I’ve been going to Fasclampitt since before they moved to the newer location on Crosspark. Tom is always VERY helpful and I can usually find what I need here. If I can’t, they can usually order what I need. When Xpedx closed down, I started going to Fasclampitt exclusively for my paper and card stock needs. Glad I did!

Direct message to Fasclampitt in Austin: For the love of Jebus, PLEASE update your address on Unilocal and… Hey– How about you put it on your«website»? It’s AUSTIN for crying out loud! By not taking care of these things you’re pretty much saying, «We don’t give a crap if it’s hard to do business with us.» I needed a large amount of paper product immediately and it was suggested I try this place. I drove to this 7801 North Lamar location listed here on Unilocal. The windows and door were covered by black plastic and one small message was taped to the door saying to leave mail with the property manager. There was nothing saying they moved, or closed or a phone number or anything. My trusty iPhone gave me the phone # and a man unapologetically gave me the new address. That new address(since you won’t find it elsewhere) is: 8220 Cross Park Drive; 78754. Don’t recall the suite # but the place is visable once you find 8220. Anyway, I went in and asked for the items. While the one friendly person there(out of 3 employees present) went to grab the boxes I mentioned to the man at the desk(Todd? «Tom» maybe?”) that I had a «difficult time finding the place.» In a typical«well, duh» sort of sass the guy says, «Well here we are.» Seriously? I said, «Well there’s not even an address on your web page. Unilocal’s address is old too.» A female employee was walking away from me as she casually retorted, «Yeah. We haven’t updated that yet.» As though it was just a minor detail for tech nerds or something? The only redeeming factors to this transaction was the friendliness of ONE nice guy(didn’t catch his name) and the low price they charged for my purchase. Those things gave the 3rd star. The crappy attitude both in person and online by the other employees ticked me off; thus, the lower score.

Their website may not be much, but I’ve always been very pleased with their fast friendly service. Good prices too. We’ve been using them for years(A Wild Soap Bar). They moved recently so now I have to find out where the new location is. I hear it’s a bit off the beaten path, but that’s OK, I’ll still seek them out.

I’m looking for paper and this is the top site to pop up online but their site is terrible! The only way to find out anything about it is on Unilocal! I would be they have what I need but there’s no way I would drive that far without being able to see for sure online. There’s only one review too so.… Maybe someone else will be able to give insight to a business that isn’t progressive enough to have a real website. Goodluck

Fasclampitt. Fasclampitt. Fasclampitt. I think I love this place mostly for it’s name. I want to adopt a pet and name it Fasclampitt just so I can say it all the time. Or I want to become a bird trainer so I can make parrots and african grays mimick the sound of this fantastic word. OK enough about the darn name. The folks that work here are just darn nice. Last time I was in here they only sold the paper I needed for laser printers but they are so helpful and honest if they don’t know the answer to your question. Think all shapes and sizes of paper(not really shapes, they pretty much stick to the rectangle but lots of bulk paper). Long story short after several attempts trying paper– they let me return it even though I had used a few sheets to test it. Their prices are great and they have good olé Texas sized customer service. Soo… back to the name… I asked them where it came from(because I’m a curious girl and all). They kind of collectively scratched their heads and then we all decided it was a play on the words«Fast Clamp It!» That’s what you do with lots of paper– you clamp it together, right? Oh well. We all had a good olé hillbilly/blonde moment.
