La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe

We visited this place for the first time, and it was amazing! Really good food, my fiancé order a breakfast place and I ordered the chicken crêpe Riviera. It blew my tastebuds with so much flavor! It was amazing m, yo should give it a try! The prices are average just like any other restaurant, also they forgot to bring a hot chocolate but after telling one of the cashier they made it right away! Great service. «I’ll be back»

I like this place for lunch. Their creamy tomato basil soup is worth a star all of it’s own.

First time here and placed& picked up a take-​out order. I was greeted almost immediately by two people wanting to help, although the restaurant was pretty busy. They helped me with some menu questions and really were super nice. The order was ready very quickly and everything was included in my order. The food tasted pretty great, especially the tomato basil soup. My sandwich was a bit dry and lack-​luster, so is upped it in the soup and enjoyed it that way! I’ll be back for sure. They have a nice menu selection and were all so friendly.

The half rosemary rotisserie chicken paired with a caesar salad is one of the best quick and easy lunches in town. And I can’t get enough of their quiche Lorraine.
Parking is adequate. The restaurant gets very busy so mind your arrival times. It’s a cafeteria style service model where you pick up your own food and seat yourself at any available table.

Great location. Bangladeshian Manager was awesome and we received great service. Food was delicious and unique. Fresh baguette and fresh bakeries were amazing !

Always great food. I regularly get the chicken caesar sandwich and its consistently amazing. The customer service is outstanding. Today there was a younger guy with a heavy accent and glasses working. He was exceptionally courtious. The restaurant itself was immaculately clean. I love this place.

Great for breakfast lunch or dinner! Healthy yummy food and wonderful service from their always pleasant and friendly staff. Today my bf and i came in for breakfast. He had the American breakfast which comes with your choice of eggs sausage and a crossaint. I had the Parisienne eggs Benedict. Poached eggs with hollandaise on a bed of ham bacon on a crossaint. Super yummy and VERY filling. We had the unlimited coffee cup and of course some of their yummy bread and that jelly! !strawberry is my fave. Of course I’ll be back! !

EITHER WAY I AM NEVER COMING BACK AND WOULD ADVICE YOU TO CHOOSE AN ALTERNATIVE RESTAURANT.
FOOD: 4 stars. well made, good portion, fair price.
SERVICE: –5 stars. If you love the food get it to go or risk suffering the indignity of their service (if you like to know why, continue reading)
1. When you walk in, there should be a sign telling you «wait to be seated» or «order here» right?! WRONG! 4 employees behind the counter and not one greeted me or ask me if I (or anyone in my party) needed any help.
2. If you ask for an item to go, you’d think they have it ready for you right?! WRONG! Ordered a large soup to go and I was plainly ignored.
3. Since there aren’t signs to tell you where to how to order or where to pay you’d think they would guide you to register or present you with a check? WRONG! It was to me to wait in line again and pay for the food.
When we were walking out, we were met with a employee at the entrance accusing us of not paying for the meal. I told her the my payed receipt was on the table, she responded (without bothering to check if I was telling the truth) «No, you haven’t payed, my manager and I has been watching you» — EVEN THOUGH MOMENTS EARLIER I HAD PAYED THE MANAGER HIMSELF (since he was at the register.) My fiancé and I rarely eat at home and hence we have ate at just about every restaurant near Austin’s Great Hills, and we have never been treated with such disrespect and honestly lack of professionalism.
As a former manager in service industry, I understand that a customer paying outside of normal operating procedures isn’t an uncommon problem. However, I would have expected to be presented with a bill or AT LEAST BE APPROACHED WITH THE RESPECT AND DIGNITY anyone deserves, let alone a patron. INSTEAD THEY PREFERRED TO HARASS ME AS I WALKED TO LEAVE.
And look, I understand it’s Thanksgiving and being at work is probably not what you want to be doing right now, I’ve been there. However that never gave me or any on my employees license to make our patron suffer any indignities or disrespect.
Or maybe had I not been a young Hispanic man dressed in athletic clothing I would be better service (my clothes aren’t even baggie!!!) Sad to think that in this day and age such prejudice still prevails.
Good service can overshadow mediocre food, and albeit the food here wasn’t bad, the best food in the world does not merit this kind of treatment of customers.

Came here for a work meeting. Fun French inspired place. I had a mocha, scrambled eggs fresh fruit and sausage. The mocha was great! I recommend the croissant too!
The restaurant has a lot of tables to spread out. I was able to sit at my table for a couple hours and get some work done too. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Bathrooms were clean.
Location is great right off the MoPac. Easy to find.

Always enjoyed the food. The service is always friendly and helpful. I was get soup and salad. Always good choises. Great selection of desserts. The environment is always clean.

I really love this place. The décor is quaint and calm, and the food is very delicious. The service is usually friendly and expeditious. My only complaint is how expensive it is. I usually order the salade sampler: a cup of tomato basil soup, a cup of pasta salad, and a cup of caesar salad, and it totals about $ 9.41 with tax. That’s pretty expensive to me for such a negligible amount of food.

I’ll start off by saying this place is sinfully delicious. I ordered strawberries and cream as a side note with coffee. It was the best I’ve ever had. I believe the cream had some form of brandy or bourbon mixed in.
Sadly they didn’t have fresh squeezed orange juice, so I opted for water and coffee with my breakfast. Everything was very fresh and well prepared.
I most definitely will be back to enjoy another serving of strawberries and cream… I’m already salivating. LOL

6:15 PM Friday evening. Had to wait 25 minutes to get a plate of salad. Service 1 star. Woman making salads is brand new. Where is the manger during your busy dinner hours? We all expect better.

La Madeleine is always good. I always get chicken crêpe or the salad sampler~ their dessert is so good too! The Napoleon is the best.

The food was great. My turkey and provolone sandwich was fresh, the pasta was perfect and my tomato basil soup was exactly what I was craving. This location earned three stars for the cleanliness. There was newspaper pages at my feet, which I had to kick away. The bussers were half decent. One lady did her job very well and the other would leave her nasty dish bucket right by our table and walk away and come back with next to nothing. I also watched her wipe a table with the napkins that she found on the table and NOT go back with the rag. This same lady, wearing her gloves that she has been cleaning with, restocked the to go containers and handed me one with her hand on the inside. That is not where I want to put my food!
Otherwise, everything was fantastic. Just be cautious about where you put your silverware

I often go for brunch, lunch, or afternoon coffee with dessert. It’s my favorite choice for doing evening take-​home work because I get a great internet connection and excellent food. I love my bottomless coffee & the winter fireplace. The French medium roast is just delicious! The décor is interesting and cozy. I try to pick up a French phrase every time I go there. Naturally, I don’t remember any, so I have to go back soon. :) Nice loyalty program too.

Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Restaurant and restrooms were both very, very clean. Love the flavored tea. Prices are reasonable. Kids loved it. Tons of parking. Great location next to one of our favorite stores, Lakeshore Learning. You can even sit outside here at adorable bistro tables. Will definitely be back.

SO GOOD. Never had a bad experience at La Madeleine and the food is always delicious. I love sitting by the fire and spending time over coffee and dessert after an awesome meal. Great substitution for Panera and Corner Bakery and spots like that.

It’s Easter and if course this place was crowded. After we got our food the line got smaller of course. I thought the food was just ok, but kind of pricy.
My wife got her espresso drink after I had to go ask where it was. The manager brought us a gift card for having to wait. Well if my wife hadn’t said anything we would have just left after eating. Thank you so much for the gift card, totally wasn’t expecting that.

I give a 5 star just for their pastries. Omg their pastries are just delight and heaven. I don’t have any problems with them. I think it’s great to come here when you have a sweet tooth! Their fruit tarts are Devine.
their actual real food food is OKAY&DECENT. Not really anything special or «French like». Whenever I come back to, I expect better experiences but nothing has changed. Just the same old same old.
Pricing is okay, I guess its equivalent to a chipotle bowl.
Their service needs to improve. Sometimes they take forever to get the customers going. So expect long lines during lunch/​dinner. Moreover, everything is okay. Worth a try. JUST TRY THEIR PASTRIES OK. YOU WILL NOT REGRET.
