Nice, clean, comfortable, good value, convenient — KRISPYKREMENEXTDOOR! We will always stay here. Front desk stage is polite, professional, prompt, attentive. Cannot review the breakfast because Krispy Kreme next door! :) We recommend it

NPS = 9 Great hotel and newly built! The staff downstairs was very gracious and Andrew could not have been nicer(Manager in charge when we checked in). Andrew was nice enough to hand deliver me a razor and shaving cream when I mentioned to him that I had forgotten mine. The room is fantastic. Spacious, clean. And everything is NEW! There was fresh coffee every time we went downstairs to the lobby. I did not get a chance to check out the gym or the pool but they looked great. I’m sure the met were too since I know Holiday Inn Express knows how to do things right. There’s a Krispy Kreme next door for some breakfast if you don’t like the complimentary breakfast offered in the hotel. Spooky thing about this hotel: it’s next to a cemetery. You can see tombstones by the parking lot. Kind of… eerie. Anyway, I had a great stay.

Please don’t confuse this 5 stars with a Waldorf or Four Seasons but this place is top notch for a Holiday Inn. This particular Holdiay Inn is only a month old and it shows. Everything at this hotel is new and you can see they didn’t go cheap on anything, including fixtures, TV, beds, etc. At check-in the gentleman at the front desk was polite and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast, while I didn’t eat it, looked good and had a variety of items. We requested a late checkout and were granted it with no problems. On top of it all parking was easy and there are plenty of banks and restaurants within walking distance. Also, easy access to 35 and S. Congress. This may become my go to hotel for Austin.

If I could give this place less than 1 star for customer service I would. We flew in for a wedding and had a reservation since January. We specifically asked for an adjoining room because we had a large party and were assured the room would be available. We even double check and reconfirmed the day before. When we arrived at the hotel we arrived and were told our reservation had been cancelled and our room was not available. The hotel obviously made a mistake as we had never cancelled the reservation. I spoke to the manager and general manager who basically told us there’s nothing they can or are willing to do. I asked would they be at least willing to compensate us for their mistake and our inconvenience, but the general manager told me they wouldn’t do anything about it. My problem was not with their mistake, but the unprofessional manner in which they handled it. I won’t be staying here again and I caution those who plan to stay here to double and triple confirm that your room Will be there when you arrive! Be sure to get the names of the folks you speak to. The hotel opened its doors in late Feb 2015. I had booked a room back in December but found no reviews available for this business at this location. At that time I had called the number for the hotel +1−512−8511000 but the call was forwarded to the call center. She assured me they were open but I think she was incorrect. Today is March 4th and I called the hotel directly to confirm that they are open. An employee answered and identified himself as the front desk staff. I asked him how long the hotel was open. He said it has been nine days, including today. My review is based on my phone call. I will update the review after my stay in April. So far so good.
