I’d been dreading getting an accountant until a friend recommended Mari to me. In my head, accountants are all these old, gruff, white Republicans, and since I have gnarly daddy issues I kept putting off everything related to my books. Which gave me anxiety and made me consider getting addicted to Xanax.
Mari is great. Super friendly and she bleeds competence and she’s cool. I think maybe it’s important that your accountant is cool. You spend more time talking about what’s up with your business and less time defining the slang terms you use in conversation.
The Xanax is put away, the IRS is happy, and my books are looking better already.
