizza chain, and among the best period. Actually baking it in your own oven fresh really does make a difference. One word of warning. the thick crusts in combination with multilayer toppings, like the vegetable mix don’t seem to cook fully in our oven. Maybe we’re doing something wrong, but we’ve never had any problems with the thinner crusts or the simpler topics

This was my first time in Papa Murphys. I reviewed their menu on-line and decided on the thin crust chicken Mediterranean. YUM! I was greeted when I walked in and the staff were all very pleasant and personable. I walked out with my pizza in less than 10 minutes(and this was at 7pm on a Saturday!) Popped this in the oven when I got home and the BF and I ate a delicious pizza that night. I will be going back… beats frozen pizza by far!

Papa Murphy’s has revolutionized pizza. At least that’s what they say. I must say that I whole-heartedly agree with this statement! When I rave about Papa Murph’s(that’s what those of us in the know call it…) people don’t understand the concept of buying a raw pizza just to cook it at home. I’m often met with«Uhhh, why don’t you just buy a frozen pizza from HEB?» Pssshhhhh. I haven’t graced the frozen pizza section ONCE since I discovered Papa Murphy’s… and with this location as convenient as it is, it’s rare that we order pizza for delivery anymore. We’re Papa Murphy’s converts! So what exactly am I raving about? EVERYTHING. Every pizza I’ve tried has been spot-on. They’re extra generous with the toppings and they have tons of delicious meats and veggies to add that your typical delivery chains don’t offer. The pizzas on the menu are delicious, or you can choose to build your own. Building my own pizza involves too much decision making, so I usually stick to the«Combo Magnifico.» Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and onions on a thin but not too thin crust pizza. It used to be on the menu and isn’t anymore but just ask for it and they’ll throw it together. The stuffed pizzas are killer, but I rarely get them because I can’t even finish one slice– they’re packed with deliciousness! They offer a variety of deLite pizzas which boast«healthier» options on a thin crust. Healthy schmealthy, I’m here for PIZZA! The thin crusts are good, but let’s drop the act and quit pretending a thinner crust makes it better for us. The secret is all in how you bake it… and I’ve mastered that. The Master’s technique: Use the tray that it comes with for the first 10 minutes, then when you check on it at 10 minutes, slide the ‘za off the tray and let it cook on the rack for the last 2 – 3 minutes. I’ve found that leaving it on the tray for the entire cooking time leaves the crust a little soft in the middle. Papa Murph’s Perks: It’s quick… even on busy days when the place is full of soccer moms and hungry tots I’m in and out of there in 10 minutes tops. The kids who work there are EXTRA friendly and always willing to offer suggestions when you can’t make your own decisions.(all the time) There’s a $ 2.00 coupon on every pizza. Simply do the phone survey while you’re nomsing on your delicious pizza and BOOM, you just saved $ 2.00 on your next visit! Oh, you’ll be back… trust me. Stamp cards… I love getting rewarded for my loyalty. For every 5 stamps you get $ 5.00 off. With double stamps every Wednesday it adds up quick. AND it gives me an economical reason(excuse) to eat pizza every Wednesday!
