Firestone Complete Auto Care

I was told I would need to wait one hour and a half for a battery replacement. Because my existing battery was on its very last legs, I decided to go ahead and wait. Over 2.5 hours later I finally got my battery.
Then I was told they would not accept my coupon for the same battery that was advertised. They said it was because the warranty was 1 year more. And they wouldn’t allow me the lesser warranty. Classic bait and switch! Out almost $ 190.00 and more than 2.5 hours of my time for a measly battery replacement job… unacceptable.

Been here twice just to get my tires rotated and balanced and without fail, this has been my experience.
Firestone: «Oh yeah, you had an appointment. It’ll be 30 – 45 minutes. There’s no one in front of you.»
…1 hour later
Me: «What’s the status of my car?»
Firestone: «Oh, they haven’t started your car yet. Let me go see what’s going on.»
Firestone: «Yeah not sure what happened. You’re going to be next.»
It might be free to have my tires rotate and balanced… but at what cost? Just going to pay Audi the $ 60 to do this from now on… at least they give you a new car to drive around town.

Been here 2.5hrs for a simple tire rotation. Currently watching the mechanic working on my tires take a break to text for about 5 – 10 minutes. This place is the worst!

I booked my appointment online, they sent me an email confirmation of my appointment. When the time came closer to the day I booked, they called to confirm the appointment with me. I needed to reschedule, they were really nice about it and they were able to accommodate me. The day of my appointment I was late arriving, I did call them to let them know. Again, everyone I spoke to was SUPER understanding. When I arrived I didn’t have to wait to check in, everyone who worked there spoke to me, and was really friendly. I got two tires replaced and a new battery. They did call and recommend that I get two other services, I declined and they did not force me or make me feel bad about declining the services they recommended. When my car was done they called me and let me know. I dropped my car off at about 12 noon (an hour after my scheduled appointment) my car was ready by 4pm. I was not able to make it the same day to pick my car up, they called me and let me know that they were going to lock the car up and I could come and pick it up anytime the next day. I came the next day, and the same girl who checked me in also checked me out. She was really nice, I will definitely be bringing my car back for other services. It was absolutely convenient, and they were extremely professional and courteous!

DIdnt charge me after they knew they couldnt fix what was wrong with my car. I really appreciated that and they guy apologized several times

Been here as a walkin from out of state. Everyone has been fair and has a not going to rape you vibe. Don’t get me wrong dropping a half weeks pay is hard to
Digest but than again so is dying in a car wreck or being stuck in BFE Texas

Not even impressed, I was just told they would not work on my truck today because one of the two tech they have working wants to leave early. All I need is a oil change and they are open for two more hours. Business must be good for them to turn people away. Good job!

I’d like to debunk a lot of bad reviews about Firestone on Mopac. I went in today to get a problem resolved. After looking at the car they came to me and told me that there was nothing wrong and nothing needed to be done at the time. Not only were they professional, they were honest and trustworthy. I will definitely go back.

Tommie was a great help working with me on the price of my tires and services need for me vehicle which made the experience this time around not so bad. I have had numerous issue with Firestone and the past and swore I would never go back to one again but this time was most definitely different. Even though the tech did not place the required paper mat and plastic seat cover in my truck before hopping in he did do a good job with the install and alignment. Thanks Tommie for the assistance!!!

They’re creative though, I’ll give them that! Somehow homies found a way to damage my muffler while changing tires and oil.
Overpriced tires and oil, at that. When questioned on the subject, the manager made a halfhearted attempt to investigate what went wrong as the mechanic who did the damage shrugged.
I’d drive my baby off a cliff before bringing it to these guys ever again.

I wish I had thought to look here for reviews before I used this location. Total garbage.
Don’t trust them. They didn’t provide any of the service that they claimed to have done on my truck. They quoted me 90 minutes when I pulled in. 4 hours later, it was finally ready to go. I’d say it was done, but nothing was done. My oil filter is still the one that I put on there, not their house brand. I highly doubt they even changed the oil, so they probably just kept the $ 100 worth of oil that I had brought them to put in there. The tires weren’t rotated, and it wasn’t aligned as I had asked. Total ripoff scam shop. Half the time I was waiting, the service guys were standing in the lounge watching the football games. The guy checking people in, only wanted to talk to people about going out and drinking, or his new car. Nobody bothered to do any work in this shop.

Came for a brake special. They installed them fine as far as I can tell but they left my truck a mess. Grease on my radio knobs… why? They also pulled my stuff out of my glove compartment and left it laying on my seat… Also, the manager, Ray, acts like he hates women or has an anger problem or something. Everytime I go in he’s kind of rude and honeslty has a jerk way about him… as if he’s too good to be working there or something. IDk, I would go back for the service but dont expect to be treated kindly. The other manager, a black dude, was very nice… genuinely greeting customers and had a nice disposition.

I have been to many other Firestone locations, and this was by far my least favorite. I thought that the staff was unfriendly and unsympathetic to A wait time and that was far longer than quoted

We have taken many vehicles many times to many different firestone locations, to our surprise the overall quality of the tires we have bought is disappointing. The last straw at Firestone was the tire manager at this location talking down to us about how the tire warranty’s work and what exactly we had to do to preserve the life of the tire as the driver. The next time we feel a need to be preached to will go to a proper Sunday service. In the end the tires were switched out under warranty and the puffy tire manager settled yet never offered an apology for his overbearing approach.

I have had better experiences at other Firestone locations. The techs installed new tires on my vehicle that had rain water inside the tires. They installed them, water and all. This caused some balance issues and I had to take the vehicle back a second time. They corrected the balance issue, no questions asked, but, if that’s the level of attention and proactiveness the techs have, I am suspect of other types of service where the concequences of lazy service would be less obvious. They also damaged a sensor in the process of installing the tires. This issue is still outstanding after two visits to the shop.
I had similar experiences as some of the other reviewers. Amanda is always courteous. Also the last time I left my vehicle there, it was as if someone had gone through my glove compartment and dumped everything out. Some items were put back in the glove compartment; others were left on the floor or other spots.

First, let me begin by saying Amanda the service manager is awesome! I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma and 2 weeks ago the AC went out (blowing hot air). I have an extended warranty on my truck. Firestone was an authorized repair facility from the warranty company. I chose to take my truck here because of all the great Unilocal reviews. The dealership had really bad reviews & I had a bad experience with Charles Maund Toyota in the past. The warranty company can be challenging to work with but Amanda assured me she would make sure I was taken care of. She was a trooper in the end and got my truck working with nice ice cold AC again (way to go Amanda).
Why the 2 star review? Well, the repair techs trashed my truck. It took me over 2 hours to detail my truck when they were done! They took all my stuff out if the middle console which has a lid on it & literally threw it all in the back seat area. My CD’s, pens, chargers, and so forth were thrown everywhere like someone ransacked my vehicle. There was oily grease all over my gear shift area, my steering wheel, all over the doors, the hood of my truck, and all over my windshield inside & out. There are also oil/​greases foot prints all over my floor mats. I’ve been to many mechanics and have never seen someone trash a vehicle like this.
Summary. .. Great mechanical work but be ready to detail the living day lights out of your vehicle when you get it back because who knows what kind of shape it will be in. Will I go back? Maybe but I will be very poignant about telling them to not trash my vehicle.

These guys are great. I have done tons of work on cars and know enough to understand what my cars and trucks need. They never recommend work or parts that are not necessary and the prices are very fair. I will be back for all my maintenance and tire needs. Thanks Ray see you next time!

Amanda, the service manager, is phenomenal.
I went in to buy two new tires. Mechanic discovered separation in a third 5 year old tire. Instead of upselling me, Amanda called Discount Tire, where I’d bought the faulty tire, explained the problem, told them I needed a free replacement and a deal on a fourth. And Discount gave me exactly that.
I’ll definitely go back, as long as she’s working there!

Came here to get my alignment and two wheel bearings replaced. Spoke to Tommie, the sales guy, who was very friendly and chatty — and he said it could be done that same day. I get a call and surprisingly, in a few hours my car was finished!
I start to drive my car away and it’s even LOUDER than I brought it in! I turned around and had to go back and explain to them that something was still wrong with the car.
Tommie apologized and offered me a free oil change for the inconvenience of having to bring the car back. +1 star for that!
I wait for about an hour while they check it over and they assure me that they over-​tightened the wheel bearing on one of the wheels and all is good to go.
So I drive off again. My car feels great! Much quieter and smoother of a ride. I get to Parmer Ln. and suddenly lose control of my steering — my front left tire is literally SMOKING!
I pull over to the side of the road, and call up Firestone and speak with Brian who gives me a number to a tow truck and offers a rental car for me to use free of charge.
Two days later my car is finally fixed — and when I come in they are super apologetic and even test drive it with me around the lot to be sure it feels alright. They offered a $ 100 discount in addition to the free tow, rental car, and oil change for all of the trouble.
Normally I wouldn’t give an experience like this four stars, but the way they handled it — at a business standpoint — was very well.

I do a lot of my autocare myself, but for certain services you need a shop. I really don’t like to get the run around about extra parts I don’t need.
In this case, I was looking for a quick 4-​wheel alignment; The problem was, my corvette is too low to use a standard alignment rack. These guys have one of the low-​clearance racks that you don’t have to drive on ramps to use. Excellent for lowered cars. The best part was I also got my inspection done for a total of $ 113.
No muss, no BS, dropped it off picked it up. Done.

The staff is friendly and professional. I was able to set up an appointment a month in advance and didn’t have to wait to get my tires replaced and get my battery changed. The facility itself is new, about 1 – 2 years old. There is a seating area with a TV if you are the type of person who doesn’t mind waiting. There’s also a Chuck e Cheese’s next door if your kids are with you. Complimentary water bottles are available in their fridge.
One thing that made me give this location a three star is that on their website, they charged $ 99.99 for the battery I bought but they charged me $ 109.99 (every dollar matters to me). When I called them to see if they could refund me the difference, they told me I had to drive back there to sign some paperwork in order to get the ten dollars back. It’s a small price to pay to drive back but you’d think this paperwork isn’t necessary especially with merchants being able to refund your credit card remotely.
