I received scratch off. I called to inquire about the prize. They said I had to make an appointment to get the prize. I made the appointment because my husband and I are interested in getting an air filtration system anyway. In the meantime I tried to research the product to be prepared with questions, etc for the morning. Well, I can’t! There website has NO information and most of the links are down! Then I went on numerous review sites and again, not happy. So when I called to cancel the appointment the girl was rude and hung up on me!!! Seriously???

Scam artists. Mass distribution of «lottery» tickets, of which all are winners. To claim the«prize» they must come into your home. Maybe to sell stuff, maybe to scope the place out for a robbery. Stay absolutely clear. Do not allow them into your home Similar scam happened in other cities, with lottery tickets looking the same. These«other» businesses had their BBB accreditation revoked. Lone Star Filtration may soon follow. EDIT: Lone Star Filtration has no BBB accreditation. They do have one BBB complaint, which was not resolved(side note: if everyone«wins», it is not a prize, but a gift) Two five star reviews are affiliated with this company. One reviewer blatantly states they work for the company. The other is more subtle. Maria G has four friends on Unilocal, one of which is Tony G. Maria and Tony GREENMAN, are married. Tony Greenman is the owner of this business. Thus, two of the three 5 star reviews are associated with the company. The third is someone living in Washington state. Lets dig on that WA resident. Rob C has added James M as a friend on Unilocal. That same James M has Maria G as a friend. Not a direct association, but close enough. Five individual 1 star reviews reporting this place as a scam. One sketchy review from someone 3,000 miles away. Two other reviews are associated with the company. Go read the not recommend reviews. Another 1 star calling this place a scam. Another 5 star from, you guessed it, Washington state. How many red flags does it take? Hopefully this has been enough.

This company is running a scam where they are mailing out scratch off«jackpot» cards and you have to call to claim your prize. Once you call, they tell you that you’ve definitely already one one of 6 major prizes listed on the card and they have to send someone to your home in the evening to validate and authenticate your card before they give you your prize. They also ask if you information about if you own the home, are employed, etc… so that when they come to your home they can try to demonstrate and sell you an air filtration system for your home. If you ask any questions, they insist that the person who comes out to your home(for an evening appointment when you and your spouse are home) will explain everything. Clearly this is a scam intended to get door to door sales people to come to your home to sell you something and the odds of you winning anything are buried in the fine print of the card that is so small that you can’t read it.
