Surprisingly great and healthy lunch special. 8.95 for their sliced beef and soooo good.

Fast, fresh, & healthy! Delicious house made lemonade and teas. So happy we listened to the other Unilocalers! I had the chicken salad roll and lentil soup, husband had 8 oz chicken w salad. Excellent service, but best of all, really flavorful, healthy food! We will be back!

Beautifully prepared, tasty, healthy fresh, fresh, fresh made food. Yes it does take some time to get, but worth the wait. Yummy homemade dressings/sauces. If your used to larger portions of meat; however, you will be disappointed. It did inspire me to make my own fresh dressings and use more color and fresh sprouts in my own salad creations.

I’ve been here once but so far it was very good and very unique. This is probably not like other restaurants you’ve been to. Pros: * Interesting food with a unique presentation * Quite good overall Cons: * The menu is so odd, it lends itself to real confusion when you arrive. You’re going to need help from the waiter/waitress. * Vegetarian-limited. There some(not much) for the non-meat eaters. * Allergies. I asked them to take out an ingredient I’m allergic to but it looks like they just subtracted it from the existing plate. I still had a(minor) reaction. I wouldn’t take a date here unless he or she wanted to try something different.

Normally I’m a skeptic, especially when there are a plethora of five star ratings in a review stream. However, these are well earned and deserved. This is perhaps the healthiest restaurant I’ve found in this northern Austin area. The environment is very basic and more tailored to early dining. However the food is delectable. It’s a «mom and pop shop» so service can be a little on the slow side but well worth the wait. Remember, it’s far from«fast food». Items such as fresh fruits & berries, fresh vegetables, beef, chicken, seafood and pork, can all be found under this roof. There is also a very nice assortment of fresh sprouts. Which they happen to grow themselves. The dish presentations are truly picture perfect. They’re colorful and meld into fantastic flavors. This location will not be a stranger anymore. I should have my name on a chair soon.

I actually heard of this place from a friend who lives nearby that noticed that one of the spots in the large and mostly vacant strip mall had a new restaurant inside. Well, being the nosy types that wifey and I are, we decided to go check it out. Yep, we were definitely not expecting the experience we ended up having on our visit there for lunch. Fresh Heim is very focused on healthy food and its prep, which isn’t something we generally seek out necessarily, we are not against healthy … we simply aren’t seeking it out. Wonderful surprise though, everything we had was really good to great! I had the sirloin cooked medium and ended up eating that without the provided sauce on the side because the flavor of the meat itself was just so good. It was perfectly cooked as well. I even ate the bit of asparagus served as a garnish and last I’d checked I didn’t even know I liked asparagus. She got the shrimp and raved about the taste. We also got the veggie fruit salad option and everything tasted very fresh. The veggies were well steamed and the fruit was very fresh. The service was perfect and they were very patient with us on the ordering process and seemed genuinely interested in our experience being a good one. The location … not so easy. This place is definitely a bit hidden, especially being in such a deserted strip mall, so I really hope they can make it last, it deserves a decent shot at success.

A vegan, a low-carber, a guy who doesn’t eat red meat, another guy who mostly eats red meat, and a very picky eater walk into a restaurant… Team lunches can be a challenge, when you have folks of different dietary needs/preferences. It’s tough finding a place with a menu that doesn’t alienate one or more folks completely(«Don’t whine, vegetarian! That BBQ joint we’re going to has potato salad and cole slaw for you to eat!»), or that is so broad it can’t possibly be done well. So, when a new person joined our team, I went on a limb and called a «welcome» luncheon at Fresh Heim. It certainly wasn’t where I expected it to be: In the shopping center at Lake Creek and 183, next to a liquor store and«Cici’s Pizza», across the lot from the«24 Hour Fitness». This is the kind of «ladies who lunch healthily» place serving food that would be at home in a day spa in Westlake. But, ummm, instead in a parking lot with a «Cici’s Pizza». They quickly sat our table of nine, with staff smiles all around. We were a little confused between the sauce choices for salad, and the sauce choices for our proteins, but the wait staff met us with smiles and patient answers. Folks still got a little caught off guard by the purple tint to the rice(expecting plain steamed white rice), and the piles of vegetables in the«salad». Just having everything on one plate was a surprise to some. I purposefully kept my pics as clean and unprocessed/unfiltered as the food I was trying to show. But, our diverse group all seemed to have no issues devouring the food. And even I didn’t feel hungry at the lunch option. There are larger dinner portions to choose, if you think you might have an issue with portion size being too small. Clean, fresh, and healthy. Service might be best described as «relaxed». My medium-cooked beef was tasty. The tofu option was popular with our two vegetarians, as was the chicken with a couple others. The American in me wanted to ask for more dressing for the salad(the peanut pecan was great), but I didn’t. The Red Pepper sauce was a hit for those that like a bit of kick. It looked like a great stir fry(especially with the«noodle» option, the japchae comparison made in another review is apt), that just never got stirred/fried. And in a good way. As we left, the female chef wished us farewell from the back, and all I could do was smile. If the Jokhang Temple in Tibet has a cafeteria, it feels just like Fresh Heim(in my head). EPILOGUE: Full disclosure, I did leave work at the end of the day to the nearby bar with a team member who desperately needed a large burger and curly fries(dipped in ranch) while I just sipped on my vodka press. ‘Murica.

Do your palate, your wallet and your body a favor. Eat here if you can say YES to all of the following: — I like steaks — I want to eat steak on a $$ budget, not a $$$$$ on — I could eat healthier, yeah — Restaurants that serve the freshest salad ingredients are few and far between — I read somewhere that the more colorful the foods are, the healthier they are — I expect good service This place is not party central but you can have a conversation without raising your voice. It’s immaculate. I bet the floors are cleaner here than the plates are at most restaurants. I enjoyed every single bite of, and aspect of, my lunch special. The owner, a nutritionist, came up with the portions. They are generous without being bad for you. I hope they make it.

If you’re doing a cleanse of some kind or just want to eat healthy, Fresh Heim is a great choice. Unfortunately for me, $ 15+ later for their lunch special(including tax and tip) and I was still pretty hungry afterwards. They are really really nice which goes a long way. I also like that they are health conscious and seem to use quality and fresh ingredients. The presentation of the food is clean and colorful too. Unfortunately this did not equate to filling my belly. Total first world problems I know, but that was my experience. I went with their Sliced Beef Steak & Fresh Salad and got it with noodles instead of rice. Everything seemed pretty basic and bland in flavor(especially the noodles). Nothing was bad, but nothing wowed me either. Plus, the portion of the beef was about 1⁄6 of the entire plate. It was tender, but again, not a lot of flavor to it. There really wasn’t much to bring me back.

After drooling over the rainbow of fresh flavors depicted in every single picture of this place, I finally had the opportunity to try it for a lunch meeting. The place itself lacks personality but it’s very(very) clear what they are all about. Fresh ingredients with an attention to variety and healthy supplements. I mean, you can get Spirulina here for chrissake. Lots of teas and juices available. No soda. You know, because it’s bad for you. I split the chicken roll(chicken salad in rice paper) and got the pork loin and salad with noodles. The noodles are sweet potato and tossed in sesame oil. The salad itself is piled high with fresh veggies and fruit. Pineapple, strawberry, grapes, red pepper, carrots, cabbage. Seems like all of your items come with a «sauce.» I had the mustard sauce as a dressing with the salad and we chose the peanut sauce for the chicken salad roll. The service was incredibly solicitous and they didn’t seem to mind that we parked it at the table for a while. If it weren’t for the real housewives of Cedar Park loudly opining on everything from herbalife to «getting in a good energy space» to «little lulu’s ballet drama» then it would have been a perfect lunch.

We weren’t sure what to expect here, it was a little bit of a weird vibe. Our waiter was a little pushy at first with getting us to order and then forgot about us, but it is a nice little space. They have a ton of weird messaging about the health benefits of their food and a little zen like décor but it was very clean. We got the lunch specials, I got chicken and honey got beef. I tried the sweet potato noodles which were good and he got the rice which was purple and also good. The red pepper sauce is just sriracha, and the veggies are all pretty good. It was nothing remarkable but my tummy felt good after eating there, honey’s did not… the healthy must not agree with him :-)

Healthy, fresh, and unique. This place is a great spot for a quiet and relaxing lunch. The owners are an sweet and really want to put out a quality meal for their patrons. I had the chicken salad with the sweet potato noodles. Lots of veggies so it’s a great salad. Super colorful. You just feel healthier looking at it. The dressing options are great. Get the iced tea. It’s perfect for this Texas heat.

If you want a healthy meal and large portions of it Fresh Heim delivers. Upon walking in I first noticed the signs near the front highlighting the nutritional benefits of ingredients that they use. What impressed me most was that they make all their own sauces and dressings and they are fantastic. They sneak in healthier options like spirulina and using stevia as a natural sweetener. They also pride themselves of serving cuisines without added sugars, no GMO, No preservatives and no tenderizers. We dined in at dinner at was surprised with the hardy portions. I ordered the 6 ounce grilled chicken with Teriyaki sauce, the salad with baked potato. The salad was deconstructed and had lots of fresh veggies, fruits and the mustard sauce for dressing that was served on the side was excellent. I really liked they had fresh slices of avocado. The small potato was just the hint of carb I was looking for and was perfectly cooked. The chicken was cooked well but I think I will opt for the mango sauce next visit. A few items I look forward to trying my next visit is the hummus rolls, lentil soup, calamari salad the fresh juices that they make(must pre-order) and their variety of teas with listed benefits. My visit didn’t go entirely smoothly because they were short staffed at the last minute. But I will tell you these folks were hustling and were genuinely apologetic. I appreciate what they are doing here and we are lucky to have such a place in north Austin.

I have to random thought this: 1. Think Odd Duck meets Buddhist Temple who adopts a Korean baby and puts it all on a plate. 2. What is it with mom & pop places in strip malls that make you do a double-take? 3. Think of every book & documentary reinventng nutrition during the last ten years, and then see it visualized here. 4. Ignore the Healthy Eats 101 poster boards and focus on the menu. Any reputable beauty/cleansing resort would be charging you a thousand dollars a day for this. 5. You’re not tripping, the lunch specials are ridiculously cheap. Who else is doing lentil soup? No timid pastels here, just bold vibrant colors. 6. If Jesus planned a UYE here, He’d go tofu. With the tea and juice options over the limited beer and wine. 7. If you ate at Fresh Heim every day — and nothing else — you’d never be ill or need antidepressants. I’m not sure how your psyche would cope. Your body will think it’s as good as it gets.

It just doesn’t get any fresher than this. Specifically the salad, strawberries, avocado slices and chicken in my meal today were as fresh as fresh can be. The spring mix salad looked and tasted like it was just picked from a garden out back. The chicken was fresh, tender, juicy, cooked to perfection and covered in a great mango sauce. The strawberries were fresh, juicy and tasty. The avocado slices — fresh. The noodles — fresh. Yup, everything was fresh and tasty. You will leave this restaurant feeling healthy. Really. There is nothing on the ingredient list that will bog you down, weigh you down or make you regret what you just ate later on. No MSG. No sugar. No gluten. No tenderizer. Just all natural stuff. I have a bad habit of frequenting protein heavy restaurants for lunch and then again for dinner. I will counterbalance those meals with a meal from here at least once a week. I’ll be back.

Exceptional Service & Healthy Food(Gluten-free) I was greeted upon entry, offered a menu and a seat for my To Go order. My server was patient with me and even allowed me to taste a couple of sauces to help me make my final decision. While waiting the owner Jay came out and let me know he had skipped my order by accident and offered me a tea. He recommended the Black Tea Lemonade. Man that tea was addictively delicious. I was taken aback by how good it was. I’m hooked and definitely will be lured back for tea. Jay returned and let me know he had skipped my order which delayed mine by 20 minutes. To make up for this he brought out a serving of chicken salad rolls and a ginger sauce dip. These tasted very good and they were fresh and definitely a healthy tasting experience. I recommend giving these a try with your order. For my main dish I had the teriyaki sauce on chicken breast with steamed vegetables with balsamic sauce, and sweet potato noodles. This came with fresh fruits. This were a very healthy dish, I’ve said healthy many times times, because that’s hard to pull off at a restaurant, but it want oily at all. Everything came together really nicely and tastes just as such. I get healthy meals at home, but it’s nice to know I have a go to spot when I want a change of pace. I will be back to support this restaurant. You can tell a lot of effort was put into the concept and they are pulling it off well. Standouts: Service and fresh tasting food. The décor is relaxing as well.

Very, very healthy… maybe a bit too healthy? I was still hungry after I left and ended up eating a second meal an hour later. To the point, if you are use to big portions or high calorie meals, this will not suffice. But, if you are limiting calories, this is the right choice. The protein/starch/vegetable ratio will make your doctor happy. The meat is well-seasoned and the veggies are fresh. The dishes, according to my husband, appears to be a modernized, healthy deconstructed version of the popular Korean Japchae. The dishes are presented beautifully and I like that you can get a healthy meal in N. Austin. For me, this place does heathy better than most. I eat healthy at home so when I dine out, I like to indulge so this is not where I can indulge.

Lately, Hubby and I have been in a world of first world problems. Coming back from wino vacation, going straight to work, going straight from work to house design meetings or HH friend meetings, we’ve been getting home late and tired everyday with no chance to go to the grocery store and stock our bare cupboards. So, we’ve HAD to eat out a lot or get take out, which makes our waistlines fatter and our wallet thinner. I never thought I’d be one to say«I’m getting sick of pizza». Travesty. So, last week when we had yet another late evening with the designer, I remembered reading reviews(and seeing the gorgeous pics) of this place. Finally, a tasty, healthy, affordable dining option near our house! Easy ordering and tons of food as well. We shared some edamame(coulda used more salt or seasoning), then he got the pork tenderloin and I the chicken breast, and both got the steamed veggie side. With your«side» you get another«side» option of carb, he got the noodles and I the potatos. I put«side» in quotes cause the«side» was a meal on its own, with steamed broccoli, brussels, and carrots, your side carb, fresh fruit and what looked like half an avocado as well. Both our protein choices were juicy and delicious(I was shocked at how flavorful the chicken was), but next time I would definitely pick the noodles over the potatos. When we went, it was pretty much empty and I hope that will change soon. The two servers(owners?) were super nice and courteous, if a bit hard to understand. I was a little disappointed they had no seafood on their menu as I’d seen pix of it on their website, but they are working on incorporating it into the menu, so I look forward to returning for salmon or scallops(esp with that teryaki sauce!). I have a feeling this will be a regular spot for us in our busy lives right now. I’ll be double fisting the wine and detox tea at the end of a long day.

The food is good, the place is nice, and the owners are kind. Give them some business! I went for lunch recently and was the only customer the whole time! When my order arrived, sliced beef steak with steamed veggies and rice, I was amazed at the amount and variety of food that sat before me. Everything tasted good, and it definitely seemed healthy(I mean, it was mostly rice and veggies). The sides that came with it were really good too. No idea what they are, but I liked it! Owners were really nice. They said they opened recently, but did not advertise, so business has been slow as of late. Definitely worth a try!
