Amazing! Wonderful! Magical! Those are just a few words that I would use to describe my experience with the LBD team. Katie, Liv and their team are EXCEPTIONAL. From start to finish, they oversee every little detail, and on the day of your event, they really shine. Katie and Liv are first class, top notch and by far — THE BEST AT WHAT THEY DO.
As we planned our wedding, Katie was always my voice of reason and sense of calm, in what can be considered a stressful process. Lucky for me, I rarely felt stressed because she already had things taken care of. She totally understood my vision for the perfect wedding day, and absolutely made our dreams a reality.
One thing I feel is important to note is the element of DESIGN that they will bring to your event. In no world could I have ever dreamed of the floor plan, lounge furniture or the ever-​popular whiskey tasting cart that we had at our wedding. Every detail is carefully thought out and immaculately executed. Not to mention, with over 20 vendors, it was the most seamless day as far as set up is concerned. I just couldn’t imagine our wedding without LBD.
Most important to us was the 100% chance of rain on our wedding day. My husband said it best during his speech — «Katie and Liv are the only ones who can take a 100% chance of rain, and turn it into a positive.» Y’ALL — the rain didn’t stop us from having the most BEAUTIFUL ceremony. Katie had helped us secure the most BEAUTIFUL tent, and they decked it out with cute lights and heaters. It felt like a big, warm hug inside. And the way the seating was set up was so unique — and absolutely perfect. to It was SO intimate and was a really special aspect of our wedding day, one that we will never forget.
I was truly sad when our wedding was over, because it meant that I wouldn’t get to talk with Katie almost every day anymore. But, I have made the BEST friends in them, and certainly would recommend them to anyone looking for a great event planner. I will most definitely be using them again in the future. They are truly wonderful, and I am so grateful to have worked with Katie, Liv and their entire team.

When I began the wedding process, I was so nervous and scared. I didn’t really use Pinterest, never dreamt of a wedding like most girls do, and had no place to start. Katie and her team walked me through EVERYTHING. We gave them the reins and they created something that was SO perfect, it was beyond my wildest dreams. I literally never even imagined a wedding like mine, because I thought it was impossible to achieve such perfection. LBD has contacts with the most amazing vendors and I felt so confident and happy about every single decision we made. There are so many different vendors available for every part of an event, and I LOVED knowing that Liv and Katie were entrusting only the best to do mine. Throughout my wedding planning process, I spoke to many vendors in the wedding industry (even some who weren’t doing my event), and they all gushed over how amazing the LBD team is. I think that speaks so much to their incredible reputation.
Their correspondence was awesome – from keeping me in the loop on details, to letting me call them and cry when I freaked out because my dress was a little too tight – they were ALWAYS by my side. Since I didn’t have a lot of my own visions for my wedding, they came up with SO many ideas and always shared them with me, letting me choose (even though most of the time I left everything in their hands), so I know that they would be equally as happy to let the bride be as involved or as uninvolved as she wants. By the time my wedding day rolled around, Katie and her team knew my family and me (and my fiancé!) so well that having them around was just like having my most trusted friends right there with me.
On the day of the wedding, they orchestrated EVERYTHING. I truly don’t know how people are supposed to get guests in the correct locations, make sure photographers are getting every single necessary shot, deciding when to cut the cake, etc etc etc WITHOUT a coordinator. They handled everything and it was just as flawless as every bride’s wedding day should be. My family and I never worried about one single thing that day because LBD handled EVERYTHING. If something went wrong, we never knew. I personally know so many brides or Mothers of the Bride that never truly enjoy the wedding day because they’re too stressed with the logistics of it all. I’m so glad that we had LBD to relieve all our stresses so we could enjoy THE most amazing day!
I think what sets LBD apart from other event services is that they incorporate so many DESIGN aspects. From the design of the centerpieces, to the reception chairs, and the outdoor lighting to the ceremony altar, they designed an event that was so beautiful with not one detail left untouched. Your wedding day should be one of the most magical days of your life, so PLEASE call Liv By Design so that you too can have the most perfect wedding ever!!!

Working with Liv was the absolutely worst experience of my life!, I would NOT recommend her to my worst enemy! She came in 4 times over budget. Multiple times there were late night emails tha t were rude and angry with the bride, mother, and grandmother.
Katie and her staff from California were nice. I missed the entire wedding doing work that she should have been doing.
Completely awful in every way. I wish there was a way to give zero stars.

Ladies, overbearing but caring mothers, aunts, cousins, bridesmaids listen up: Liv By Design Events is ah-​mah-​zing. I live in Los Angeles but am from a small town outside of Austin. When my (now) husband and I were planning our wedding, we immediately decided on Austin but I knew it’d be a challenge planning a wedding a thousand miles away. I had no idea where to start in the planning process… so I hopped on a plane to Austin and met up with my mom to start trying to find a venue. By chance, while visiting Vista on Seward Hill, the owner mentioned a wedding designer and planner named Liv and said we’d be a good fit. this is all I knew of her. I called her immediately and the next day, we met. From the moment I sat down with her, I knew she was «the one». Her style, her personality, her creative ideas were exactly what I never knew I wanted. I unfortunately wasn’t blessed with the gene that told me what I envisioned for my wedding day – Liv fulfilled that and more! I love her energy, enthusiasm and her passion for what she does. She goes above and beyond – for example, during the wedding planning process, she was visiting LA (where I live) for various reasons and took time out each time to have dinner or drinks with me to discuss the wedding. I consider her a friend now and love her dearly. Once the wedding day came, she was so much fun and her staff took it to another level – they are all so lovely from Natalie to Katie to Mayra – they’re all fantastic at what they do. Mayra will blow you away with her graphic design skills – everything she did made me so, so happy! To sum up my ramblings, I’ll say this: if I hadn’t hired Liv & her wonderful team, we would have ended up with who knows what – Denny’s catering and a cake from a roadside stand?
