For anyone who gave this place 3 stars or more, I hope you never have a good tasting meal again. This place is a half step above pizza hut and could NEVER survive in the east coast. Don’t eat here

On our way to a play later on here in Austin my daughter and I needed to find a place for lunch. Had seen some good reviews of Hoboken Pie. This is definitely a hole in the walk kind of business, but as you know you can find some of the bests tastes in a place like this. Coming in you can be shocked by the«minimal» seating. . and I do mean minimal. Probably fewer than a dozen people could sit down at the three tables in here. They have what I would call alternative music playing, which really seems to fit and provided the right vibe for the place. The person at the register was friendly and patient with us as we decided what to order. We decided to create our own 18″ pie with onion, mushroom, bell pepper and pepperoni(on my half). While waiting we got our drinks. They had Maine Roote sodas in the dispenser. Wasn’t sure if I had ever heard of this before but was immediately intrigued with the Blueberry soda. It only took one taste and I was hooked! We got our pizza in a short amount of time and I was happy with how it looked. A good amount of toppings and piping hot. It is a very thin crust pizza, but not crunchy. Admittedly there is some grease there on the on when you lift the slice, but I don’t really mind that. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I don’t really like their delivery system. They said it would be 45 minutes, then I called them and they said no it would be more like an hour and a half?! They said 20 more minutes on top of the 45 I waited. Apparently, the guy miss quoted us. I don’t really care how good the pizza is, they should be able to accurately quote a delivery time.

Staff is extremely crude. Never been treated with such disdain. They will not receive my business nor any acquatinces business.

I live about a block away and eat here all the time, and it’s solid pizza. Thin, tasty crust, great sauce, pretty good East Coast style for Austin. I’m a pizza fanatic and snob, so 4 stars is a damn good rating.

Pizza is really bad. Had delivery tonight, someone else ordered it. Had no idea what it was supposed to be. One was burnt, uh, something, with some sort of thin meat and pineapple? I don’t know, it tasted like burnt crackers. Huge burn spots. I would be embarrassed to ask someone to exchange actual American currency for a shitty pizza like this.

Update Review: I appreciate Hoboken Management trying to make the situation right by reaching out to me. The instance I wrote about was my second time eating Hoboken and the first time was pretty good, so, I will certainly try Hoboken again. Man needs variety and man needs pizza! TWOAND A HALFHOURS It took two and a half hours to get one cold cardboard-like pizza delivered. Only about a mile away. $ 35 for a sad cold pizza. TWOAND A HALFHOURS

Granted it was late on a Monday Night… please put a new pie in the oven every hour or sooo… it was so old looking we had to pass… and we were crazy hungry… Originally, gave them one star, but management cared enough to post a response. And I didn’t actually taste their pizza… and so I’ve upgraded them to 3 stars to be fair. I only really hit Austin when it’s late and with out of town friends and so hopefully the pizza will be yummy the next time. Thanks Dave for your response.

Unfortunately, Austin has very few late night delivery options and we’re all stuck with Hoboken. The guy who takes the delivery orders was beyond rude(what’s the point, dude?). We live in a big complex and we’re giving him some tips to find us and was confused and flipped out and refused to take our order. Needless to say, they’re complete ass holes here and won’t ever be calling them again. The food is only so so too, so really no point. Homeslice it is!

3 stars because Zach was very very accommodating to our pizza needs. He was funny and nice and let us pick the exact slices we wanted in a pie. Holla at Zach. The reason I did not give 5 stars(even though the slices were amazing) is because I wanted something sweet and ordered the cinnamon sugar knots but they came tiny and dry with no dipping sauce. Recommendation to upper management: either ice cream, sweet cream dipping sauce, or a lite icing to dip them in. Also pizza was soggy. Bye

I was a storm chaser with a good friend and to be brutally honest with you, when visiting the northern states. we ate pizza every day at a different parlor. I’ve had great pizza and I’ve had bad pizza. Hoboken pizza has captured greatness. Thank you for a great pie.

Being nice goes a long way in the service industry. Pair that with great food and you have a winner. This place was so small and often overlooked as its not part of Austin’s hustle and bustle. But if you don’t try it, you’re missing out. The pizza was so fresh. The sauce was fantastic. I could taste the tomatoes and not just a bunch of salt. Tons of toppings, the crust was crispy and held everything, just the perfect amount of cheese that it wasn’t greasy. We got the supreme at 14″ and it was just right for 2 hungry people. Fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. The guy behind the counter was super nice and they were kicking out pizzas fast enough to not have anyone waiting too long.

Fantastic pizza! Great prices for perfect sizes. We split a 14″ supreme between two of us and the kids had a 16″ pepperoni all to themselves. They have a ton of toppings but we kept it simple. The sauce was great and obviously fresh. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is not a lot of seating, and I mean like three tables, so if you come looking to dine in, be warned. They also sell by the slice so it’s a great place to grab and go. If you like large slice, New York style, I highly recommend this place.

I was introduced to Hoboken Pie from a friend who claims that they are the best. I have my favorites, so I was reluctant to try something new when I could go to my usual. She offered to treat my meal if I would just give a try. I ordered the Greek salad, and the Gamboa pizza pie. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. the ingredients gave it a bit of gourmet feel, but it was still like traditional pizza. The vegetables were fresh in the salad, as well as on the pie. The crust was crispy on the outside, and the sauce was perfect in the amount & consistency. One of the my favorite features of this pizza restaurant is that they use local products. I would definitely recommend the Gamboa, and I will try the West Texas next time.

I stopped in here to grab a bite before a show at a neighboring venue. It smelled delicious when we walked in but, the tables were all dirty and you had to wipe them yourself. We ordered the Hoboken Supreme and waited about 30 minutes for it to be done. We ate in and I did appreciate the shaker with garlic and oregano. You usually don’t find that at pizza places so, it was a nice touch. Pizza Run Down: Crust: Floury and very doughy in flavor Toppings: Fresh and the best part of the pizza. That being said the Roma Tomatoes should be dried before they are put on a pizza otherwise it makes the pizza watery. Sauce: Not good and watery Cooking Temperature: Wasn’t really done in the middle and the crust could have been a little more brown When the pizza came out we couldn’t even get it out of the box. It was so watery that I had to ask for a fresh plate after my first slice. Just one soupy mess. I can see the appeal of this place because it’s probably a late night choice for people leaving the bars but, I won’t go out of my way to come here for my pizza fix!

Absolutely my favorite place to get Jersey style pizza. The West Texas and the butcher are easily my top 2. however there is limited seating.

Top 3 Austin pizza restaurants!!! Hoboken Pie is my favorite delivery pizza shop in town, it’s local, fresh, and their pies are innovative. My favorite pie is the butcher which features every delicious meat you could imagine. If your feeling frisky go for the west texas pie which features pulled pork and peppers YUMMM!

Red River pizza restaurant that makes very good pizza! Vegans — they have seitan, Daiya, and homemade tofu ricotta(which, in my opinion, blows Daiya out of the water)!

Walked into this place on a weekday night. Pretty busy despite the weather. It’s not a very large space for indoor dining(only about three small tables), so it was a bit cramped. Several pizzas available for slices or you can order one to be made. We ordered garlic knots to start and they were absolutely delicious. The bread is soft and warm and slathered in garlicky goodness. We ordered the Gamboa pizza. It was good, but I feel like it would have done better as a white pie.(I might just think that if it has artichokes, it should be a white pie.) It was cooked well though, with just the right amount of droop at the end. Service was awesome. Very friendly and welcoming.

This is my absolute favorite pizza in Austin, it’s fresh, thin and delicious. I know most folks go to Hoboken after a night of partying given it’s location. But I promise, your drunken taste buds are not over exaggerating. It is that good. Have a slice on a weeknight when it is not crowded or order ahead it’s worth it, even without the bar hopping. This chewy thin crust with delicious ingredients on top right out of the oven is a slice of heaven… Er Hoboken that is.
