Great, chill experience, and I came away with the haircut I wanted! I’ve already booked my next appointment.

Mischa is amazing! She is super welcoming and friendly every visit and has the patience of a saint. ]
I am not what one would consider a girlly girl. I try my best to look nice, but I am lazy as all get out and dreadfully low maintenance. Mischa takes whatever mumbles of a description I give for how I want my hair to look and makes it happen with a smile. She also does so in a way that I can make it happen on a regular basis myself without having to make up for lost years of primping training. Most importantly, I trust her judgment on whether crazy ideas I have will work on me or not. I am endlessly impressed with her creativity if a look has to be modified to fit my features, style, etc.
The only thing close to a downside is that now I only want her to do my hair so I have to plan ahead on scheduling — small price to pay!

I’ve been going to Mischa for nearly 7 years and not only is she my hair beautification expert she has grown to be a very dear and trusted friend. She’s wonderful!

Mischa has been my stylist since I moved to Austin in 2010. I wouldn’t let anyone else cut or color my hair.
I’ve been picky and paranoid about who touches my hair since I was 14. I won’t go in to detail but I will say it involved one of those places in the mall and I’m scarred for life.
Mischa has a way of giving you exactly what you’re looking for even if you’re like me and not so articulate with your explanations. Let’s face it, photos are the best reference.
I also know that if I brought in a photo of a hairstyle or color that I thought I wanted and it wouldn’t look good on me, Mischa would let me know and she would find a way to take my idea and make it work for me.
I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair within a thousand miles.

Omg! A co-​worker just got her hair done & she looked amazing. My hair sure needed attention so I asked for her the name of her hair dresser. Mischa is awesome. She really seemed to know what I needed! I am constantly getting compliments on my cut & color. And it only takes 5 minutes to style it! I highly recommed Mischa; she is the best of best & I will follow her wherever she sets up shop!

I was in Austin for a day and had a few hours free and I needed to get my hair done. The salon was able to take me in even on short notice. They were very courteous and they made me feel comfortable and welcome. They quickly offered me a choice of wine, beer or water. I did my hair with Brittany to change my hair color and she listened to what I wanted. She did a good job, while still caring for my hair. She took her time, so that it could look perfect. I was able to have a friendly conversation with her and left from that place pretty satisfied. I’ll be back for sure.

I moved to Austin over the summer and tried another salon first, the salon was okay but the stylist wasn’t. I made a friend who has FABULOUS hair and she referred me to Mischa, thank god! Not only is the salon super nice and low key but Mischa is super sweet and just got what I wanted immediately. I am so thankful I found her, she did my color better than I could have imagined as well as my cut! I already have my next appointment and unless she quits I can’t imagine going to anyone else!

I’ve been going to Mischa for 6 – 7 years now, which has included a lot of different hair styles & colors! I’ve always had a great experience. She’s efficient and fun to be around and will always try everything she can to squeeze you an appointment in.
Mischa and Erin (also at Joie De VIe) also did my hair for my bridal portraits and my wedding day and it was just perfect! I got so many compliments on my hair throughout the evening and still love it just as much in the pictures.

The relationship a woman has with her hair is very much like the relationship she has with her partner: sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s bad, but when going out in public, it must always look great. (OK, maybe those are just my hair/​relationship issues.) Since I have no natural ability to handle the tantrums my hair throws, I have to rely on others to tame the beast that sits on top of my head.
I have been going to Mischa for my color for over 10 years. In that time, my hair has been a beautiful array of fall colors, with hues of red, caramel, and chocolate brown. When I’ve wanted to try something different, Mischa has told me what will and what will not work, but she’s always given me something that will work for me.
Mischa enjoys continuing her education and learning new techniques and new trends in the hair industry. If you get on her client list, she’ll keep you up to date with new techniques she’s learned, new products that are great, and most importantly, any upcoming scheduling conflicts that she might.
Bottom line: Go to her. Now.

Mischa is bar none the best colorist and stylist in town. She needs 6 stars.
