Surprisingly good food for a hotel restaurant. We sat outside at a table overlooking the river, which was lovely. Cocktails were $ 10 each, which was reasonable for a hotel and the pour was generous. Tried the crab stuffed avocado, pretty good, a Texas Brushfire sushi roll(pepper tuna and asparagus) that was very tasty, and an excellent fried avocado jicama taco with charred corn and black beans. That one gets a highly recommend. I may have to go back tomorrow and get another one! And three tacos for $ 10 was a bargain. Service was super nice.

Friendly staff, good beer, and the Shrimp and Chorizo Flat bread was excellent. It’s still a hotel bar but the bartender and other staff are efficient and friendly.

This is a super convenient breakfast buffet that I take my kids too. I usually skip eating and just read the paper because it is overpriced for adults. The Sunday Bloody Mary bar concept is cool but the city of Austin restriction on liquor sales on Sunday means I have yet to get to try it. The outside TVs are terrible. They have this plastic cover on them that prevents you from seeing the image clearly. If you head over here remember that it’s a hotel. There will not be any locals.

Outside seating, food, service, and drinks were excellent. First time trying this place, definitely impressed. The view of the city and lake is a major plus. Great place for date night.

The Texas Brushfire Roll was good, and had peppered tuna and asparagus. The Diamond Roll was not that great, and also had asparagus, but the candied garlic was not tasty at all. It was nice to be on the water, but there was no real restaurant, just a bunch of lounge tables for people to sit at.

Over the weekend I enjoyed two lunches and 1 dinner here. I was impressed with each item I ordered. The avocado tacos and pulled pork avocado quissadillas were awesome. The Cobb salad was a huge portion with great tasting ingredients. Enjoyed every bite of every meal.

Food was amazing! Very nice yet relaxed atmosphere. Would totally come back for happy hour. The edamame was delicious and avocado tacos were perfection. Our server Kat was quick, funny, and suggested amazing items off the menu. We would go back just for her. We also had Kate… not very friendly. Smiling goes a long way. But Kat… A+++++.

I sat in the SWB section here to have an early dinner before our bat boat tour. We had sushi and it was fantastic. The sunomono salad was delicious, as was the dragon roll I ordered. Paired with a couple of cocktails, this place was a great stop before our tour. I’m glad we had enough time to stop here.

Amazing drinks, amazing food and phenomenal service! Ashlene, the restaurant/bar manager made our anniversary dinner perfect! Hyatt customer service is always great, but the staff in Austin exceeds all expectations! My wife and I will definitely be back. Thank you again!!!

In town for a business meeting, we had cocktails here. There is a partial view of Austin’s skyline. The bar staff is attentive and made some great handcrafted margaritas.

PREREVIEW: this is a LOUNGE. The main restaurant«SWB» is no longer serving dinner. Marker 10(the Hyatt’s bar and lounge had to take on the task of satiating the desires of their guest’s looking for spectacular service and attention throughout. M10 is now the only venue in which to eat at the Hotel if you are a guest at night. I work nearby and have been stopping in to sit out traffic every now and again for several months. Having spent the first half of my career in Hotels/Restaurants I can personally discredit Unilocaler Melissa H. review giving M10 one star because«We were charged a beer that we hadn’t ordered… I guess its funny when you get busted trying to rip off customers.» This person has never worked in a restaurant with a POS system. Unlike the brand new hip independent restaurants, many older places(or especially in the case of an older Hotel property like Austin’s Hyatt Regency) do not update their software. For one, it is expensive and if a hotel can get by without it for awhile-thus allowing some Manager or Executive to keep the numbers low during their tenure which in turn gets them promoted-they will. I’m positive the servers would like updated POS more than anyone! With that as a backdrop, servers at nice places(ESPECIALLY global brands) ALMOSTNEVER do shady things like just tack a beer on a bill because they can. When a high volume bar has multiple bartenders and servers simultaneously using different computers at the same time… INFINITE things can happen that cause a bill mistake. Just 1 example, in the case of MICROS if one server is looking at the screen, he may have 100 open tabs he is looking through trying desperately to find YOURS. In the case of Marker 10, this server could have hundreds of open tabs as the hotel proper has over 400 rooms and the entire sold out hotel could theoretically be down at the bar with an open tab at he same time. In 1⁄8 of a second while the server is moving his finger to push YOUR tab, the screen can suddenly refresh to the top of the list if another server is browsing tabs on another computer. Without realizing it during that 1⁄8th of a second, the server, thinking he was pushing the«Johnson» tab to update with another round… has instead actually updated the«Bryant» tab… ANDBOOM when«Bryant» asked to close his or her tab… there is the beer that was supposed to be on the«Johnson» tab. It was an accident and in my experience as a customer at Marker 10, the bartenders are always pleasant and happy to fix anything if alerted that something about the tab is not right. This is just 1 example how this can happen. I could give Melissa H. 15 other ways her bar tab had an extra drink on it by a simple mistake but I will spare everyone. Having previously worked in the industry, it infuriates me, even in I don’t like the restaurant or bar, when somebody rates a 1 star for something like this. Maybe at a dive bar it happens on occasion, but at a GLOBAL brand like the Hyatt… not a chance the hard working people there are getting«busted trying to rip off customers.» THEREVIEW: This is a lounge and is meant to be a place to relax, take your time and chill out. When I am there I see people rushing and ordering takeout, etc. and this is not the purpose of a LOUNGE. Marker 10 is the best kept secret on town lake… a wonderful outdoor terrace overlooking the water. Us locals do not know about this and I was skeptical to write this review because I like it without the hordes of new Austinites flooding in. Ask for the bartender Logan who’s been tending bar here for several years. He ALWAYS remembers my name, asks me things like«what kind of flavors are you feeling today» or «Let’s improvise a new fantastic drink for you.» His improvisations are always fantastic. I just let him do his craft and never order a certain menu drink. They have a happy hour from 4 – 7 M-Th and you can get good food for a very reasonable price. They now offer the old SWB menu items and the«Ahi Tuna Nachos» Logan expertly described were absolutely spectacular! You can also order sushi and it is all GREAT! I also have enjoyed the fantastic crispy fried quail on a bed of smoked and mashed parsnips. Its a hotel and in case you have never been to a hotel, the prices for Food and Beverage are not the cheapest in town… that’s because having F&B is an amenity for the hotel guests. So yes, not the cheapest, but with bartenders like Logan who remember your name and ask you about your family and go out of their way to create one of a kind cocktails obviously made with pride, I would recommend this place. So go during HH if you can’t handle hotel prices. Ask for Logan(Jake and the barback Kyle are also extremely friendly, personable and helpful) and he will take care of you. Slow down a little bit, talk to him, enjoy the view, maybe take the stairs from their terrace and take a little stroll down the Hike and Bike Trail… breathe…LOUNGE.

Watch your bar tab. We were charged with a beer that we hadn’t ordered. No apology, just some giggling amongst the waitstaff. Because it’s funny when you get busted trying to rip off customers.

We stopped by here so I could get rid of one of those stupid coupons and let our daughter watch the bats fly out. It’s a overpriced hotel bar. The sashimi wasn’t very good and cut paper thin. The pork quesadilla and sweet potato fries ordered for my daughter were good but not worth full price(there is a happy hour price till 7pm). We asked for some rice to accompany the sashimi, and they happily brought us three half bowls… then tried to tack on $ 5 per(half)bowl of white rice on the bill. Talk about nickel and diming someone. They begrudginly took off $ 10 for the rice, but made sure to make me wait a really long time to receive the bill(as a passive aggressive punishment I guess). If you sit outside, it is also where the hotel guests smoke. We found this out while trying to find an area not littered with cig butts. Parking is also a bit of pain.

The drinks were good and the service was great. You can tell everyone helps each other out there. The sushi was severely disappointing. I was hoping for some great sushi as described on the menu but it was lackluster. Beautiful bar but complicated parking.

Over-priced dining is fine… if the quality is there. Very mediocre. Avocado tacos were bland and flavorless and served with a week old half of a lime that I couldn’t squeeze a drop out of. I’ve had better at Tijuana Flats for a 4th of the price. Also, the sashimi was cut paper thin.

Do locals actually hang out at hotel bars? I would have never thought to do so, but luckily my boyfriend suggested it. The weather was nice, so we sat outside on the patio. A large party took up the best spot, but we still had a nice view of the water and downtown. I was put off by the fact that there was a trash can that was pretty much sitting across from us at our table(I shit you not, *maybe* a couple feet away, if that). Such a strange place for that… maybe the table had been moved for some reason earlier? Whatever, not a big deal. It didn’t smell or anything, and we weren’t on that side. My boyfriend and I both ordered Mojitos. He had a classic, and I had a raspberry, both of which we very much enjoyed. The food really impressed us. We ordered the Avocado Bomb appetizer, and we agreed we could have eaten probably 10 of them because it was THAT good. For the main course, we ordered a couple of rolls: Marker 10 and the Diamond. They looked almost identical, but I assure you they did not taste the same, though equally delicious. The fish was so fresh and the rolls expertly rolled, and this is coming from someone who had an extremely disappointing sushi experience the day before. Ask for Becca! She’s lovely! We will definitely be back.

Delicious! Yum! The reason I was drawn to Marker 10 was a special that I saw on . It was $ 25 gift certificate with. $ 37.50 minimum, meaning I need to spend $ 37.50 to get the $ 25 credit. First of all the prices are a bit on the high side but with my gift certificate that wasn’t going to be a problem. My first concern was parking, I was going to the Hyatt for dinner and was not a guest at the hotel. Sushi hour starts at 5 and I knew metered parking was free after 6. Conveniently across the hotel is metered parking and a short walk to the hotel. I decided to park across the hotel versus pay the ridiculous cost to park in front of the hotel. I sat in the lounge area and it did take a few minutes for the waitresses to get to me(although it is understandable because it is a lobby not Restaurant seating). I ordered the avocado bomb(DELICIOUS) which came out pretty fast, the crab is REAL king Crab meat and the spicy mayo sauce accompanies it perfectly. I then ordered the diamond roll and lava roll both also delicious, I will note that the flavors are very modern rolls with there being asparagus in them but none the less melt in your mouth delicious. My only complaint would be that it did take the sushi a while to get to my table and also to finally get my check paid for, but the food was melt in your mouth. If I didn’t have the certificate I would have to think twice about coming here(I’m a poor college student) but the food is high class and the vibe very relaxed. Will be coming back(I have plenty of certificates for this place).

Yum Yum Yum! This is a great place to order some sushi, grab a cocktail and lounge on the open patio with a good friend or partner. The service was wonderful, the drinks are delicious(I tried the cucumber martini and top-shelf margarita) and the sushi is fresh and TASTY! Oh, we also had the chicken tacos and thought the beans weren’t that great, the tacos were fantastic! But seriously, this is an Austin patio you don’t want to miss. It’s right on the lake and you can rent tour boats before or after you wine and dine yourself into bliss.

Decided to venture down to the hotel restaurant for dinner our first night in Austin. We were tired and figured we’d take it easy. I didn’t expect much from a sushi bar in a hotel, and the menu was limited but– whoa!- my boyfriend and I agreed this is the best sushi we have ever had. Holy wow. We got 3 of the rolls– the Socco, the Marker 10(I think), and one with candied garlic. The Marker 10 and the candied garlic one were out of this world. Melt in your mouth delicious symphony of flavors. I walked over and handed the sushi chef a 20. It was that good.

On twitter via @hyattAustin I found out that the Hyatt on Town Lake is now serving sushi Thursdays through Saturdays. I had plans at the Long Center yesterday evening which is oh so conveniently close to the Hyatt so I had to check it out. The sushi bar is on a small section of the Marker 10 Bar which has an excellent view of Town Lake and Congress bridge. The menu is fairly small but fabulous all the same. The sushi menu offers 3 starters, 3 rolls, 4 hand rolls and 4 nigiri/sashimi. I ordered the Marker 10 Roll which consists of spicy tuna and ume plum on the inside and hamachi, topped with truffled caviar. The fish, caviar and ume plum perfectly compliment each other. I propose they rename the Marker 10 Roll to the Perfect 10!
