Extra Space Storage

This facility is close to my neighborhood, so not only is it convenient, but it is also clean and very secure. Danielle was so helpful to work with; she quickly answered all my questions and made the rental process painless.

I have used this storage facility for a few years and had been happy with it until we went there a couple of weeks ago and found that a number of our belongings had mildew on them! I spoke to the facility manager and was told that because of all the rain we had lately that they were not responsible for the damage to our belongings. Also told me that because we had declined the insurance from them that they would do nothing except offer us another storage room on another floor. When I called the customer service line I was told that they keep the facility at a temperature range of about 55 to 80 degrees (don’t remember the exact temps). but that a humidity controlled facility was typically only offered in the northeast/​New York area. ??? I want to make sure future renters know what to expect and to learn from my mistakes! 1. Don’t put anything in here that’s valuable to you! 2. use lots of DampRid tubs! 3. get the insurance if you can! 4. Keep a close eye on your storage room contents. Stuff happens when you least expect it! Renter beware!
To say the least I am very disappointed in this place!!!

My experience with extra space has been great from the start. The staff is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The place itself is very very clean. So glad I choose to use extra space storage for my storage needs.
