as a long time denizen of the northeast, and the Philly region in particular, I have sampled hundreds of cheesesteaks from every type of shop, and truly can say that this chain does the best at the duplication of the classic in more ways than one. The meat is properly chopped, the grease from the meat is properly retained in the sandwich(very important), the bread is firm yet chewy, and the condiments be they peppers, onions, or mushrooms, are plentiful and cooked perfectly. The prices are a little high — but they are in the range as most Philly shops.‘ Only thing that would provide the fifth star is delivery to my house in the boonies of Hyas County, but we know that will never happen.

Huge fan of jersey mikes. Fresh cut in front of you and the overall taste is not compatible with a subway or a jimmy johns. You can have it cold or warmed up for that extra fresh taste. There seasoning that they use is great. Have had the turkey a couple of times and really like it. Have recently tried there Philly cheese steak and it was very good and filling

Had a bit of a problem last night concerning an online order of 3 sandwiches. It went like this. Submitted the order at 5:50pm and the system said it would be ready at 6:10pm.Being the first time i’ve ordered online here, i thought this was nice. So i walk in at 6:10pm and the place is busy with 8 or so folks in line. I go up to the register and say i’m here to pickup an online order. The lady at the register, who may have been new, gave me a weird shocked/stunned look and mumbled something i couldnt understand. After a bit more awkwardness, one of the guys making the food kinda mumbled that the order was«in process» and they’d call me up when its ready. I sensed a problem but Ok great. So i sit down and wait, more folks come in, and i wait, until everyone who had been in line when i arrived were long gone and folks who came after me were getting their sandwiches. At this point its was clear they missed my online order and were slammed/frazzled/confused. So i wait — impatiently — and finally get the 3 sandwiches and go home to find the order was not filled correctly, wrong toppings on sandwiches, wrong bread, etc.

A coworker told me about the Big Kahuna here. I was craving philly cheese steak and that sandwich hits the spot! I normally do not like sandwiches or sandwich places but I love philly cheese steaks. I have not been to Philly for the authentic thing yet so take my review as you do. I love the onions and mushrooms in there. They grill the jalapenos also so it’s not as spicy. I don’t know where I started doing this but I love having banana peppers on the side. It’s a good philly cheese and I will keep coming back.

I gotta say not too impressed. For a large philly it was a lotta cheese(not right) plus chips/drink/tip was a lot of dough. $ 18 smacks! I didn’t like the sando. it was a cheese bomb and was a bummer. Maybe being the last guy of the night had something to do with it, I don’t know but. I could have done better. Not a destination for me thanks.

I love this place, it is soo good and the staff is very friendly. The only thing i dislike is that the machine asks about a tip when i pay with a card. Thats kind of weird, but really good subs!

What is there not to like about Jersey Mike’s? They are my favorite fast food sandwich. I have tried a lot of their sandwiches. Everything tastes so fresh. I like the bread they use in their sandwiches. Their philly cheesesteak is excellent as well. Do not forget to get your sandwich Mike’s way.

As a guy that grew up in South Jersey, hats off Jersey Mike’s for a solid Italian Sub and Cheesesteak today. CS– good, crusty bread, meat was tasty and the team prepped it exactly as I requested. Italian sub was solid as well with freshly sliced and good quality meats. Get it «Mike’s Way» if you want to experience it in true Jersey fashion. Only thing that kept me from 5 Stars is they put mayo on cheesesteaks unless you request other wise(whats-ah-matter-fa-you, eh?!)and an overall lack of «wow-ness.» That said, one of the best Philly/Jersey sandwich options in Austin, particularly for a chain. Outside of my kitchen of course…;-)

Very clean, the cleanest sub shop I’ve ever seen. Fast and friendly service. The sub was pretty good too, get Mike’s way.

I love their Original Italian, fresh sliced meat makes a huge difference. My all-time favorite sub west of the Appalachian Mountains. The Big Kahuna is probably my favorite philly cheesesteak sandwich anywhere. Lots of gooey cheese. They were a little light on meat this time. Hope they haven’t changed the amounts. Highly reccommended!

Jersey Mikes. GOOD Subs I always get it Mikes way! Its a really good place to go on your lunch break or if your in a little bit of a rush. The only thing is everytime I go to this location there is this girl that is always there. She is not very personable and she always gets my order wrong and then she gets pissy with me when I let her know its wrong. I will watch her when she makes it and she roles her eyes and mumbles to her co worker, she’s probably talking smack. Crazy chicken head don’t get pissed at me. I would probably go there more often if she wasn’t there.

We went in early in the day, what seemed not that long after opening for the day. I was not really sure this was a good idea over the other food places in Southpark Meadows but I wanted something different. The man and I were greeted and were asked if we had been to Jersey Mike’s before, when we said no we were given a run down of the basic offerings and what most people ordered. We chose to split a large Italian. The meat was sliced to order, and while we chose to have it ‘Mikes way’ we opted for mayo and asked for onions and tomatoes on the side. When the sub makers learned that one of us hated onions and the other hated tomatoes they made each of us our half of the sandwich how we wanted it. No eye rolling, no huffing, and generally more than happy to help. The counter was clean, and the meat slicer was like wise, having worked at a Schlotskys a while back I could appreciate fresh sliced meat, and bread that was made that day. Also you can tell when those style cutting boards are not clean, like when there are darker slashes from crusted previous orders, maybe we were early enough in the day, but I can say at some point bleach cleaned that board. If you are one of those people that are VERYSPECIFIC about your diet, or have an issue with more than one kind of meat on a slicer then a) eat somewhere else, and b) don’t buy deli meat(they clean the slicers but not to the taking the whole slicer apart between meats and you do get parts of other meat and cheese in there, without taking the whole blade off you just can’t sanitize a slicer back to kosher standards) Also Mike’s Way was fantastic, I love me some red wine vinegar on a sandwich and Subway tends to look at me funny when I say«uh-huh I want more!’, Jersey Mikes didn’t even bat an eyelash.

Jersey Mike’s is the best sub around as far as i’m concerned. The Chipotle Cheese Steak is simply part of the basic food groups… one of the necessary building blocks of life… yummmmm. The restaurant is clean and in a great location. Easy to get in and out of off Slaughter. Everyone that works there have always been very cool people too.

I don’t know who Jersey Mike is, but I am giving him a star for each of the following: –having a Unilocal sticker on the door –having a clean sandwich shop(the meat isn’t sitting out in prepackaged trays like Subway. Ew.) –hiring some nice guys who also think the Mrs. Vickie’s Jalapeño chips are the best thing ever!!! –I can order my sandwich ‘Mike’s way’, and not have to stand over the sandwich maker telling him each ingredient to put on there
