Kalea is so great! I love getting my hair styled and cut by her. Not only is she a great hairstylist but she’s also an awesome person. Zoey is also fabulous. They both have a great dynamic and I would never go anywhere else.

Kalea is a color wizard, your hair will look like a masterpiece. I don’t trust anyone else and will literally fly down all the way from Denver to have her wave her magic wand on my hair. She’s also very knowledgeable and always up to date on the best and healthiest products for your hair.

Impeccable service and a wonderful job on my color; classy and professional. Zoe listened carefully to what I was interested in and then did a great job choosing colors and a cool pattern. I’ll be back.

I Just had my 2^nd visit to Kalour Studios on Sunday. It’s plain to see that my first wonderful experience was no fluke. These ladies are great! First thing I noticed was the presence of my 2 favorite products, The Kevin Murphy and Deva Curl lines. I was immediately greeted and offered a beverage. The atmosphere was definitely professional but relaxed and comfortable. The Playlist was awesome! My first hair cut there was a trial run at having a shorter hair cut. Zöe was careful and considerate with my new look. By my 2^nd and most recent visit in was ready to go a little more dramatic. I could not be more amazed. I love it. I did cheat with Zöe the first time I went but I think I have found my new go to girl. Kalea is always on hand and amazing with any questions or great new ideas for future hair. It’s obvious that Zöe and Kalea love what they do. Can’t wait to add some Kevin Murphy color to my hair!

Zoë is an absolute gift to this world! I’ve been going to her since she was starting at beauty school and I have never left her chair less than ecstatic about my haircut. I swear to god I will never see anyone else to do my hair if I have a choice. I dye my hair at home, but I’ve seen pictures of other clients that she’s dyed and O-​M-​G. For real. She’s that good, friends. The salon was precious and clean, too! And, not even $ 50 for a great cut? Sign me up. No negatives for the salon, or the stylist! I will absolutely be returning.

Zoe was amazing! I have incredibly thick, unruly hair that most stylists tend to give up on and just cut into big chunks. Zoe really spent the time and energy on my hair to make it the best cut I’ve ever had.

Kalour is my new favorite place to get my hair done, the enviroment is super fun and friendly! Zoe is awesome and she took my damaged bleach fried hair and turned it around into an awesome dark plum color. I can finally run my fingers through it without tangles. The olaplex treatments are the best and the Kevin Murphey products smell as good as they work! Highly recommended!

After cheating on my hair lady with Zoe, I am forever a changed woman. She is one of the first stylist who gave me a cut EXACTLY the way that I wanted it. My hair is healthy, vibrant, and refreshed. She and Kalea educated me on everything from proper shampoo and conditioning techniques, to how to style my hair type, with as little effort as possible for this low-​maintenance gal. I absolutely love Kalour and will be recommending them to everyone. Five stars no doubt.

Went in for a consultation and the owner said she would be able to do balayage with my hair… waited three weeks for it and whenever I went in she said I would also need a haircut!!! That was about 70 bucks extra! On the spot?! Are you kidding me. Terrible service. Should’ve done her job during consultation, so I would’ve been prepared to pay 200 bucks total.

I just moved to Austin from Los Angeles and one of my biggest hurdles was to find a new hair stylist. Well, now I can check that hurdle off my list. Kalea is uh-​mazing! She is masterful at cutting all types of hair (including curly hair) and is also an expert colorist. She is the ultimate Renaissance hair stylist — no need to go to two different people for cut and color. All you need is Kalea and Kalour Studios. Kalea takes the time to get to know you and your hair in order to insure you leave with the perfect cut. She listens! Do yourself a favor and give Kalea a try — you will not be disappointed!

Kalours turned my brassy highlights and parched locks into a shiny, smooth, dark violet head of hair. Kalea is amazing and will teach you everything you thought you wanted to know, plus more insight on how to get the hair you’ve always dreamed of. The products are chosen w thought and care and the salon is impeccably clean. Five stars all the way.

Kate colored and cut my hair the week before my figure competition and it came out awesome! The atmosphere was great, it was totally peaceful, and I loved the music. A few days later, Kalea and Kate styled the hair of all the girls on my team and then we competed for 16 hours! And all of out hairstyles stood up to it! They were both great! If I lived in Austin, it would be my regular place!

I love Kalour. The environment is really cute and comfy. I love the coffee bar that has lots of healthy but tasty goodies. Kalea always makes me feel and look beautiful. I have really curly hair and she always knows the best way to cut and color it. I recently got some bayalage highlights and a summer cut and am very happy.
With curly hair it is always hard to find someone who can really work with the unique texture of your hair. Kalea knows best how to cut, color, and style my hair and, I have found a home at Kalour!

Let me first start off by saying, as a guy, I thought I would never go to a salon/​stylist to get my haircut. I was always into the quick trim places. That has all changed after my first experience with Kalea.
Kalea is such a great stylist. She is knowledgeable, offers suggestions, super creative, and most importantly provides a unique experience. She has been able to recommend natural products that help stimulate hair growth and look a whole lot better than what I was using before.

I love Kalea’s new scene. I’ve been going to Kalea for my Brazilian Blow Out for years. I was excited to get her text that she was moving from Shine Salon to her own salon on South Congress. I was even more excited when I walked in, what an lovely space, so quite and relaxing.
I split my time between two hair stylist for cut, color, and brazilian blow out. Kalea is so much fun to spend a couple of hours with. She always educates me on hair and products, plus we talk business in general. Such a pleasure.

Kalour Studios is amazing! Kate did an awesome job with the balayage color. I am obsessed with this technique they use! It makes your hair look naturally kissed by the sun. I’ve told everyone about this salon and even have a friend driving from four hours away next week to try them out!
Kate was super friendly and easy to talk to about what I wanted and she offered some advice for my face shape and my new bangs– that totally rock by the way!

I have worked in the salon industry for many years. I don’t personally do hair, but having worked around those that do for so long I have learned a few things. The most valuable to me, is that no matter how talented the stylist is, they don’t always listen to what you really want. I understand that more often than not they do know better than me. They have years of experience and I just handle paperwork. But at the end of the day you want someone who can listen and communicate to you what is best for your hair, without just doing whatever they want unbeknownst to you.
That being said, Kalea is truly great not only with your hair, but with you as a human being. She cares about what is going to be flattering on you. She cares about finding the best way to give you what you want, while still maintaining the integrity of your hair. She cares about making sure you have the knowledge and tools to duplicate the style she gives you at home. She will never sell you a product you don’t need, or one she doesn’t fully stand behind or use herself. On top of all this, the hour or two (depending on your service) you spend with her will be enjoyable and the environment will be beautiful and relaxing.
Anyone looking for a solid hair stylist or colorist or curly hair specialist or keratin expert or bridal/​event hair guru (basically all around hair wizard), who is also a genuinely rad person to spend a couple hours every month or two with — Kalea is perfect for you!
