They seem to raise the prices for some stuff during events at the Auditorium shores. A case of water seemed to cost almost double what it cost elsewhere. They also charge 50 cents for each bag if you need one to carry out your items. They of course do not tell you this until you pay. The lady has her hand on the bag waiting for you to ask. I would avoid this store based on that alone.

This place is horrendous. I was in a very big hurry to pick up some water for clients, 95 degrees outside and wearing a suit! Went in to buy 6 large bottles of SmartWater for $ 15, paid with credit card as I did not have cash. Asked for a plastic bag and the lady demands 50 c. Which is cool but I didnt bring my wallet just card, so I explain that to her but she just says no and does not care that I just bought 6 large bottles of water and can’t really walk with them back to the office. The lady behind me who was visibly distraught by the cashier/owners arrogance helps me out with 30 c. Which is all she had, and the rude cashier still denies me a PLASTIC bag. The kind woman was so annoyed she left and almost forgot her card at the counter. Luckily another man had 20c to spare so I ended up getting it but for real, it was a plastic bag to help me hold the items I just PURCHASED. It wasn’t like I was 50 c short on buying a product. How hard is it to spare a plastic bag at a store? I’m a big fan of pay it forward and do a lot of charitable and altruistic work but this just really ruined my day and was so damn rude. Thumbs down to this greedy and selfish owner.

Not a very welcoming place. The lady holds down the receipt while you are signing it as if you are going to run out with them. It is a bit overpriced as well.

Don’t ever go to this place. The owners are rude and the store is dirty. I pass this store everyday on my way back home after riding the Greenbelt on my bike. I have attempted to purchase a Gatorade or bottled water from the store but the owner always screams at me and says $ 5.00 minimum. Since I am on my bike, I only carry my debit card. I have offered to use it as a debit card and enter my PIN which means the store will pay ZERO in merchant fees but she says I’m wrong and that I have to purchase $ 5.00. Since I am on my bike I am not purchasing anything additional. Oh well, they have probably lost out on a couple of hundred dollars in sales since I pass by every day and they are the first convenience store on my route. In addition to this, the coolers are not cold and the place is very dirty. Since you’re on Barton Springs in between S Lamar and S 1st, you have plenty of other friendly, clean options. Keep going to the next store and you will be glad you did.

Very clean, well lit store. A little of everything you might need and convenient to both neighborhood and park, as well as a fast stop for wine etc after leaving the Long Center. I did find it a little odd that Coke is in the front coolers and Pepsi is all the way around back.
