My boyfriend and I left our adorable Frenchie, Guapo, in the care of Happy Mailman for about 4 days! We were definitely very pleased. We chose this place because of the high reviews and are glad we did! Guapo has a lot of separation anxiety so we were worried to leave him for a few days and the staff at Happy Mailman was more than accommodating. They even sent us photos while we were gone which provided me with peace of mind. Love that they update photos on their Facebook as well. Guapo seemed to socialize and really enjoy it there! Definitely will be out permanent dog boarding spot go forward.

Another great time for the girls at Happy Mailman (290)! Once again, they came home happy, clean and a little exhausted from all the fun. I never have to worry about their care/​safety. The people caring for them are awesome and truly seem to enjoy their work and care about the animals. Thanks!

My dog’s paws were significantly burned from the gravel they have outside during a several day boarding. Has anyone else had this issue at the South Lamar location?

Our dog stayed here last Christmas and is not the most social… in other words, he’s afraid of every dog he encounters. I loved that happy mailman provides pictures frequently so you’re able to see your pup in action and to help with the nervous butterflies I got when leaving him. Like magic, my dog was snapped actually playing with other animals! Success! He had a cut on his belly that required some ointment and the staff did a great job with that. I had boarded my dog previously with a veterinarian and he came home with a uti that took a month to go away. I was happy when I picked him up from happy mailman and he was healthy! That was a relief. I like that they allow the dogs to play and run around during the day, grouping them by size and temperament. My dog is tiny, so this eases some of my worry that he won’t get pushed around by bigger dogs. All in all I was very satisfied with happy mailman.

My landshark… er…puppy thoroughly enjoyed his day here. The staff were friendly and seemed like dog lovers all around. You’d have to be. There are alot of them. Big ones, small ones, short ones, tall ones, fluffy ones, crazy ones and even a few mellow ones. Mine would not fall into the latter
I wasn’t sure what to expect so I called with some questions and found out they do a free day of evaluation on their first visit. This is a win win. Not only do I get to see if it’s a good fit for my pup but they get to see if they want to deal with this 5 month old spawn of lucifer.
They gave me a tour and there are indoor kennels for nap time as well as separate fenced outdoor areas grouped into 3 – 4 different sizes of dogs. When I picked him up they said he did well and played non-​stop. He passed!
I know he had a great day as evidenced by sleeping soundly that night and even most of the following day. Ahhh! Blissful, peaceful, bite-​free day! There are gods and they are merciful.

I Love Happy Mailman and so does my fur child, Charlie. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and I feel that they genuinely have Charlie’s best interests at heart. She goes to daycare at least once a week and always comes back wiped out (in a good way) from playing. We have also boarded Charlie at Happy Mailman when going on extended trips, and again, she has always come back happy and tired. We love it and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, safe environment for your puppy to play!

My rescue dog was very afraid of other dogs, would become aggressive when meeting a strange dog. Her entire personality has changed for the better since coming once a week to Happy Mailman. The personnel know all the dogs, and keep a good watch on the interactions. I used to think that day care for dogs was silly, now I will tell everyone how valuable Happy Mailman has been.

The gentleman that we dropped our 5 month old off with was friendly and other dogs seemed to be excited getting there.
Just picked her up, she’s exhausted!!! They said she did great, and more importantly it seems like she enjoyed herself. We will be regulars.

My little Cairn terrier mix Aideen loves this place! Now when I get ready for work she waits for me by the door to take her to daycare. And she’s super snugly when I pick her up. AND the staff is awesome! They even post photos of your dog at daycare and post them so you can see how much fun your doggie’s day is.

My dog, Amber, has been going here for the past few months for day care. We both are obsessed! The staff is awesome, you can tell that they love what they do. They are very welcoming, and always remember all of the dogs names. I just left Amber here for boarding for a week, and did not have to worry about her for a minute. The best part is that they post pictures on their Facebook page of the dogs daily, so you can check in on your dog. They also offer grooming services upon pick up which is a great perk. Amber has so much fun, when she gets home she goes right to bed and I don’t see her for a few hours. If you want a tired well exercised dog, I would recommend checking this place out.

My little pug always looks forward to coming here when we have a trip. They do an amazing job keeping puppy parents updated with their facebook photo albums!

My dog loves it here! Whenever we drop him off he’s very eager to go through the back and play.
The staff all know him well and understand his needs (he is very hyper and isn’t crate trained). As such they put him in the large indoor play area rather than a crate which makes me happy because he gets very stressed out in a crate.
I also love that they regularly post pictures to Facebook so I can see the fun my pup is having when I’m away from him.
When we get him he is always worn out and sleeps good after all of the fun he’s had.
I wouldn’t board him anywhere else! He has been boarded for several days in a row and has also been to the daycare a few times and I have only ever had positive interactions with the staff and have always been happy with the care they have given my dog.
I would highly recommend them to anyone else who is anxious about leaving their pet!

We have two Bernese Mountain Dogs with completely different needs. One is 8 years old and one is a puppy. The staff at the LaMar location has been sensative to both of their needs and has helped continue our training requests for the puppy — for example making him sit at the «play door» before getting to enter. It is a work in progress but they are eager to assist. We only had one blip when the staff sent both dogs home with my husband so filthy they couldn’t be let into the house. So we now have a standing order to bath them before they head home if they get that dirty again. We pay for the quicky bath of course, but it is much more pleasant for Mom and Dad then having to provide a bath when we get home. They are going to be adding a grooming we have used at another location that understands Berner’s. We are very excited about the addition of that service as well.

Our canine baby (Daisy) is quite the little princess and we like to spoil her rotten. We have had the best experience with Happy Mailman. Daisy loves her weekly daycare sessions and comes home happy and exhausted from all of the play. We have also used these guys for boarding. As hard as it is to leave our pup, we always know that she is in good hands with Zach and the Happy Mailman team.
Highly recommend this place for socialization and great care for you pups!

This place is Disneyland for my dog. They take great care of my pug as if they owned her. We’ve been loyal customers of Happy Mailman for years now and we couldn’t be happier with them. She always comes home happy and wiped out from playing all day. I appreciate the fact that they return her uneaten dog food to you as to not waste any of it. One thing I like about this location better than the one on 290 is the location is much more convenient and you don’t get a super dusty dog when you come to pick em up. Highly recommended many times over.

I am writing another review since Zach bought the business several months back and renamed it Happy Mailman. We loved Joy and her team at P&J and were hopeful about the transition. It has been just great. Gracie is even happier to go to play school now and I know she gets socialization and attention during the day and she comes home tired and happy. We take her at least twice a week and we can really tell a difference in her behavior. Special thanks to Zach for helping during the transition and beyond and his great staff Leah, Kyra and I am sure others I have not met. I have not boarded Gracie yet but will in the near future and will feel great about her care while I am away.

We took our dog here for day care, and we were very impressed. We called the day before to get him in, and they were awesome. The drop off process in the morning was a cinch, which is great because we did it on the way to work. When we picked him up, they told us all about his day and how he did. The location is super convenient to where we work, so we will certainly use them again next time he needs to be out of the house. They have indoor and outdoor facilities, but they take the dogs in during the heat of the day.

We love Pride and Joy. Our puppy has been attending since he was old enough and looks forward to going. There are 2 other doggy daycares closer to our house, but it’s worth the extra drive. The difference I see with Pride and Joy is the structure. Our German Shorthaired Pointer puppy needs that, as they can be somewhat hyper. Joy’s methods of redirection work so well for Heinrich. Unlike some of the other daycares, Joy trains the dogs while they are playing and they receive constant direction.
I cannot say enough good things and highly recommend Pride and Joy!

It’s hard for me to believe that this place only has 1 review and I’m hoping more Unilocalers try this place out because it’s awesome.
I was really hesitant about sending my dogs to day care because I thought it was an unnecessary luxury but started having second thoughts after seeing my 2 dog’s aggressive and dominant behavior towards other dogs. I took them to Pride & Joy and I started seeing improvements almost immediately. I also thought it was great that she called me in the middle of their first day to give me an update. You can tell that the owner, Joy, truly cares about animals and she offers wonderful holistic services for your dogs such as aromatherapy and massages.
I’m going to start sending my dogs to her once a week and I can’t wait to see how much they improve. it’s $ 26 for a full day but if you refer her to a friend and they come in, you get a free day. If you go, make sure to refer me! LOL
