Fun stop for Friday social dancing, though sometimes the crowd is a bit small. I love the music, mix of dances, and generally even number of leads/follows. Dancers are experienced and welcoming to newcomers!

This is a really nice dance studio. I happened to try this place when it was on my Classpass. The the hubby and I went to a newcomer nite w/lessons for west coast swing. The people were of all ages, the instructors fun and engaging. we ended up getting the newcomer lesson package with was pretty decent for one month unlimited group lessons at any of their locations and some private lessons. We’re taking lessons w/Ally. She’s helpful and on point with suggestions. We’re really enjoying the group lessons too. We chose not to switch on time and it was no big deal. Although I recommended switching because it helps you become a better lead/follower in that you can dance with good and bad leads/followers. the socials are great too. really fun and not too intense. there’s a variety of styles of music… but more of the west coast swing and two step because it’s the more popular dances.

My daughter has danced here since the week this studio opened, and I’m so grateful that we no longer have to drive to the Anderson Lane location. I don’t think that this studio has the range of more advanced classes that the north studio has, but that is changing with growing clientele. Great instruction, clean airy environment, and well organized. Two thumbs up from me.

We tried Go Dance South Austin for a walk in lesson and did not enjoy the experience. Prior to going we checked to see if you had to switch partners and were told you did not, however once the class started the instructor had the group form a circle and then switch partners every few min. This ruined the experience as we did not come to learn to dance with random people. We left after an hour and it became obvious that this was going to be the teaching style for the whole lesson. Very disappointing and misleading. ty6

I love the south location best… more room, less crowded, more professional looking dance floors… more of a chance to have your own music played during your dance lesson and less chance of running into other dancers while you are practicing. Also if you have paid for private lessons then you truly get private lessons. We love Hilary — she is very positive and encouraging, patient and wonderful.
