Envision Eye Center

Took my three daughters to get exam and glasses. The staff was wonderful and so was the Doctor. I would defiantly, recommend this place for anyone looking for a great eye doctor. Location is also a major plus!

Such a great eye place lovely staff! Amy is the best soask for her. She spent an hour picking out cat-​eye frames with me. Great service great location I just wish they had more hours on the weekend they were open. They also give you all the info on your insurance as to what’s covered and what isn’t! Eye opening ;)

I’ve relied exclusively on contacts for the last 8 – 10 years because I could never find glasses I liked. I found glasses that I love here at Envision and also bought contacts. The team there was excellent. They let me know that my insurance would cover part of the glasses AND most of my contacts. I was excited about that, and Amy checked several times with the insurance company to ensure that we had that information right. After I made the purchase the insurance company reneged on what they had clearly stated prior to the sale. Envision made the best of a terrible situation caused entirely by the insurance company and maintained their excellent level of service despite tough circumstances. I’d recommend Envision to any friend in the area.

Staff was very welcoming and Friendly. Super professional didn’t have to wait too long for my appointment. I got my glasses framed and ready for pick up within just a couple of days.:)

Professional caring and quick. Checked on my insurance with very little lead time. Tons of discounts! Dr was very comforting and took time to educate me on how to stop progression, aka worsening vision from to much screen time.

I don’t write many reviews, so I’m not sure if Unilocal will even post this. I went to Envision Eye Center in Mueller yesterday and was very happy with everything from the moment I walked in until I left. My previous eye apts the past few years were at one of the bigger eye centers on Mopac and both times there I felt like a number and the staff didn’t seem very caring or like they even wanted to be in the same room as me (doctor and front desk). Personally I think that happy staff can often mean they are being treated well, so I like when the entire staff seems happy.
At Envision the doctor took the time to reassure me instead of talking down to me, and the front office was especially nice and helpful also. And, they didn’t even get frustrated with me that they had to do my digital retinal scan at least a dozen times because I kept blinking. The ladies in the front were understanding of my small face needing narrow frames and pointed me in the right direction and were patient while I tried on many pair and they looked up other colors to show me as well. After 9 years in Austin, I think I’ve finally found my eye doctor that I don’t dread going to. I will definitely be going back.
(The plaza has two EV charging stations in the parking lot by Envision, and there’s 2 additional by the liquor store and 2 more somewhere over by HEB. This was also a plus for me and one of the reasons I decided to try Envision.)

I’ve essentially followed Dr. Sawhney from her previous places of practice to this location. She’s been my go-​to Optometrist since I’ve been in ATX. I’m so glad she has her own practice now and that, too, in Mueller! Love the fact that it’s just a hop, skip, jump away from where I work. Perfect for us Seton Associates and of course, anyone residing in the area, as well. Asides that, I always feel comfortable with Dr. Sawhney as she does a GREAT job explaining everything in detail. She explained to me why I was experiencing blurriness in one of my eyes and what I can do to resolve the issue. I had been given the option to have my pupils dilated this visit or follow-​up (without any extra costs) at a later point. I appreciate the fact that Dr. Sawhney takes her time to go through all the examinations and detailed follow-​up right after. My husband would say the same especially given his specific eye condition that Dr Sawhney happens to also be an expert on. We absolutely love this office and everyone who works here — super friendly! Thank you for a great experience, always!

Dr D Sawhney and her staff are wonderful and accommodating and most importantly they care about their pts. They did a completely detailed and thorough exam and then prescribed the perfect progressive readers for me I enjoy them so much I went back a second time to get progressive sunglasses from them. I highly recommend them and they are deserving of a 5 star review.

All of the staff at this office are very friendly, knowledgeable, detail-​oriented and professional. They offer a very nifty alternative to having your eyes dilated which I really dislike. I was very impressed by Dr. Sawhney. She was more thorough than any other eye doctor I’ve been to. I received glasses a few years ago but never wore them because I couldn’t get used to them. She listened, spent extra time with me, and I think she helped determine why I didn’t adjust to my first pair. I highly recommend this office and all of the wonderful staff.

I found these guys randomly because they were in my vision plan, and they were the closest to my home in Mueller. So glad I found them! The doctor is very professional, super nice, they have all the modern equipment (no more dilation! no more air puff!), and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a nice selection of glasses (I got some super cute readers), and some good specials, like a spare pair of glasses when you get contacts. It’s in a convenient location with plenty of parking (stop in for a snack at Mod Pizza or Torchy’s while you’re there) as long as you’re not there at a mealtime. The atmosphere is very spacious and professional as well.
They also were able to fit me in for an appointment quickly, which was very nice. I felt like they spent all the time I needed and then some, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I felt valued as a patient and customer. Very refreshing.

I just recently moved to Mueller and as always checked Unilocal when looking for a new eye doctor in the area. I was very very satisfied with Envision Eye Center. Off the bat, they offered me a beverage, and had me fill out a couple pages of paperwork. By the time I was finished, they were ready for me (Right on time) The optician was very friendly and knowledgable. She even offered a suggestion on contacts for a friend of mine. I should also add they do NOT do the puff of air test for Glaucoma. They utilize a new tool, which is much less invasive. If you’re anything like me, this is a huge relief! Dr. Sawnhey was equally amazing. When we determined there was some fluctuation in my prescription she took the time to test my eyes and see if perhaps they were too dry, and if that was affecting my ability to focus. Once we determined that was the case, she took the time to recheck my eyes and ensure we had actually come up with the correct prescription. I really appreciate that she took the time to be so thorough.

This place is GREAT! The entire staff goes out of their way to provide amazing customer service. I noticed that they were new in the Mueller area and luckily they accepted my insurance. I went for a routine check up and I was so impressed. The office is clean and new, the staff is wonderful, and they are upfront about all costs. I was so happy with them that I made sure that my husband changed his doctor also.

Just want to give a big thanks for the service I received at Envision Eye Center. I’ve been to a few opticians and by far, this place is the best. The staff was friendly and attentive. Dr. Sawhney is charming and their service is a perfect example of excellent patient care.

I went for a routine eye exam for contacts today. & the eye doctor was so professional and nice. The girls in the reception area were very helpful and sweet. Everyone was very informative. I also loved that it was walking distance from my house. I’ll definitely be coming back every year for my contacts & glasses exams! The goody bag they gave me with stickys, pen & chocolate was a nice touch! Thanks for the great customer service :)

The staff here is amazing!!! They are super nice and polite, and take what they do seriously. The eye doctor doesn’t use the obnoxious puff of air, which I personally hate, and takes you outside to make sure that the script is right outside of the exam room. They have an entire series of very lightweight, Eco glasses, for those of use that are green, and off deals so even the frugal queen in me found a pair that I love. This is the only eye dr I’ll use now!

I have had pretty much useless eyes since I was 5, so I have ALOT of experience with eye doctors and eye care facilities — both good and bad.

Envision utilizes ZocDoc for appointment scheduling, which is super easy and convenient. I was able to schedule two Saturday appointments on the Thursday before with no issues. The office called that afternoon to confirm our insurances and verify what we were coming in for.
–Efficient
The office was on time with appointments when we arrived, and we were seen a few minutes early. Dr. Sawhney was very efficient yet comprehensive with both of our exams.
Our glasses were back in 6 days and we were notified via text/​email.
–No Pressure /​Sales tactics
My boyfriend was there for pretty much everything: exam, contact fitting, and glasses which they were more than happy to help with. But I was there specifically for an exam and new glasses, and was not pressured once to do a contact fitting or to purchase contacts… which was quite refreshing.
–Insurance Savvy
Amy was AWESOME working with both of us (different insurance plans) to figurine out how to get the most bang for our buck and to best utilize our vision and medical insurances. She ran numbers for us multiple times and didn’t scoff when we opted for less expensive options because we didn’t want to spend our mortgage payment on the ability to see.
