This place is so chill. The people who run it are always cheerful even at 1am. They’re so friendly and the food is wonderful! Their yogurt soju is bomb and not a bad price! I recommend this place to everyone!

Like the other reviewers said, the food is good and the service can be better. However, I suggest you check your credit card statement after, or if you can, pay with cash! They ended up charging my card an excess of $ 10 in the end after the tip! Funny thing is, I gave tip out of courtesy when we were treated rudely to the point that my friend didn’t tip! If fraudulently overcharging me is your way of making up for the less tip, maybe you should consider improving your service.

Went here around midnight with a group of a couple of friends close to around Halloween this year. I tried the seafood pancakes… it was okay. It didn’t really taste like it was very well cooked to me. It probably would have been fantastic if something was done with the freshness. This was my first try at Korean food, I seriously hope there’s better stuff out there than this. I would round this place up to 3 stars, but my 2 other friends really didn’t like the food here either(they thought it was below okay), so for their sake I gave this place a 2 instead. One of them said the food made him feel sort of queasy, but he seemed okay afterwards I was with him for awhile. I was trying to bring them somewhere else, but they wouldn’t listennnn. If only they would have trusted me *sigh*.

The food is ok but on the salty and oily side. I would have still given them 4 stars if it wasn’t for the terrible service. We were there at 1:00AM and there were at least 5 other tables still eating and ordering but the waitress kept rolling her eyes at us so I asked her if we did something to make her uncomfortable and she said«no, as long as you eat and leave with everyone else» I assured her that we would eat quickly and leave. She went on to be very rude throughout our meal. She never brought us water, silverware, side dishes(ban chan), and even rice I had to ask her to bring us. I ended up having to ask where everything was and serving our table myself. She never apologized even when she saw me getting our stuff for the table and serving it for ourselves. I am sad that this is the only Korean restaurant that is open late. I would go anywhere else if there were more options.

The food here is AMAZINGLYDELICIOUS! Gam Ja Tang is perfect! Too perfect that the TW of us finished the entire pot of soup and pork ribs. It’s not too spicy but super tasty! The boiled dumplings are good, the side dishes are the best I’ve ever had! We are from Atlanta GA there is a «Korean town» called Duluth filled with Korean restaurants so we eat Korean food all the time. Some are way too spicy for our taste and some have really sour kimchi. But their kimchi is freshly made everyday and so freaking delicious! Words can’t describe how satisfied and happy we are right now! We will definitely come back again for my favorite soup and kimchi! Here is the best Korean restaurant!

Pri good korean food. I suggest getting the Galbi-tang here it probably the best in Austin. The owner is pretty nice even tho she says i’m too buff. The omelette thing is pretty good too. I always eat like a king here. The only knock is the service might be meh if you’re not with a big group.

Authentic Korean, for sure. However, the seafood is obviously frozen and the squid excessively chewy. Prices are rather high, though the portions are huge(one entrée really is enough for two people). Better luck probably going down Lamar a mile and hitting the Korean shopping center next to Walgreens.

The food here is probably 3 stars at most. The environment is also a big thing for me. The pricing as well. 25 dollars for a stew with ramen is spam is just ridiculous. It wasn’t that good and I couldn’t finish it because a gigantic black cricket fell on my table while eating and ruined my appetite. The waitress was rather absent but I expect that from Korean restaurants, mostly I just didn’t like the look of the place. I don’t recommend sitting in the booths.

I love how they have the home-cooked food feel. The food may not taste the same each time you visit but it’s guaranteed to take good & authentic

The pork bone soup was delicious, also the soup surface was covered by some seeds that I do not recognized. The bibimbap was delicious. We also got stir fried kimchi and pork belly. I didn’t like it much, because I can cook the same dish but better.

The service here is terrible. I went with a group of friends and the waitress there was pretty rude. When we would ask a question she would give us curt answers and give us looks as if we didn’t know what we are talking about. Later, she gave us the«check» and when we asked if we could split, she told us to figure it out ourselves. I would never go here again. Oh and their food was not that great and expensive. Mediocre. Not worth the fustration and price.

Worst service ever! The food is ok but the servants there are ridiculous! I just want to ask a dipping sauce for kimchi pancake but the servant said you must be kidding me! What’s wrong with asking for a sauce? Then, she stared at me for 5 mins and bring me a special sauce that literally made for me!(that’s the words she said when she brings me the sauce). Another servant dropped one slice of the kimchi pancake without saying sorry. I also ordered a pork rib soup and it comes with a gas stove. Right after the servant dropped the pancake, the stove turned off by itself due to out of gas. Overall, that’s the worst restaurant I ever been. My friend also told me that this restaurant charged 25% tips for the large group. Just don’t know why this one can open until now! If you want to eat late, there are many other restaurants open too.

I’ve always loved coming to this place, especially since they are open late, but I just went yesterday with my family(4 people total) and did not have a good experience. The waitress that we had did not seem to be in a good mood at all. Not sure if it is because we aren’t korean and we had to ask her a couple of questions in english that she had some difficulty answering. When she brought out our beef bulgogi(which is an entrée dish) it looked all watery and just had a couple of small pieces of beef on it and she only gave us one small bowl of rice to share between 4 people, we had to end up ordering 3 more bowls of rice and our waitress did not look happy about that. The seafood pancake seemed undercooked, the batter still seemed kind of watery and my favorite dish, the rice cake soup didn’t come with as much soup and rice cakes as it normally did. She seemed pissed when we asked for refills of the small korean dishes that come with our entrée even though only put 3 small pieces of food in each little side dish which was hardly enough to share between 4 very hungry people. Even when our waitress brought our food she didn’t seem to care about how she was setting down the dishes, she just kind of set them on the table harshly and left, we had to rearrange our dishes so that they weren’t stacking up on each other. I usually love this place and had an amazing experience when I came with my Korean friend a couple of months ago. We left still hungry after paying 70 dollars for our dinner. All of the tables around us seemed to be having a good time and their portions seemed much bigger and well put together while our food looked like it had just been thrown on the plate. I felt embarrassed for having brought my parents here and didn’t feel comfortable at all during my meal. Don’t think I will be going back for a while.

Love this place cause they open super late. Like most Korean places, if you’re Korean, the employees treat you a little better. I had my Korean friend come with me for some late night munchies and they totally treated us different than my precious visit with non-Korean people. The side dishes are pretty good. They vary from time to time but I love their pickled zucchini and fish cake! I think I ate more of the side dishes and asked for more refills than our entrée itself lol. We ordered one budaejigae for the 3 of us. Budaejigae usually consists of spam, sausage, ramen noodles, onions, tofu, zuchinni and spicy soup. They gave us a lot of spam, sausage and Bologna in our budaejigae and it might just be because we had a Korean at our table. But hey, I’m not complaining! I wished it the soup was more spicy, but it was delicious none the less. This place usually has more snacks and late night foods compared to other Korean restaurants, but it’s a great place to go late night.

The best Korean food ive had in austin so far. But thats not saying much because theres not much of a selection out here. Id give them more stars but the Ajumas here arent exactly the most people friendly. I dont know maybe it was just an off night. Im pretty sure ill continue to eat here until I find a place that does traditional dishes better.

Next time i will get beef and rice without noodles with vegetable or the seafoid pancake. The service was great but i was disappointed with what i ordered. The noodles were wAy tobo gelatonous for me. Oh well next time i will get soup dumplings or beef w vegetables and beef. The waitress has a great sense of humor and was joking with the customers. meant rice w veg and beef. The seafood pancake looked amazing.
