I never find anything here, which is sad since it’s so close to my work. Try the other stores north on 183.

I like Nancy with the Good Assets financial program. She will go the extra distance to advocate for people. Other staff act rude and bothered when the ‘community’ want to be treated as individuals. They’ll alternate between talking down to you and attempting to call you mentally ill just for following their own internal grievance policy. I don’t think they like the human race very much.

The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that it’s small. But the service is always always top notch. They’ve got incredible prices, and a great variety of goods there. Love this place!!!

I attended the Transitions for the Future Symposium for my son who is 14 and is Autistic. I wanted to know what type of options he had when he because of age. I must admit, I thought his future was bleak, but now after attending the symposium and learning about all the different programs that all of those places had to offer. I am very impressed and I feel a little more at ease when it comes to my developmentally disabled son. I now know that he will be able to work independently and that there are many options for him to follow on if he so chooses.
The symposium was free and lunch was provided, there were many key note speakers including the Commissioner for DADS, a journalist from Texas Monthly and various other agencies providing information on medicaid waivers, estate planning, employment and housing options.
I encourage anyone who knows of anyone who is disabled to utilize these resources, they are there and they are very encouraging!

After having problems recycling computers and monitors with other places, it was so refreshing to deal with Goodwill off Metric, right next to Highway 183!
I drove up to unload the old monitors and the gentleman unloading everything for me and then even offered me a tax receipt! The unloading area was covered, so I didn’t get wet, while it was raining. And, there wasn’t any hesitation to take any of my items.
Just please be kind to them and don’t leave your stuff at their door, after hours. That’s totally uncool.
