Gebby’s BBQ & Catering

Good brisket, beans, cole slaw, and sweet tea. Very helpful staff, plenty of outdoor seating, but just a little pricey for disposable plates, cups, and utensils, but still better than Rudy’s.

In a city with lots of delicious BBQ this place really stands out. Great food served by great people! My brother-​in-​law visiting from out of town made sure that we bought some extra brisket to take home.

Great BBQ! The brisket is tender and juicy and has a great flavor. The sausage is not to greasy and has perfect spice! And as for the ribs, well boom! All baby back! Doesn’t get much better than that! Plus service is outstanding! Will definitely be coming back!

I’ve known Chris (Gebby), for quite awhile so I am fully aware of how great his barbecue is and yes… It is great! Actually… The brisket is the best you will find anywhere. Now… Something that you probably don’t know… Gebby’s makes the best, most succulent, juicy, slow-​smoked, peppered turkey breast on the planet. I had a dilemma where I was asked to bring smoked turkey to a Christmas party. I called Chris and asked if he had smoked turkey breasts before? He said «bring it… I’ll put it on the pit and it will be great!» (It is not currently a menu item). Wow… He was’t kidding! It was the best turkey breast ever! I can’t thank Chris (Gebby) enough. The turkey breast was devoured immediately. It was the best dish at the party. I sure hope that he adds turkey breast to the menu because like everything else that comes off of his pit… It is a winner! Chris is truly one of the best barbecue pit masters in the world. Thank you Chris for bailing me out and preparing the awesome smoked turkey breast. Please consider adding it to your regular menu. All the best… Jeff K

Holy Smokes! This is the BEST BBQ I’ve ever tasted. Brisket was perfect and moist, even with very little fat visible? How do they do this? I used to go to Franklin’s & stand in line for over an hour. Never again! This is WAY better than Franklin’s. They sell out of the most popular (chicken & ribs I’m guessing) often, even being less than a mile from Rudy’s (barf). As if that doesn’t say enough… I will never go to another BBQ spot as long as I can go to Gebby’s. Pulled pork was delicious, again clean and not fatty or greasy. I have yet to try the chicken, but I overheard the neighbors at the bench next to me say that was the best. Service was fast and friendly and the Midway trailer park was a Austin must see! I’ll take all my out of town visitors here instead of Franklin’s or Salt Lick from now on. Amazing!

This BBQ is as good as Franklin’s. Super moist brisket and the sausage isn’t greasy. Apparently, they are known for their chicken. That makes sense because they were sold out. Maybe next time.

Wow — get here before everyone else discovers this BBQ trailer in the Midway Food Park. Everything is good (I’ve had ribs, pulled pork, sausage and brisket plus sides) but the brisket really stands out. Perfect smoke ring with flavor all the way through and just the right amount of moisture. This guy knows how to smoke ‘em and the best part is no waiting in an hours long line — yet. The Food park itself is a great spot too.

My friend made this my first experience with Austin BBQ. Suffice to say, that it definitely did not disappoint. Where I’m from, one needs to put sauce on their ‘Q. No need for sauce here. The pulled pork and brisket are excellent. The sausage is my must-​have — spiced just right to dance smoothly on your tongue. Why can’t places like this exist in New England?

Tried them today for the first time and really liked it. I got the 2 meat plate with brisket and ribs and both were great. Beans and cole slaw were good as well.
I’ll be returning soon.

Yummy pulled pork. Got their meat plate with creamy corn and beans. The corn and the pulled pork were on the sweeter side, but I think that added to its taste.
Our friends liked their chicken sandwich too. Would definitely go back to try other items on their menu!

Okay, this was a crazy experience. Crazy good! We went to the Rusty Mule Food Trailer park in Dripping and were planning on getting something else but wandered over to the intoxicating smells coming from Gebby’s…and DAMN! My girl and I both had the chopped brisket sandwich and it was so good we had to stop ourselves from licking the paper! Really, I was a chef for 15 years and am a die hard foodie! I was blown away by how insanely tasty this sandwich was! We are now actually thinking of having them cater our wedding next year! You’re a fool if you don’t try this!
