Man, what a great dog! I don’t normally gnosh on hotdogs but this was surprisingly good! And satisfying! The trailer was located outside of Austin Beerworks. Lots of tables near by and live music to boot! The Colonel Klink dog was delicious, juicy and fast as hell! I mean I had almost no time to turn around and talk to my buddy and they were calling my name. The Killer Fries were freaking amazing! VERY reminiscent of Chilantro Kim chi Fries, but with pork instead and big chunks of avacado. The fries are worth it, get one order and share them. Everyone else raved about their dogs and everyone seemed pleased and happy. I would be proud to bring people here and show them thus awesome experience!

I’ve hunted Evil Wiener down several more times around town and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve had several other dogs, the cowgirl, the Klink but my favorite is the Revolucion it’s by far the best!

Thank you to Roger and Evil Wiener for your community involvement! I was really impressed with your eagerness to participate in our PTA event, and how energetic your interaction was with our families. Our PTA is proud to have a business like yours in our community who not only makes the most delicious hot dogs, but who also shares our goal of building a solid sense of community for our families. We look forward to visiting your food truck again soon!

Evil Weiner comes to our office pretty often. It’s a good truck for a quick bite. I’ve tried it about three times. They have good food but my food always seems to barely be warm and the drinks are never cold. If they can put out hot food and cold drinks they’d be great.

Tex-Mex — Perfect combination of flavors, nice snap to the dog, really a great new take on the chili dog. if I had any complaint at all, I would have enjoyed a little more toppings on the dog. Solid 5. Colonel Klink — I’m sure it’s completely a personal thing, but didn’t enjoy as much as I expected, despite being the seriously best classic combo in my book. The flavor was a little odd, which by the end I determined was the brat itself. Not bad by any means, just perhaps not my favorite brand of brat. Love the name and will certainly be back in line to try a few more.

You just got me through a slow moving Monday, Evil Wiener! I had the Tex Mex(their version of a chili dog) with fries. The hot dog was perfectly made with carne guisada, cheese, jalapeño relish, and green onions. Also, plot twist! It comes on a bolillo roll! Such a delicious surprise. The fries were also nicely seasoned. I really wanted the queso fries but didn’t want to be a complete glutton. Also, the service was fast and friendly! Can’t wait to try them again.

Interesting combinations. I had the Cowgirl and pickle chips. Twas good. Check the website for locations. I caught them in an office park.

I had the Tex Mex dog and Killer Fries. Both were tasty and filling. These guys do a solid job of mixing things up with the regular hot dog by adding tex mex ingredients: pico de gallo, guac, carne guisada, and hot sauce.

I had the coleslaw with pork hot dog. It was good. Fast service too

I tried them at a neighborhood event and thought it was way overpriced. The hotdog was okay but not the best ever and certainly not worth $ 9. For that price I’m not headed back anytime soon. The fries were good but not worth $ 6. It was a little portion with big toppings. More worth $ 5 than anything. I get that things need to be priced high in order for trucks to make a living but a hotdog with carne guisada on it doesn’t warrant practically ten dollars. If I can make the same thing at home — I don’t want to pay stadium prices.

This food truck came to workplace and I saw the name and simply laughed! I decided to check out the reviews(as always) on Unilocal.I couldn’t believe all of the rave reviews… So I declared a cheat day for myself(I usually eat really clean). So my stomach won over my mind. I decided to order the Cowgirl, which is a hot dog, brisket, lettuce, tomato, pickles and bbq sauce. Delish! This was the best hot dog I’ve ever eaten, and I haven’t eaten a hot dog in 2 years! Too add to my indulgence I got the fried pickles too… They too were amazing! Can’t wait to see this food truck again!

This truck came to my workplace recently and we were thrilled for the convenience! Hooray for food trucks! Now onto the actual food: Hot dogs, all over the place, that are actually cheaper than the side offerings. Being the good Texan that I am, I had the cowgirl, a hotdog with brisket, lettuce, onions, pickles and sauce. While I wished for more brisket in there, the pieces I had were tasty and after all, it was like $ 5.50. They also sell the standard Austin drinks — Mexican coke and TopoChico for a couple bucks. I really appreciate you the part where you can upgrade your hotdog to ¼ lb for $ 0.75 more. BONUSROUND! You get the thoughts of my coworkers too! Coworker A thought«the hot dog is average but the creativity in the toppings was there — the tex-mex was excellent»(he may be new to Texas but not new to Tex-Mex, as he’s from the southwest) Coworker B thought the overall experience was decent — out of the FIVE he ordered the La Revolucion(wrapped in bacon) and Colonel Klink(brat and sauerkraut) were the best. Coworker C had an americana and a colonel klink and thought the meal was overall very good — he particularly appreciated the«meat to bun ratio». Overall? I’d welcome this truck back.

Checked out The Evil Weiner our first week after moving to Austin. Not sure if it’s always that busy down on that end of 6th street but it was the first weekend of SXSW(not a bad thing). Anyways my fiancé and I had the Killer Fries and The Cowgirl. The fries hit the spot for me. SOMUCH flavor and spice, you forget your eating french fries. The cowgirl was a hot dog that had brisket, bbq sauce, pickles, onions and shredded lettuce on it. Great combo, but the best part of the hot dog was the bbq brisket. Paid about $ 15 for the two items but it fed both of us to the point where we were full but not overstuffed.

MMMMM. First, LOVE the name. I had a blast telling everyone in the kitchen I was eating Evil Wiener(childish much. haha) Lets start with the Wiener. I got the bacon wrapped one. Had a nice crunch to it and really great flavor. 4 stars for sure! But the star of the show were the fried pickles! Soo delicious! I am so glad I checked Unilocal before making my selection(as any true Unilocaler would) because I was not let down! In a nut shell: Get the pickle chips and Bacon wrapped hot dog. Thank me later(or now, its whatever)

Hot dogs are such a common, and mostly boring, food that I feel like you have to be really SPECTACULAR to be successful at selling them. Maybe that’s why a place like Frank is able to do so well while many others have tried and failed? Evil Wiener does hot dogs, and overall, they do a good job at them. But they are not at a Frank level and never will be. However, there is one thing on their menu that I think is SPECTACULAR and unlike anything I’ve ever had before: The Tex-Mex Chili Dog. What makes this so special is carne guisada(in place of Texas chili) plus a bolillo roll for the bun. Plus, there’s a kick of hot sauce to give a bit of bite. It may sound all a bit odd, but it works beautifully together and is just an incredibly delicious fantastic take on the tried-and-true chili dog. If there’s one thing you must eat here, it’s this.

Great dogs and selection, but if I have to give any single item its own rating… it would be: 5 Stars for the FRIEDPICKLECHIPS! The Crew of Evil Wiener are a fun bunch and they do their best to make you happy. I have never had a wrong order and the things I did order, were always good. Note, I really enjoyed the La Revelucion Bacon wrapped dog.

I only ate their standard fries with the devil-powder on them, and they were damn good. You could say… satanically good.

I’d been ignoring the Evil Wiener truck, which comes to my work parking lot every Tuesday for the last several months… «Really? Hot dogs? Is this 7 – 11? How can they charge $ 4 or more for a hot dog?» But I go there now. I can’t tell you if their dogs are hand-errrr-filled(or whatever the industry term is), or how long the carne guisada on the«Killer Fries» is slow-simmered, or whether the pulled pork on the«Carolina» is smoked overnight or comes out of a tub from the Costco. All I know is I like what I’ve had. I’ve also never felt I needed more than one(and I have a large appetite). So I’ve never paid $ 10 or more for lunch there. Nothing is mind-blowing, but it is fairly creative. The«La Revolucion» is chock full of fresh onion and tomato flavor, and leaves my mouth with a nice burn. EW does keep me from burning additional gasoline and wear/tear on my car, and avoids spending the same kind of money on another boring sub sandwich. And I can get back to my desk that much faster!(half a star off for that) And Roger is a very personable owner. Is $ 4.50 too much to spend on a hot dog? Not for me. Open your mind a bit, enjoy the food, and don’t be such an evil whiner…

I finally got to try the Evil Wiener truck! My husband has eaten their food many times, since they used to come to his office complex on Wednesdays. Now they’re visiting my office complex on Thursdays! Anyway, I went with the Cowgirl — all beef hotdog, brisket, bbq sauce, onions, and lettuce.(I declined the pickles that normally come with it.) I also got a side of fries, and a Mexican Coke. All in all, a tasty dog. I like the toasted buns, and they didn’t skimp on toppings. They’re a little spendy… my meal was $ 10. It’s not something I’ll do all the time, but I’ll occasionally treat myself, I’m sure.

What girl doesn’t want a good weiner? No, not the Anthony Weiner variety, but rather the succulent beef filled variety. The Evil Weiner puts a Tex-Mex twist on the classic American hotdog. Roger, one of the owners, draws from his Mexican background and restaurant experience to create unique hotdog combinations. His passion and love for what he does shows in the careful preparation and presentation of the food that he delivers to you. Drunk or not drunk, lunch or dinner, the Killer Fries and Tex Mex Dog will satiate your killer appetite. If you’re feeling extra giddy, ask for the«cowboy up» for an extended weiner.
