Two clerks there, one eating on the back(I could see him) and the other one was just a rude prick. I tried to get boots from here before, and I just didn’t get them because this guy is just so unpleasant. My better half got me my boots from here, had to come back to get a different size, otherwise I wouldn’t in a million years come back to this big ball of bitterness. No, just no. Too bad this is the only store(red wing) in Austin. I think.

Ricardo rocks!!! Thank you so much for your excellent customer service. We have a difficult foot to fit and you gave advice and information to help us decide on the perfect pair of boots! Exceptional customer service is what you will get at this redwood store.

Beware: at least one clerk here uses shady sales tactics just to get the sale! My boyfriend(who is very particular about shoes) found a pair he really liked here once. Unfortunately, he has ginormous feet, so they didn’t have his size in stock. The clerk kept offering to order a pair for us, insisting that it would only be a few days. At our request, he begrudgingly called another store in town, but they weren’t in stock there, either, so we let the clerk order the shoes. A week later, I called the store to see if the shoes were in yet. The same clerk who made the sale answered the phone. When I asked whether the shoes were in, he sounded really annoyed that I was asking. Ordered shoes take *at least* 11 days to arrive, he informed me. And then he tried to convince me that we had only ordered the shoes 2 days prior. Tactics like this annoy the crap out of me. I even called every Red Wing distributor within a 50 mile radius to see if they had the size and style my boyfriend wanted in stock so we wouldn’t have to see that lame salesman again. I was even willing to drive all the way to «Butt’s Dry Goods» in Thorndale, Texas if they had the right shoe. But to no avail! I won’t shop here again. Cool shoes, though. (edit: after being told three different delivery dates, it’s now two weeks later and we still don’t have the shoes!)
