We have worked with Grand Openings for years and have enjoyed the process each time. They have a great team — who has been attentive to the details of the custom homes we design. No project is completely smooth sailing, but when there has ever been an issue they take care of it.

We got 6 Kolbe windows from Grand Openings last year and worked closely with Sam Mynick to pick an affordable, eco-friendly, and historically sensitive option for our 1930 East Austin bugalow. The process was simple, timely, and professional. Communication with Sam was great, and he was very knowledgeable of the various product lines. Finally, Windell Smith, recommended by Sam, did a meticulous install. A year later and our windows have made a *huge* difference in our bedroom. It is much cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and less dusty year-round. The wood trim on the interior is beautiful and blends beautifully with the original woodwork. It is definitely an investment, but one we’d make again in a heartbeat!

I am very pleased with the products and service that Grand Openings has provided. My project could not have been as «Grand» without them. My salesman was extremely knowledgeable and helped me come up with the best product line to make the project turn out amazing, I went into this project not knowing that there was a difference in windows. I always just thought a window was a window. They are not all alike and the time to explain the benefits of each was spent educating me and I was able to make the best choice. The home has garnered many complements from my friends and family and I will definitely use Grand Openings for my next home, although that might be a few years down the road, we will be enjoying the views out of these great windows for a few years!

Want to reiterate the level of poor customer service, dishonesty, and lack of integrity demonstrated by Grand Openings. Two months later they are still jerking around my builder, making excuses as to why they cannot install locks they should have purchased and installed in the first place, and not providing information as to a reason they cannot install the locks or what is needed. Update: Grand Opening General Manager Dan Barrett just called me to state they are taking back their offer of installing the locks that should of been shipped with my initial 30K order. Wow, what another ridiculously poor example of customer service. I wouldn’t want Grand Openings or any representative to work on anything in my house if they paid me.

Very hit or miss on service and follow through. I’ll talk to a manager who is very helpful and follows up, but the sales rep I am asked to work with does not follow up at all and after multiple calls I give up. It seems that unless you are an architect or a builder they don’t really want to deal with you. Disappointing at best.
