Mmm riquisimo the creamy green salsa it’s really good, i ate pollo regio como dos veces por semana, but cada vez it’s more expensive so now como una sola vez.

My husband and I have a special nod while driving through Austin.
No words needed. We stop off a Pollo Regio and always get 2 Taco Carne Asada Tacos with extra corn tortilla and extra green stuff. My husband speaks spanish – so he orders, and I go next door to grab us 2 forty’s of cerveza.
WE go under the penny backer bridge and enjoy a romantic, orgasmic meal in our car.
The corn tortillas. A must.
The green sauce. oh my god.
The beef. I just lust over it. My mouth quivers upon seeing it.
The pico. I love it.
The grilled jalepeno. PUT IT IN MY FACE.
We don’t talk throughout our meal and immediately make out afterwards.

Chicken was good. Only problem was I paid and ordered a full chicken. But I only had one half of the bird. Is this is a new trend? The place was dirty and the employees ignore you being there at the window. Joking and cavorting among themselves while the customers awaiting at window. I am sure their social needs are more important than their job tasks. I paid $ 15.90. Did l paid enough for a full bird? Or am I supposed to go back an other day to pick up the rest of my order?

i highly recommend pollo regio — both the chicken and the carne asada. if you’ve been here and love the chicken, try the carne asada! it’s like delicious meat popcorn. the rice and beans are good, too!

LOVE IT ! Cannot rave enough about it. Been here countless times. I do warn that the English is limited but the food is soooo good. And it looks like they are expanding. Green sauce is awesome. We usually get a while chicken. And I LOVE THE BEANS!

Holy Yard Bird BATMAN! This was beyond delicious it was darn tootin’ SPANKY! There are in no way enough fabulous adjectives to describe it!!! The building and area a bit scary. The English spoken at the window is limited. The food however is NOT. The food is astronomical and gastronomically delicious! Only suggestion is more beans and less juice. Rice great! Green sauce delicious. Limes and onions yummy dummy DOOOO toooo! LOVE IT AND WILL BE BACK!!! See you soon!!!

So good! A couple of friends showed me this place, oh my gosh, the chicken is amazing and the stuffed potatos will leave you with a potato baby in your stomach. Painful but worth every bite!

This place totally escaped my radar for a long time! I refer to this place as the «the whole in the wall chicken joint» if memory serves me correctly you order through a small window in the side of a kind of shady shopping center. Its all cash but the chicken is amazing! Super succulent and juicy! Right amount of spices. They give you a heaping of tortillas and grilled onions. Load up on the green sauce, the «agua-​mole» its fantastic! I need to get back here and devour some bird.

This chicken is so good! I have heard my co-​worker talk about it before and she brought me some today and MAN it was so good! I will certainly get more of this and it is really affordable, you get alot of food!

Absolutely the best grilled Mexican food in Austin. My wife and mother in law who are both from Brownsville love it. I agree with the above poster, get the extra rice and beans and green sauce, it can’t be beat. The whole chicken and the Carne plate is awesome…

Their chicken has literally fucked my world up it’s so good, one of the consistently best things i have eaten after 24 years of eating in Austin. Get the whole chicken, extra rice and beans and green sauce.
