Been coming here a few times a month since opened, service is always consistent and if there is ever an issue with the food, they take good care of you.

It’s an average experience. Just meh. Fish tacos are good, but I have no desire to have to go here.

Food is very average in my opinion. The best thing I have tried at Highlights is the pizza. Beer is very reasonably priced and the bartenders are normally solid. Mixed drinks are average at best. Cool place off 620 to grab a drink.

I «love» all these negative reviews. I guess I haven’t had a bad experience yet. My girlfriend and I live across the street so it’s convenient since we can walk over. While it appears that most negativity stems from the dining experience, I can speak positively from all of my experiences while in the bar. I’ve had many great encounters with Chris & Woody who have always taken great care of us. $ 1.75 Coors light all day, everyday… no complaints there. I’m a big sports nut so I love all of the tv’s to stare at. Oh and the guacamole burger is amazing.

I’ve always enjoyed the staff and the ambiance here, but the food is… Meh. Don’t come here for food, but if you need a place to catch the game, this place will do.

This place has great happy hour specials! Yay! Monday through Friday 3 – 7 that involve appetizers that are only $ 4.95 and margaritas frozen or on the rocks and titos vodka for only $ 3.25! What is better than that? How about Coors light on draft for only. $ 1.75 and what else? I’ll tell you, the service is great. The people that work there are great and always have done a great job of taking care of me and my friends that go there. For a sports bar and grill the food is absolutely delicious and reasonable for the price! That crab cake appetizer is seriously the best. I get it every time. I give this place a thumbs up!

This is our third strike with this place. The food is reasonably good, but not great. But the service is just so bad. Three times we had to go searching for someone … to get silverware, to order, and to correct our order(missing salad dressing). You get the sense that they are barely holding it together. This was actually an improvement from our prior visits. There is a reason, I guess, why Flores next door was packed and Highlights was about half full on a Sunday at lunch.

Decent food. Not remarkable. I had the crab cakes but I’ve had much better. Wings were breaded by default which I found strange. Service was ok.

Gave this location another shot as the manager was kind enough to send a giftcard to make up for our previous negative experience. I came back with my mom-same person I came with last time. It was a Thursday night, and the place was dead. We sat at the bartop and were promptly served by the female bartender-best service I’ve ever gotten at this location(her name was maybe Bree?). I will be sitting at the bar only from now on-she was friendly and helpful. We ordered the arugula pizza and margaritas, and were satisfied with the service and food this time. The only downside is the environment-I guess it was«too busy» last time but COMPLETELY dead this time. I appreciate the gesture made by management to make up for our first experience, and the pizza was fantastic. Translate your solid«dead night» service into your busy evenings, and you’ll do better.

NO. Chicken was dry. The ribs were so gross I tried a bit and I spit it out. Couldn’t get that narly taste out! Those are NOT good ribs! I got fries hell bent on being cold too. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Where’s the logic in a Pacifico and Stella being $ 5.50 each? Ridiculous.

Cold food, bad service, and managers that don’t understand how to resolve the problems. Need I say more?

This place is legit!!! I maintain a gluten free diet, due to allergies, and this place caters to our needs! Tons of GF stuff on the menu. Food is extremely tasty and well presented. Highly recommend:)

Update: Sit at the bar. The hostesses are just bad. Don’t bother interacting with them, just bypass go and get to the bar area stat. Tonight, our Tuesday regular for half priced gluten-free pizza goodness, I happened to have my youngest with me. I was promptly told that there was a sign that indicated no one under 21 was allowed in the bar after 7. Thank you little girl, I can read. And no, I don’t need a manager to explain it to me. Again, I can read. She then attempted to seat us in the vet back of the dining room next to another family. Ummmm, there was an ENTIRE empty dining room. Really?! Moral of this Highlights story, let the young girls up front just stand there and smile. Don’t try to interact with them or you risk a pissy dining experience.

There business hour is keep Changing. I’ve been there couple time at Late night after work. I called them to make sure their kitchen is still open. They said they will be close theirs kitchen at 12. So I arrived there around 11. But when I get there kitchen was closed around ten minute a go. So I couldn’t have anything. Service was okay.

I am super torn here. Service was AWFUL. I mean, like poke your eyes out please help me awful. Me and the hubs were giving each other«the look» as to say«WTF!» I got my house margarita and it really wasn’t that great. So why the 3 stars? The appetizers were AWESOME. I usually don’t like pickle spears(more of a chip girl) but these were amazing. Like we wanted 2 more batches. We also got some guac and queso and that was really good. Will we be back? I’m not sure. There are too many awesome places to eat to waste money somewhere with AWFUL service. But if you aren’t in a rush(we had a movie after, and drinks/apps took over an hour) or an inpatient person, give them a try.

I don’t usually frequent sports bars, but I like Highlights. It’s convenient and the food is good. I enjoy coming both with and without the kids. Highlights has a playground outside(another restaurant, Flores, is right next door and is also accessible to the playground). You could sit at an outside table and watch your kids or sit in the covered patio. The one time we sat on the covered patio, though, it was so loud that we asked to be reseated inside. We were near a group of enthusaiastic guys, but they weren’t really that loud… I think it was just the acoustics of the patio.(I could not even hear my husband talking to me from across the table). Service is usually good if sometimes a little slow. They serve popcorn instead of bread after you order. Last time we actually did not get our popcorn, and I failed to be able to flag someone down to ask for it. However, our food came out very quickly so it was not a big deal. They have a decent beer and wine selection. I can always find something nice to order. We have been for brunch a couple of times. It used to be a menu, but now it is a buffet. They don’t have their regular menu during brunch anymore, but they do have a smaller version of it(so if you feel like a hamburger for a Sunday lunch, you won’t be disappointed). I haven’t eaten from the brunch buffet yet(I just wanted a sandwich that day), but it looked very appetizing. I also love that you can get a desert plate of three mini desserts! I usually just want a taste of something sweet after a meal(if anything at all). The quality of the food for a sports bar is great. This is becoming one of our neighborhood go-to places to dine out.

Sat at the bar for a couple hours last night with a girlfriend. Apparently Friday nights are meat market/single mingle nights! Appetizers were good. Happy Hour ended at 7 so we ordered a couple drinks and apps before cut off time :) Bartender was on it! This is definitely a place to go to to watch games on tv vs GNO… As we were leaving, we stopped at the bathroom and the smell of sewer was so overwhelming! If I didn’t have such a long drive home I would have waited. An employee came in and I asked her and she said they have a sewer issue. If I would have smelled that before eating it think I would have left… It was pretty bad! Not sure if I will make the drive to go back… Checking out the Cedar Park location next time.

I’m not a fan of sports bars, but this place is convenient to our house, so have been here once for lunch and once for dinner. The food is surprisingly good – they have $ 8.99 lunch specials, and the portions are quite large. We ended up there for an early dinner yesterday, only to discover it was ½ price pizza night, so we each got a pizza. Wonderful! If you like thin crust pizza(which I do b/c it must be healthier…) you’ll love it. I got the veggie pizza, and the flavor was to die for. My husband got the pulled pork pizza and he loved his. Two large pizzas and the bill was $ 14. Wow. They also have a number of appetizer and drink specials for happy hour. My only suggestions would be more lighting(it was really dim in there) and a little less A/C, as it was pretty cool in there.

Highlights opened a week ago yesterday and still has the fresh new smell. They have a wrap around patio, large bar area and dining room. The dining room and patio seating are family friendly but a bartender shared the bar area is adults only. The patio is not dog friendly. The bar area has darts, shuffle board and NTN. I enjoy bars that also have activities so this alone warrants a star! We noticed Highlights was opened after catching a movie at the Moviehouse theater next door. We walked in and were greeted promptly. All the staff seemed well trained and knowledgeable about the happenings and menu. We decided to sit at the bar and a bartender named Chief served us a glass of wine and beer. The drink menu is endless and has spirits that would suite anyone. There is a wall of drafts which at least a dozen are Texas taps. The wine menu is decently priced and has several wines I am a fan of. There is also a specialty cocktail list with some of their own creations as well as some classics. The bar manager came here from Cru and one of the other employees(or managers?) worked at both Cru and Max’s Wine Dive. I think it is safe to say the quality of drinks they pour and make will remain high. The have a large food menu consisting of apps, salads, wood fired burgers, pizzas, entrees and desserts. Some of the appetizers like the pork belly sliders and beef tenderloin skewers look pretty good. The menu indicates which items are vegetarian and which are gluten free. We were not to hungry but decided to share a 10 inch veggie pizza. The veggie pizza had roasted tomatoes, artichoke hearts, roasted garlic, chevre, mozzarella, Parmesan and red sauce. The sauce was not too sweet and I loved the roasted flavors of both the tomatoes and garlic. The pizza crust itself was just OK. They have happy hour Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm which includes ½ off wings, $ 2 off apps and pizzas, $ 5 select wines, $ 2PBR& Lonestar and $ 3.25 Tito’s and house margaritas. This is the only sports bar in this area and with great service and quality drinks Highlights will do well.
