Easy Street Driving School

Definitely the best driving school in Austin. I absolutely recommend this place whether you want to start your driving adventure or just practice safe driving. I signed up for adult driving to get my US licence and I couldn’t ask for a better instructor than Brenda. She is both professional and very experienced but also the sweetest person — you will really enjoy your lessons at ESD!
Rescheduling lessons? Rescheduling driving test? Pickup from work? Giving extra lessons? They will really make your life easier here.
*** Before ESD I took a few lessons at different driving school (south Austin) and it was only a waste of money, poor quality, instructor just didn’t care.

My 19 year old just finished the classroom portion for driving and was ready for some behind the wheel experience. Most of the other schools had long waiting lists for behind the wheel. Easy Street was able to accommodate all his lessons within a three week period which was great! During the driving portion my son began to lose some confidence and was extremely nervous. Brenda noticed and suggested to reduce the amount of driving time and which added an additional day. This really helped him and he felt better about driving. They were very flexible with scheduling and extremely patient. He hasn’t taken the driving test yet but Easy Street was worth it, I would recommend it!

Simply the best.
Before coming to Easy Street, I had searched and queried quite a few driving schools. Some didn’t reply for more than 2 weeks, while others did not have a flexible schedule. But easy street was prompt, extremely patient and helpful.
Now, I am 25 and I was terrified since I had only driven in India. Regardless to say, the rules here are very different. Plus it is an altogether different experience sitting on the «opposite» of the car driving on the «opposite» side of the road. But Brenda was extremely patient. She drove with me for the first hour and made me realize what were the areas I needed to focus on. Then we scheduled 2 more hours to gain more confidence. She is a great tutor, and I was surprised when I was able to do the parallel parking with such ease after the first few attempts. We focused on the parts where I felt I was lacking as well as on the parts she felt was necessary to pass the road test.
Before the road test, they generally schedule an hour to get you accustomed to the area near DPS, although it’s up to you. Juan was super helpful in pointing the important things out and that helped me calm down before the actual test. Needless to say I passed the road test in the very first attempt. And I did not practice anything on my own. Just with Easy Street.
Easy Street are a bunch of super helpful people with a great attitude. They are prompt, and are very cost-​effective. Plus, they have the option to charge you by the hour which gives you more flexibility in choosing your lessons. You do not have to enroll in a specific plan, which is what most other driving schools have. In short, if you are in Austin and need to get your DL, just choose them. You can never go wrong with Easy Street.

I really appreciate the amount of driving knowledge that Juan and Brenda had while I was taking driving lessons this past month. I was nervous at first but after a few lessons I felt much more confident behind the wheel. I also like how they try to schedule a lesson right before the driving test, which I passed today. Friendly and knowledgable, I would recommend this school if they are looking for good driving habits at an affordable rate.

As an adult learning to drive for the first time at the age of 25, I was simply TERRIFIED. Juan and Brenda are excellent instructors who are extremely patient and encouraging. They take notes on your weaknesses and have their lessons focused on those areas until you get it down. They are relaxed enough to allow you to make mistakes and learn from them but are also quick to prevent any mishaps. I appreciated that they were asking me questions and raised my awareness of things to look out for so I could develop the thought processes needed for safe driving. These 2 instructors aim not to teach you how to pass your driver’s test but to make you safe drivers, which should be what every driving school is about.
I would definitely send anyone I know who is terrified of driving to them. They are absolutely a joy to learn from and are so willing to work around your schedule.
