This is a great new addition to the Hyde Park/North Loop area! These are some of the best breakfast tacos I have had in Austin. The chef has innovative ideas for his tacos and doesn’t make just the traditional taco you’d find anywhere. The ingredients are quality, fresh and the service is always friendly. Their picnic area is dog friendly and is always well kept and clean. The only negative to this place is the hours haven’t been very consistent lately.(Thats a negative because these tacos are just that good!) I haven’t been for dinner yet but am looking forward to giving it a go!

You gotta give these guys credit. Very inspired menu. These folks are yearning to serve amazing French cuisine. Circumstances currently have them working out of a trailer. The quality screams that this is a temporary setting. Let’s say you recently moved to Austin. Go eat here now. In the future, when these guys have a tv show and the governor has his wheelchair parked in line for four hours outside their Clarkesville brick-and-mortar operation, you can lord over the newbies saying you ate their food when they served it from a trailer next to a convenience store. Pro tip: get a bottle of wine next door or bring your own.

Absolutely in awe of the high quality food this place is serving. The chefs are creative, and serve food worthy of a high class restaurant. It looks and tastes classy, and the atmosphere is lovely. There’s just something special about eating a beautifully arranged cheese plate at a picnic table. Amazing, and from a food truck! Let these guys make a recommendation for you, you won’t be disappointed. Definitely worth coming back to!

I really like what this guy is doing and I appreciate having him in the hood. However, he’s routinely not open when the hours listed on Unilocal say he is. So, for people like me who walk or ride bikes over — don’t count on finding them open. It’s a crap shoot.

Just tried this place out. Completely pleasing experience all around. Got the shrimps and grits, which were phenomenal(shrimp was cooked and seasoned perfectly, grits were hearty, without being a greasy mess). The guys working there were friendly, helpful, and accommodating about our portions and requests. BYOB+reasonable prices+timely service+delicious food+rotating menu= this is a no brainer ya dummy. It’s all outdoor seating, so try em now while it’s feelin nice outside. also I don’t understand how, but the butter on the bread was uniquely good. It’s like what butter was always supposed to be?

Disclaimer: I’m French, and I really love food. Especially French food. So, I’ve been abroad for a while, and whenever I see a new French place, I want to try it. Except that I’m afraid to be disappointed, like always, and then sulk for the entire evening and be upset someone dares compare that food to the greatness of my home country food. But not this time. It was awesome. It felt like home. We had the duck tacos and the veggie tacos, and even if it was not traditional French, it definitely had the French touch. Aside from that, the owner gave us exceptional service and was really attentive to our need. Will definitely come again!

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered the Shrimp n Grits and found not one, but TWO hairs in it. When I spoke to the owner about it, he didn’t take any responsibility. I didn’t want a free meal. Just a different entrée. Can’t believe how rude he was being. This was no way to run a business and treat customers. I made a Unilocal account just so I could leave this review because I was that upset. I’m sure the food would’ve have been great, but I didn’t get that far because of their blunt ignorance.

DONOTCOMEHERE. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to try the food because the owner Patrick refused to serve my BF and I for driving a sports car and proceeded to call me a douchebag. How in the(excuse my French) F*#$ does anyone think it’s right to own a business and treat people who live in the neighborhood for 15+ years that are supporting local businesses this way?! Not to mention he was on the side of his food truck drinking a bottle of wine an hour before closing. Sorry your miserable and I’m not.

Delightful quirky cook/owner that does some serious cooking at a great price. I came for breakfast and was blown away by the duck confit breakfast taco. I will definitely be back for dinner.

A colleague brought one of the first batches of Garçon’s breakfast tacos to work. I chanced my allergy to eggs to try both the pinto and roasted vegetable(as my co-workers(vultures) already gobbled up all the duck ones.) both were very flavorful though the corn tortilla fell apart right away with the pinto breakfast taco. More thank likely this wouldn’t be a problem if you ate on location as the travel time increased the fragility of the shell. the roasted vegetable one was very delicious. All who tried the duck tacos said it was a unique, flavorful experience. Yum Yum!
