Flores Victor Construction

Victor does good work at reasonable prices but unfortunately is not reliable.
I used Victor over a year ago to do tile work, painting, and other assorted odd jobs. There was an issue one day with transportation that delayed the crew for several hours. Unfortunately I had to make calls to find out where they were, instead of them calling me to let me know what was going on. I was willing to overlook that since there were no other issues and I was satisfied with the work
Fast forward to now. Victor came out to my home last week for purposes of providing me an estimate which was never forthcoming. We had agreed upon a Thursday and Friday for him to show up to do the work. When he did not show up the Thursday morning, I had to make several phone calls only to learn that he was not going to show. When I asked if he could start work Friday, he stated he could not come that day either and he was not flexible when I offered him the option of completing the work on Saturday and Sunday, stating he could not work on Sunday. I never received an explanation as to why he was unable to work on both of the days we had previously agreed on; Victor only kept repeating that it was «unintentional.» That may be, but at this point, after rearranging my schedule to have this work done, I don’t care about intent– I need a professional that will honor his word, keep careful track of appointments, and be flexible with the customer when he is in error.

Hmm… I had highest hopes after reading the other two 5 star reviews. I called u, p left a message explaining my need for a fence replacement, and sure enough, did get a call back from the wife the same day.
We set up an appointment for the following Tuesday morning. Then on Monday she called back saying he would be delayed and wouldn’t get out until Tuesday afternoon, and promised a call with an estimate the same afternoon.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday went by… no call from anyone. Finally, on Friday, 4 days after the promised visit, I placed another call and left a message asking what the holdup was.
Now it’s Tuesday the following week and I have had no response at all.
I dunno… maybe a family member died, or their house burned down, and they just couldn’t find time to get back to me. But at this point I guess I’m just going to assume the worst (for a potential customer), and write these guys off as just another bunch of flakes posing as legitimate business owners.
For me, I don’t give a damn about what a wonderful job they might or might not have done in the past. The lack of basic human courtesy and consideration seems all too common these days, but for me it’s a definite deal breaker. I want to work with people who follow through with their commitments, and exhibit basic person-​to-​person common decency.

Id be excited to write another glowing review for this company but…
I called and spoke with Mr. Flores gave him the details on what we were looking for, he was a very pleasant person over the phone. He requested I send him my personal contact info and the address via text so that he may get it all figured out when he was not driving. I did so and have yet to hear back from him or anyone in his company.
We even set up a tenative time to meet, he did not call or show that day either.
I was very surprised at this after such great reviews.

VICTOR FLORES ROCKS! It has taken me forever to get to Unilocaling Victor Flores so pardon my tardiness. My boyfriend and I bought a house last summer and we hired Victor to put in new hardwood floors and a 18′ x 24′ deck and we could not be more pleased! Victor and his right hand man, Frank, were like contracting angels! They did an outstanding job! A year later we have finally sealed our super fine cedar deck and it looks so great. Everyone that comes to our home comments on how pretty it is.

We first Hired Victor do do a fence for our back and side yard. His bid came in slightly lower than the other big companies and I took a chance at hiring him. I’m so glad we did. The fence job ended up entailing a lot of little extras, we had to have special removable gates, the job had to be done in sections, and we had to get a 24 ft trailer behind it. Victor not only did a beautiful job on the fence but he also skillfully got our trailer into a very tight space, and then finished off the fence job. Since then, he noticed that we needed a lot of other little stuff done around our house and said he could do some of those jobs as well. So far he has done some tiling, and we will soon have him do some more outdoor work including fixing some problems we have with garage and walkway flooding. I’m confident his plans for a semi french drain and sump pump will be the right answer.
In addition to being very capable and skilled, I also find him to be very easy to work with, personable, direct, honest. I’m very happy to have found him as I now have someone that I can call for just about anything around the house.
