Men’s Wearhouse and Tux

I often shop for my two sons and husband at this location. I drive from Hutto, Tx frequently.
This store is my first choice.
I’m alway greeted politely.
I usually know what I need and am In and out in record time. If I tell them I need a certain style shirt in a certain size the salesman is on it. He/​she will immediately start pulling choices for me as I’m looking in another area. I like this.
This location is a stress free. I have never left unhappy or upset.

The salesman I spoke to was very pushy when I came in to buy a tie. I just wanted to look around and shop at my own pace but he kept pushing me to buy a bunch of ties.
I also sent a picture of a tie to my gf to make sure that it matched her dress and he made a few sexist comments of how I shouldn’t let her decided what I wear.
Overpriced and pushy salespeople. Avoid.

If I were just reviewing Amanda this would have been ⁵⁄₅. Amanda is amazing at this location. She has a great eye for matching colors and styles. She even gives excellent recommendations based on the type of work you’re doing. She was a delight to work with. The down side was a lack of communication between the online store and physical location about promotion deals.

Screw these guys. This store feels like walking into a frat house. I just wanted to be measured for a tuxedo, which is allegedly a free service they provide. They refused to help me because it wasn’t for a rental or purchase through Men’s Warehouse and they needed to be available for «paying customers.» That’s the last time I go to a Men’s Warehouse. Disgusting.

My first time here at men’s warehouse in Lincoln village and I felt with Juan please go see him if you need nice cloths he is the best.

We rented a tux from this location for our daughter’s wedding in Reno Nevada. My husband did try on the tux in the store, but failed to notice the difference in the length of the pant legs. One leg was 2 ½ inches shorter than the other one. My husband is very self-​conscious about his looks. There was no time to lengthen the pant leg before the wedding. And of course we didn’t even have a needle and thread. So to remedy this, he kept his right hand in his pocket from 5 PM to 11:30 PM. He walked our daughter down the aisle, stood there very uncomfortable for all pictures with his hand in his pocket. They had a really cute dance that they had rehearsed for weeks for the father daughter dance and they had to change it because he didn’t feel comfortable. He is paying a lot of extra money to have every picture that he appears in Photoshopped so it will look normal. So, in a nutshell, it was a total disaster. I can guarantee you we will never return. And can you believe the only thing they offered me was $ 21 back. Not a happy customer!

I had a really positive experience there a few weeks ago. Walked in and explained that I was kind of in a jam as I had a job interview in 2 days, needed and suit and was on a budget. Sergio took charge and got just about everything right with the first suggestion. He laid out additions, such as shirts and ties without giving me the hard sell. I am not a suit wearing guy ordinarily, but he was able to answer all my questions authoritatively. I got hooked up under budget and ahead of schedule. The rest of the staff was real friendly, and the whole place had festive atmosphere.

I went everywhere looking for a good suit at the right price, with great service to match. Dillard’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Rack, along with some other men’s specialty stores. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but the selection was so diverse that I ended up buying different things than I was planning on.
I came here after I had already visited other stores, and it was instantly a great experience. I was greeted by Sergio as soon as I came in, and after I told him what I was looking for he measured me up and started pulling suit jackets off the rack for me to try on.
I don’t feel like I’m an odd size, probably shorter than most (I’m 5’7″), but most other places I went to didn’t have very many things in 38S, maybe 7 or 8, at most. This store had plenty! There also have between sizes, which I actually ended up getting two of that fit great, because they were considered «modern fit (not extreme slim like a lot of others).
I was also looking for some new shirts, and Sergio found a few that were the type I was looking for, paired them with some great ties and shoes, and made some complete looks with the suits to get an idea of how flexible each color and pattern is.
The manager on duty marked off my pants for alterations very quickly and without a wait, since the tailor was out due to an emergency. The jacket for perfectly so it didn’t need any alterations.
There was a promotion going on at the time, so, for $ 900, I got two American made suits and the same level of service you would expect at Nordstrom or an equal high end national retailer, excluding Neiman Marcus.
I would highly recommend this location and Sergio to anyone else looking for a great fit and a great deal!

Ivy and the staff at Men’s Wearhouse have been absolutely amazing to work with! Not only have they offered suggestions for style, they have been conscientious about our budget and timeline.
We were devastated to learn that my grandfather had fallen ill a few weeks ago, and he passed away on February 10^th. Jeff needed a suit for the funeral, and Ivy and his staff went above and beyond (to truly heroic measures) to get our voucher activated early, help us choose a suit, and have it tailored the very same day I called. We picked up the suit on February 11^th, tailored and ready to go for the funeral services the next morning.
Ivy, Sergio, and Felicia, thank you so much for being so considerate during this difficult time. We are looking forward to the wedding, and to working with you for our tuxedos. We will always come back here, and recommend this location to our friends.

All the reviews are true. Sub-​par quality, corny clothes, lousy customer service. Their selection is limited unless you are a weird size. I came in looking to get fitted for a wedding I had to go to in NY. Granted the tux would not be rented from Men’s Wearhouse and I explained this upon entering., I did explain that I would be willing to buy other items to make up for this. The first associate that I talked to told me it wouldn’t be a problem. Before I could blink that associate was helping someone else and I was left standing around waiting for someone to help me out. The next person to approach me was far less helpful and laughed at the idea that they would take my measurements (despite the fact that they would need them to sell me the shirts I was looking at while waiting for help). Immediately after laughing at my question he tried to sell me on some ridiculous pants that we were standing next to. I simply turned around and walked out the door. Take your business elsewhere.

Avoid this place for tux rentals, I had a terrible time.
First off, the older lady that ‘helped’ me was less interested in hearing what I wanted and more about selling me their promotions. I don’t want a free suit I want some tux rentals!
I decided to go to Jos a Banks after she called my fiancé (and not me!) to remind ‘us’ that we needed to come in. You have my phone number, you don’t know her. Why did you think it was appropriate to call her?
That’s BS service right there. I got almost the same price and 5x the service from your competitors.

As a general matter the personnel I’ve encountered at this location are competent and kind, and get the job done.
The one exception is the tux rental department. The woman in charge has never been kind to me, is entirely unaccommodating to even the smallest request, and belittles anyone who seeks any sort of alteration she arbitrarily deems unnecessary (usually with a sneer and some sass about «if you want a perfect fit, then buy one»). I get it, a rental will always have some issues, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help a customer fix ANYTHING. I.e. — they gave my brother the wrong size waste on his pants, and when he complained about the pockets flaring because they seemed too tight, she repeatedly accused him and not knowing how to wear dress pants, that they were fine. My brother, who has worn plenty of tuxedos and dress slacks, protested, but she refused to even look at the pants despite his insistence. He finally had to pull up the pants to their proper location (just below the belly button), gesture to his crotch, and verbally bring her attention to the fact that the inseam rode up so high as to make his junk entirely discernible. She then finally admitted that maybe they were too tight. It was embarrassing and rude.
That experience is akin to others I have had getting fitted for tuxes at this location. Most of the other rental staff mimic the boss’s unwelcoming demeanor. I know, I know, I guess I should just go ahead and buy a tux already. But while I may eventually purchase a tux (or other items) from this store, I will not be renting there ever again if I can avoid it.

Slow pace… not terribly helpful or knowledgeable staff.

Quick recap: come here if you have no regard for your time, money, sanity, and personal appearance.
I (unfortunately) chose these guys to dress me and my groomsmen. We come in for fitting a few days before the wedding, and all but one outfit has major sizing problems. One guy’s sleeves were 6″ too long, and my slacks looked like capri shorts. Fine, that’s what fittings are for, right?
«No problem, we’ll fix this, come in after 3pm» the clerk says. Great.
We come back in the next day, and find that they have failed to hem/​replace/​fix several of the issues we went over. They forgot to order new shoes, they forgot to hem a shirt, they forgot to hem a jacket, they forgot to hem some slacks. Other things they did manage to hem.
«No problem, we’ll fix this, come in after 3pm» the clerk says.
I make sure to call ahead this time, and make sure they fixed everything. He confirms «yes, we have those shoes, and we hemmed the pants, etc. etc» I come in and the pants are still not hemmed. THEY ARE STILL NOT HEMMED. Basically, I’m getting married tomorrow and these guys just keep dropping the ball!
So how do I spend my last day as a free man? Watching over this guy’s shoulder as he hems my pants. For two hours. Thanks Men’s Warehouse for that. I’m glad I could help manage your god@#$% retail outlet for you, since you obviously can’t.
Jesus, just please don’t rent from them. Their entire staff is rude, lazy, and apparently incompetent. I look horrible in all the wedding photos, the tux was way too big, but literally this is the best they could do.

I went to these guys because I did not realize there was a local place right next to my place. Needed tux measurements for a wedding I’m going to in Jersey. They acted like I was nobody, certainly not anybody they wanted to deal with. And messed up my measurements. Some of it was illegible, some of it was wrong, «43S», I’m a 42 regular, and nobody does odd measurements for coat size anyway. Ridiculous. I went to Wally’s in Tarrytown and they treated me right.

Nothing was done properly here when I went in to be fitted for a suit. Peter asked me what size jeans I wear. I told him 38, he handed me size 40 dress pants, which were huge on me. I asked for a 38, which fit perfectly. He also guessed my height at 5’8″. I’m 5’11″. Peter insisted that I was a size 48T jacket, which seemed off to me, but since he was the professional, I went with his recommendation and he had a suit jacket tailored to «fit» me. When I got the jacket, I was appalled. I looked like a bad guy from Dick Tracey, like a child wearing his very large dad’s suit jacket. Everything about this jacket was wrong — the armpit hit me in the middle of the bicep, the shoulder pads extended WELL beyond my shoulders, it hung down too far on my body, the body of the jacket was cavernous (I could have almost fit another person in there with me), etc. I did not like the way I looked. I went to the location in Southpark Meadows to see if this was how they thought I should look. The guy there said no, measured me and told me I am a, «44R all day long.» I took the suit back to the store I purchased it from for an exchange (the Southpark Meadows location told me they didn’t have that suit in stock, so couldn’t offer an exchange). Peter made no attempt to refund me the tailoring charges, which were only necessary because he fitted me for a ridiculously over sized jacket (no alterations were needed for the 44R) so I finally asked for store credit so I could go to another location for my purchase.
When I tried the suit on at the Lincoln Village location, after it was tailored to «fit» me, a second employee told me it was a great fit (Peter wasn’t there at the time). The employees at this location do not know what they are doing. I do not trust this location AT ALL.

I am anything but a sharp dressed man. It would be charitable to describe most of my clothing as swiss cheese-​esque. When I was asked to be in the wedding party for one of my close friends, and after procrastinating, I realized I needed to get an outfit on the double-​well, I realized I needed professional help.
Something about wearing nice fitted clothes makes a man feel different in a positive manner. I think I sort of understand the feminine need to purchase clothes. I was very impressed with the tux I bought from them that I decided to get a suit as well. And thankfully, the tux was ready just before I had to head out of state for the wedding.
Or at least, most of it was. As I was packing the morning before the flight, I realized I didn’t get the pants I ordered. I called them, but there was nothing they could do on such short notice. I had some dress pants that weren’t quite so nice-​ah well.
I don’t hold them accountable for this-​I should have planned better-​still it would have been nice to get what I ordered when I needed it. I didn’t make a fuss about it, and as such didn’t seek any special compensation. Still. The pants, man. I needed those pants.
