My iRobot Roomba

Wish I could love this thing like y’all. Had to return it after one day (thank you, Bed Bath & Beyond easy returns!) because it barely picked up anything (how could it? it’s so little how much will fit in there?), was noisy in a blackboard-​screech way (we have hard floors throughout), and kept getting stuck in corners. Don’t have an open floor plan, so there are a lot of corners.
I love the idea of the product, just wish it could work for me. Actually, I’d rather have a full-​size robot do ALL the cleaning tasks so those could be taken off my hands without having to deal with a real, stupid person.
It’s been a few years since I tried Roomba. Have they improved since then?

i got this as a gift and although i have a cleaning lady, i love it. it’s weird, but i am fascinated at how it comes up to a wall, ‘hits it’ and turns around and around… plus, it’s a good conversation starter and a way to entertain your guests… watch while my roomba cleans. yeah!

I hate mine. It follows me around, screaming, «YOU FILTHY LAZY PIG! PICK UP YER OWN DAMN CRAP!»

You are my puck-​shaped lover.
I know just where to touch you to make you clean. And then you faithfully return home for a recharge… and it doesn’t involve talking my ear off.
If only you’d learn to bring me queso and TIVO all my favorite shows.
