Love this place. My gf and I go here at least 1 – 2 times a month.(We are addicts). GETTHEAHITOWER… just do it, it’s amazing. My only complaint is they are closed on Sunday.

I’ve been coming here two years every since I moved to ATX. The food is great and the waiters are awesome, they will teach you how to use chop sticks but if your like me it will take awhile. Great place!

The manager, I think his name is Chris has zero customer service skills. He is extremely rude. Instead of giving me the first table available the guy seated everyone behind me. Even though there were plenty of two-seater tables. He kept saying they needed clean. He. Was cleaning two seaters. But none were for me. Then said it will take 15 minutes for the table I wanted. Huh??? Basically playing games with the customer is not cool and should be grounds for firing.

All of the rolls were made well and tasted great! I thought the tempura was a little more on the not so crispy side but still A-OK! The pricing is very reasonable compared to say Soto or Tomo Sushi. The place is a little on the darker side lighting wise and the lunch crowd on Friday was quite full. Service is a bit hap-hazard. We had to call them over to start our order. The tables in the booths look like they have been cut off, seating is for 2 on each side but the table extends out only like 60% of the seat(I found this weird). The seats are pretty worn out. They give you 10% off the bill on non-lunch-special items if you complete the Unilocal review while you are there. They actually come around and read the review. While I think it’s really nice to get the 10% off — its way too much pressure and this is why the ratings are probably on the high side. I mean would you really complain about the food right while you are there unless it was really bad? Also I can’t imagine this being kosher from the Unilocal rating side. This review has obviously been updated since my visit.

GOODFOOD. We come here often with friends and family. The location is convenient and there is plenty of parking in the complex. The size and pricing of the food is fair, and portions are large. We usually come here for lunch and order the bento boxes, which are all delicious and filling. Not the best Japanese food I’ve had, but it is consistently good. I usually have leftovers to take home too. Service is also excellent and fast.

Usually… Awesome sushi at a good price! However, today was the worst experience I have ever had at a sushi restaurant. My boyfriend ordered a sushi burrito. His came out, and I am not exaggerating, 15 minutes before mine. I ordered a roll I have ordered over 10 times from here. It contains cucumber. Whatever was in this, was not cucumber and if it was is had gone bad(it was yellow). After eating a single piece of sushi, I expressed my concern to the waiter and she said«I think it’s shrimp tempura»(wth?! That is not even an ingredient in this roll and looked nothing like it). Then she took my plate to go «ask the chef. She brought back the plate and said«yeah it’s cucumber». I told her that it tasted bad and she proceeded to go get a plate of fresh sliced cucumber and said«this is what we use for the rolls».(Keep in mind the crap in my sushi was yellow and this new cucumber looked normal) I showed her side by side the cucumber vs the other crap and she did nothing but walk away. There was no way I was going to eat the rest of the roll when the first piece tasted that bad. I literally ate one piece of sushi. Waste of $ 15. Be careful is you get anything with«cucumber» in it.

My husband doesn’t really like sushi, he loves it now! If you can satisfy him, you must be good.

This is our favorite sushi place! Everything is always so fresh and flavorful. From the moment you are greeted at the door until you leave you feel welcome here. A great value too.

The sushi was very warm when I received it, and at least one of the rolls(I think the spicy salmon) was extremely fishy. Despite it being quiet and not overrun with customers, my waiter came to take a drink order, back to take a meal order, and then I never saw him again until he brought me the bill. Someone else brought me the food and neglected to bring me some soy sauce or tamari. It was a little strange — they seemed to be very off their game that night. Nonetheless, I’ve heard stellar reviews from friends, so I’ll be giving them another shot soon. This particular visit was a disappointment, however.

The best place to go! My bf and I love the ahi Tower. We add just 1 roll with the tower and we are super fill by the end. This place never let’s up down.

Midori will always be my favorite sushi place in Austin. I’ve been to plenty of other places and still no one compares. The atmosphere, wait staff, food, and prices are amazing! I love walking in and having the guys behind the sushi bar greet you with a loud welcome. It really puts a smile on my face. I love ordering to go because they do a great job of packaging everything. I drive all the way from Leander just to get my sushi fix and it is always more than worth it. The best part is that in the 7 plus years I have been going they have not changed one bit. I really feel like Midori should be voted best sushi in Austin!

Good food, nice ambiance, and I like the background music. We ordered the tempura appetizer, the heavenly roll, the Marilyn Monroe roll, and chicken yakisoba. The food came out speedily and I felt bad since we came at an odd time(3:00) but the service was nice. My only gripe was that there was little space to put all the plates on our small table. Aside from that, I had a good meal.

I AMSATISFIED Came here with my sweet boyfriend and the atmosphere here is perfect for a casual date. The food is super delicious. Price range is similar to other sushi restaurants. All the ingredients are super fresh and the rolls are huge! I would definitely recommend Midori to others. ENJOY!^^

Midori is a pretty good place overall. I had a good first experience there and I have to say it’s one of the better sushi places I’ve had in Austin. Their lunch specials are so so worth, so definitely try to go for lunch if you can! I got the salmon roll sashimi combo which came with 3 pieces of nigiri, 6 pieces of sashimi, a salmon roll, and 3 pieces of the Phoenix roll. And all this was only about $ 14! Where can you find a deal like this and with sushi that’s actually decent? I thought the sashimi, especially the salmon was very on point, as was the nigiri. The rolls were good, but my only problem with them was that the rice was too mushy and packed together way too much… it was kind of disappointing honestly. The rice was warm, so I kind of wonder if it was maybe because they used fresh rice to make the rolls? I can’t really tell, but they were definitely not that great. I’m willing to go try it again though just to see if it happens again. I was just puzzled since the rice under the nigiri was perfect. overall though, I did really like the lunch special! I also got the sunomono salad with tako and the agedashi tofu as appetizers. Both were superb! At first I thought the dressing on the salad was interesting, but the sesame seeds on top rounded it out and made it into the perfect salad! Overall, pretty impressed with the place. I’m hoping the next time I go, the rolls won’t have too tightly rolled mushy rice. Sushi rolls are such a big part of sushi! And I like this place a lot, so it’d be nice if I could enjoy their sushi rolls too.

Service is excellent here. The rolls are twice the size of everywhere else in town and absolutely delicious. The variety of rolls is the best in town as well. This is my personal favorite for sushi either dining in or take out. I have eaten here so many times and never had any issues ever. The staff here is friendly and efficient in every way. We eat sushi every week if not more often. I’m quite picky about it so I assure you this place is wonderful.

Loved the service and delicious food! The baked volcano roll was phenomenal and I highly recommend it! The salmon sushi was delicious. The Godzilla roll was good but not as good as the salmon sushi and volcano in my opinion. We will definitely be returning because overall, we loved the baked roll and sushi. We are very eager to try their other rolls! Delicious food & great service!
