Always friendly staff available to assist with any question or concern… the store is kept clean and organized and I never have trouble finding just what I need. The employees working behind the customer service desk always greet me with a smile and are quick to help my daughter who often wins the Instant Winner stick with her Buddy Bucks! Thank you for the great customer service!

I truly don’t understand the logic of this business plan anymore. Honestly, this used to be a great grocery store that I shopped at all the time. Then, it was an ok store that wasn’t quite as good as it used to be. Now, it’s like they actively took their old business model and put serious effort into making this one of the most ghetto stores in town. Hell, I’d almost rather go to the Rundberg location than come here again. Half their seafood counter was empty. They literally have NO olive oil. None. How the hell is that possible? Their selection of vegetables in their frozen section is unbelieveably bad, and really their selection of most things has gone completely downhill. Yet somehow, they have a giant store full of… something. On top of it all, their cashiers suck, they have no sackers, and the cashiers sack so badly that they just tossed one of my bags into the cart sideways so it spilled out. «Have a nice day!» «Seriously?!»

I am a regular HEB customer for years. I had shopped in many all across Texas and last Sunday was the first time I visited this store. I liked the aisles, are wide specially if you are handicapped, riding on a electric car can be a challenge. Very busy, a lot of students from Ut, including my daughter, shops there. Clean, good selection of items. I have HEB stores on categories. A, B, and C. This is a B becuase it has mostly of what you need in a smaller scale. Good prices and you can find your items becuase of the signs. Only suggestion for all stores– Put a plastic bags pole down where the meats and chickens are for the handicapped. Thanks to the black very tall young black man outside that helped get in my car. It was a good experience. I will be back

It pains me to give this place a second star. I do so begrudgingly. They made the produce section bigger. The coupons no longer block the main entrance. And they got rid of most of the extra s4! t in the main aisle.

This place is great. Good produce and a chase bank open late. Parking can be a problem… and there are not enough toilets in the bathroom.

Aisles too narrow; there are always in-store traffic jams. . And this store does not always honor manufacturers’ coupons, even when they’re clearly for the item purchased and for valid dates — where other stores routinely process such coupons manually, if a register scan happens to fail to recognize them, for whatever reason cashiers at this HEB do not. An annoyance I’d just as soon not deal with. . I’ll shop elsewhere.

Got food poisoning from one of their boxed salads. Also bought fruit and there was mold growing in the container. Will probably avoid fresh produce from this location.

This is a very busy store, and the pharmacy is just as busy. I have always used HEB for my pharmacy needs. Recently I went through 2 surgeries and I needed medication very quickly. Even though they were very busy they obviously knew that I was in a lot of pain and they were able to get all 5 prescriptions filled within 20 minutes. Always a very friendly staff, and they deal with sick people all day long and continue to provide friendly service with a smile on their faces. I feel like that they genuinely care about their customers.

Standard HEB. Descent selection of fruits and vegetables and they always look fresh and yummy. Small wine and beer area, but filled with enough of the good«common» brands to meet your needs. Lines are always long… always! It’s the closet HEB to campus and it definitely is filled morning, noon, and night with students. I wouldn’t recommend shopping at night though because the area still has a bad rap for not being safe during the wee dark hours. Hard to go wrong though with HEB. Their name brand products are tasty and so affordable! This location also offers fresh sushi and handmade tortillas.

I am only rating the floral department. The order I put in was for my bouquet on my wedding day. Nicole was great helping me find a vision but when my fiancé went to pick up the order it was evident that she didn’t write my order down correctly. All the flowers for the center pieces were not put into the order! And my bouquet looked different that what I had envisioned. I felt misguided and let down!!!

By far the best H.E.B. In Austin plus it’s great for guy watching. Sometimes I forget what I came here for

It’s a grocery store near campus and the closest HEB(still figuring out the HEB obsession as a transplant), so of course it’s busy all 24 hours(I think I’ve shopped during most hours). I’ve found the best time is around 2pm on a weekday, if your schedule allows it. The produce selection is fine, even if the quality can be disappointing. I’ve started grabbing from the restock bins(which are always around) most times. The worst thing about this store is the layout. Nothing is ever where you think it will be. I wander back and forth between the aisles every trip, even after shopping here almost weekly for a year. The pharmacy is good, if slow. I’ve been told half an hour, gone about my wandering shopping trip for an hour and come back to an unfilled prescription. But the pharmacists are always very nice and very helpful. Most everyone I’ve encountered has been helpful and kind(the exception was the cashier who I had to talk to after I left my phone at a checkout). TL;DR: crowded, meh produce but good selection, bad layout, decent but slow pharmacy, good people.

I love me some HEB bout this has so many people not enough checkers to check you out they were taking a lot of produce out the chef and the meat off the chef I don’t know if the coolest went out or what but it wasn’t a good look to busy

Grocery shopping is definitely not something I look forward to doing. However, it must be done. This HEB is 24 hours and very spacious. It has a wide variety of items, but it can get quite crowded in here. I just wish there was another HEB around campus to help with all the congestion at this location. The setup in this HEB is a little odd — I feel like I’m in a maze sometimes. In terms of cleanliness, this location could do a tad bit better.

Good selection, large layout, not super crowded. Parking was not impossible, the checkout line(at least the express line) did not take very long. Just wish they had a larger selection of cheeses!

Let’s see: the lines are always long because they don’t staff adequately, the employees are undertrained and completely clueless, the night stock shift starts at 10pm while the store is still full of people and hence stockers and their pallets of stuff are always in your way after dark, the self-checkouts barely work(and won’t scan most coupons, causing you to have a manager called, wait ten minutes, and ELIMINATETHEWHOLEPOINTOFHAVING A SELF-CHECKOUT), registers develop bugs mid-transaction, and the person in front of you in the«express» lane buying 116 items of frozen foods and soda with food stamps will inevitably make you miss beer carryout deadlines. Wait, that’s unless you’ve just moved here and have an out-of-state ID, at which point the 17-year-old cashier will refuse your 38-year-old self service, and then the manager will hide in the back like a coward and refuse to speak to you. Yep, that really happened. Dear cashier: I know that your parents told you some strange things while you were growing up, but Texas is not actually a country, and valid driver’s licenses from other states are, in fact, proof of age here. In better news, the beer selection is pretty good(although you can’t buy it for reasons mentioned above), the selection is broad(if marginally fresh for meat and produce), it’s centrally located and open 24 hours, and there are two Redboxes out front to improve your rental odds. It’s enough to round about one-and-a-half stars up to two: although this HEB is hard to avoid sometimes if you live in the neighborhood, the experience of shopping here is ubiquitously frustrating. Nevertheless, the Fiesta right across I-35(there are crosswalks for those on foot) carries nearly the same selection(plus a vastly better spice and cooking section), has stupidly discounted Tecate half the time, and features appreciably faster checkout times. And, you can get a giant straw sombrero there for gardening in 107-degree Austin summers. Do that instead.

One of my favorite H-E-Bs! This one is conviently located close to campus and has pretty much most of what you would ever need. The beer and wine selection is pretty good for an H-E-B and they have a pharmacy too! Just don’t mix booze with your meds, lol.

The Hancock HEB has always been a favorite shopping destination. It’s not as large as my normal HEB, but there are a few reasons why this particular HEB shines more brightly than most HEB’s. 1. The have one of the best produce sections of any HEB I have ever seen. Great selection and the produce here seems fresher than most. I would guess that’s due to a faster rotation of product. 2. The health foods/supplements etc. They seem to carry the widest variety of supplements and special diet foods. I suspect, this is because of the proximity to UT. 3. The beer selection. Faaar superior to my regular store… and thank goodness! If I had this sort of beer selection right by my house, I’d be the most unproductive person ever! Parking is ample and the store is easily accessible from 35. Service is always friendly and helpful. Added bonus… tons of stunning women walking around.
