Event Staffing 101

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! A friend recommended event staffing 101, so I trusted that it would be a good experience. We hired them for a large Mardi Gras party earlier this year. The owner (Alix Simmons) initially confirmed my staff by email, but the website never showed that staff had accepted the job. Alix was extremely unprofessional in that she would not return emails or phone calls for days preceding the party to confirm. It was not until two days before that she got back with me and she was unapologetic that I had been frantically scrambling to find a replacement company since I had not heard back from her. Then the night of the event, the bartender showed up an hour before she was scheduled or needed, and even though she left and came back, Alix billed me for it and expected me to pay for that hour even when I pointed out that it was her error. So I paid it! THEN. last night event staffing 101 was hired for a huge party with lots of out of town guests and the staff DID NOT SHOW. Not only that, Alix does not return phone calls or have backup staff. So if you are hosting a party and you are ok with possibly manning the bar and serving the food yourself-​this is the company for you!!!

I found Event Staffing 101 when I attended a private party at a friends house. Tosin rocked my world that night with strong drinks and super speedy cleanup. I immediately got his card and hired them for the next event I had.
Fast forward a month and we’re hosting 350 people with five local beers and I’ve a need for three bartenders. Event 101 supplied them, at a reasonable price. They showed up early, cleaned up, stayed late, wore a dorky t shirt that I asked them to wear and were some of the most professional bartenders I’ve worked with to date.
Event Staffing 101 rocked it. If you need bartenders, they’re your guys (and gals).
