The staff was really nice and everything but it took us an hour to get our food(which was just sandwiches) and then another half hour for them to bring us our checks. After waiting that long I ended up getting the wrong order, but at that point it didn’t seem worth it to send it back I really hope they can get more organized/get a better system in place, I will try this place again in a few months when it’s less new.

Hitting the two-star button induced physical pain within me. But alas, honesty on Unilocal is why we all use it anyway. I found Good Juju after I learned that Greengos next door had packed up and moved north. Looking for a good salad, I walked into Good Juju and ordered myself just that.(Sidenote: the building itself is a bit confusing, but probably less so in the evenings when more people are populating the space. Also, there’s no good place to park.) I ordered the laguna salad. It took them about 7 minutes to put together, and they brought it out in the world’s tiniest box. Regrettably, I got back to work to discover that my salad had only about 16 pieces of greens, a few small chunks of avocado, and some tomato(plus I added tofu) – it was missing half the ingredients! To be fair, I did specifically request no bleu cheese… but I didn’t think that implied I didn’t want the rest of the veggies too! The salad, with those limited ingredients, was very tasty. The sambal dressing = delicious. The tofu was also great, but it seems like they took one small piece of tofu and crumbled it up into even tinier pieces of tofu. The overall cost coupled with the fact that I got half of a salad was disappointing.

Great location, terrible execution. I visited the Good Juju Café twice within a week because all my friends wanted to check the new place out. Unfortunately, my experience didnt improve any. The customer service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. On both my visits, the waitress seemed very unfamiliar with the menu and the restaurant in general. It took about 20 minutes for us to receive a cup of water and utensils. They somehow«misplaced» all the cocktail menus and the waitress recited a couple cocktails because she«knew it by heart.» When we were finally ready to order she told us we had to order off of a different menu because they weren’t serving a full menu after a specific time. The manager noticed our frustration and kept checking in on us. Both times, they offered me a discount because the service was so terrible. Probably won’t be visiting again anytime soon.

The service in this place is horrible. We were sitting there for over an hour and then our incredibly sassy and rude waitress told us that our food would take another hour. Instead of apologizing for the fact that we were waiting for food for over an hour and then finding out we had to wait another hour she was so rude and didnt offer us anything else. We immediately got up and left. I am sure the food here is great and i like the atmosphere but the service is ridiculous. Especially our one waitress who should be fired.

They seemed a bit disorganized on my visit, causing my to-go sandwich to ultimately take a full 40 minutes before receiving it. I was pretty understanding about it, but upon getting home and taking a bite of my vegetarian black bean patty burger, and realizing it was meat — it just wasn’t a very good experience. Especially after calling to ask about it, which led to being put on hold for 10 minutes, and then getting a busy line — and then calling back giving the busy tone again. I’m headed to walk back to ask about it now, but grabbing a quick dinner turning into a 90 minute ordeal just isn’t too great.

Service is friendly but so incredibly slow. Fries took over an hour and a half. This restaurant can’t take proper responsibility for being unorganized and slow. «It’s a new restaurant» can’t be a proper excuse for a near-empty restaurant to take 45 minutes to dish out a scotch and ginger ale. It is pretty damn ridiculous how slow and aloof the staff is.

C’mon man. I had high hopes for this place then my coffee took 25 minutes, my food took another 20minutes, but to top it all off my order was wrong. Other customers were even complaining about how slow the service was.

This little spot has so much potential, and I’m really glad I got a chance to talk to the eager staff about their plans for this west campus gem! Though they were out of a lot of ingredients off the menu, they were accommodating and friendly. I built my own bowl with chicken, mixed greens, seasonal veggies, and grilled tomatoes, topped with the sweet wasabi dressing. Though quite a small portion, this creation was pretty tasty and flavorful. I hope to be back when this business has a little more experience and organization. There is great potential for good juju so give it a try!

My wife and I are visiting Austin for the weekend and decided to stop in at Good JuJu. Amazing service and even better food. Started my meal with a cappuccino and then they brought out my food. One of the fluffiest and tastiest pancakes I’ve ever had. Then there was the breakfast bowl that had kale, sweet potato hash and spicy black beans. It was incredible, perfect blend of flavors… just hit the spot! Not to mention $ 2 mimosas.

Honestly wasn’t sure what to expect when my friend and I walked in, but I’m glad we came. The service was decent. Everyone seemed friendly and welcoming, just a bit relaxed. We sat ourselves down since we were maybe one of 5 people there. The waitress was friendly, but I don’t think she was super sure of what she was doing. Tried to ask for recommendations and clarification on certain dishes, and she seemed kind of confused. I ordered the build-your-own-bowl with steak, spinach, kale, and brown rice. My friend got the Chicken Fried Chicken Stack or something. Both cost about the same, but wow. Much regrets on my part. His food looked so good and filling. My bowl was, well, quite underwhelming. The ambiance was pretty chill, lots of nice décor and people just relaxing. Seems like a decent place, just have to choose your meal well. Might be back to try again in the future?

Tried good juju last week. Actually really really rad. Went to Sunday funday. $ 2 mimosa-Ed my face off and had a great chicken sandwich(super chicken, I think). Just what the hangover doctor ordered. Bartender hooked me up with an extra mimosa. Very friendly staff. Chef hung out with me at the outdoor bar. Thanks Juju! Keep doing what you’re doing

Pastries are delicious, but there chicken and potatoes are a bit bland(way over priced) … Prices are outrageous if they are trying to cater to college kids it’s just not worth it I recommend going somewhere downtown instead… Nice to try once if you are in the area, or if you are walking by and need a quick snack. Otherwise don’t think I will be back! Great service as well!

Service was pretty fast, but we were the only ones in the restaurant at 130 on a Friday. The décor was nice and the space was pretty good for a group. The bar is pretty long and there are TVs. For water, they have tap or basil cucumber infused water, which was interesting. We tried the Dope Fries, Jammin Rice Bowl, and the Fried Chicken Stack. Dope Fries were waffle fries with shredded cheddar and some barbecue sauce poured on top. Pretty mediocre. For $ 5, id say it was an okay buy. The Jammin Rice Bowl was advertised as roasted chicken with brown rice and Spicy black beans. The black beans weren’t spicy. The roasted chicken was like chopped rotisserie chicken and they served it with the bones in, so I had to spit out bones and tendons throughout my meal. The rice was okay. For $ 10.50, this was not worth at all. The Fried Chicken Stack was pretty good. Two Fried Chicken breasts sandwiching mashed potatoes. The potatoes were mostly bland, but that’s okay. The Fried Chicken was crispy and decently tasty. For $ 9, I’d say it’s an average value buy too. Overall, I wouldn’t come here again for a meal. It’d be a nice place to hang out, I suppose.
