I recently saw Julie as a student and purchased a 4-​session package primarily to improve my speaking abilities and the projection of my voice. I’m a healthcare professional and do lots of communicating throughout the day with my staff, patients and their families. I was noticing that as I became tired later in the day, my ability to express myself well would fade. Julie taught me how to use my vocal apparatus in a much more efficient and effective way, and I also had some fun doing some singing along the way! Highly recommended.

Julie Brown worked wonders with my daughter! Julie is very nurturing and positive. She has a great ear, and can identify quickly what is off and provide different strategies to improve performance. She also provides a combination of voice and life coaching which was much appreciated for my young daughter. Yesterday, my daughter told her «it has been awesome learning with you». Today, my daughter was able to perform confidently during her audition thanks to Julie. We highly recommend Julie, she is a shinning star lighting up singers’ souls.

My husband grew up with parents who were/​are classically trained vocalists. In the past 40 years they’ve trained and worked with the top vocalists in the country. They’ve performed for the president, in musical theater and opera companies throughout their careers, in addition to choir directing. Having grown up around wonderful singers (and understanding how they become that way), my husband sat in on our daughter’s first lesson with Julie just to see if we would sign on. He was blown away! He was amazed that this level of talent and expertise in teaching exists «just around the corner.»
My teenage daughter needed more command of her voice as the lead singer in a band. In just one lesson, Julie totally transformed my daughter’s voice, and quickly gave her the tools she needed to access her potential. What were once impossible notes to hit, are now easily obtained. I am not exaggerating. At first, we were surprised at how much voice lessons cost, but signing up for 4 (instead of paying as you go) is a steal. You typically get what you pay for, but in this instant we are paying far below the level of instruction. In another city (like New York), we couldn’t afford Julie’s expertise.
I highly recommend her – especially for teens. She made my daughter feel empowered, comfortable, and in control of her voice. She often invited me in to witness my daughter’s lessons and readily gave me detailed updates about her progress.
Julie is enthusiastic, positive, fun, friendly and simply fabulous.

Julie Brown is a fabulous voice teacher. I have been singing for ten years and am classically trained, and know that there are all types of voice teachers out there. Julie is not only very inspiring and fun, but she also knows how to give you the tools to use your voice to the best of your ability.
I came to Julie needing help with an audition. I hadn’t had a voice lesson in over 6 years, but with Julie, it was just like riding a bike. In one hour I went from not being so sure about my audition piece to feeling incredibly confident. She truly believed in me and was so fun and sincere. I felt like it didn’t matter if I was offered a part or not, because I had a blast preparing my audition piece with Julie.
I came to Julie with a lot of vocal technique and skills, but I left a more confident and happy singer. I walked into my audition ready and excited to bust out what Julie and I had worked on… and, I got the part!!! She gave me that extra ‘sparkle’ that made people notice.
Julie taught me excellent technique and even more importantly, a real sense of pride in my voice… and it was just dang fun!

Julie Brown is such a wonderful voice teacher. Her enthusiasm and teaching techniques have helped me develop my voice beyond anything I could have hoped for.
She doesn’t just teach rote techniques… she has the indispensable ability to alter her techniques to fit the student. She has taught me so much in the lessons I’ve had with her. I feel more confident in my singing ability than I ever have. My tone, resonance, breathing and pitch have all improved greatly since I started working with Julie. I highly recommend her as a vocal coach.
